My uncle told me that the day my mother died in 68, she was weak from her long battle with Bright’s Disease, but was able to walk into the hospital. They got her checked into a room. The doctor said she might live a week or two at most. They drove back to the farm in Mead, OK. My granddad went out to the barn and got down on his knees and asked God not to let her suffer. Less than an hour later they called and told them to get back to the hospital. Before they made it to the hospital, my mother was in paradise with her Lord. Think about the peace that must’ve given to my granddad to have that prayer answered. He was a poor dairy farmer. In Christ Jesus, we undeserving sinners can come to him and have salvation.
Amen I think it's difficult for a many people to understand something like this. How your Father and your family would be praising God instead of being angry boils down to faith and full trust in the Lord's compassion.
Thanks Mike! This has got to be one of my most favorite Biblical genre’s next to the study of OT quotations in the NT. You can’t make this stuff up!! Who can’t see the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in weaving His awesome Word together??!! After 30 years of being a believer in Jesus, the more I read God’s Word, the more I treasure I find in it. What an awesome God we serve!! 🕊
I just want to say, none of us could have seen the truth if not for His mercy and grace. Who can't? All humankind, including you and I - if not for His love. Maybe after 30 years you've forgotten what you were saved from, not by your own abilities? Forgotten that many still are enslaved. I don't know, it just seems a weirdly disingenuous thing for a Christian to say, "Who can't?" As if it should be a basic human function neglecting the miraculous nature of it? Nobody without the Spirit can, and we should be desperate to preach the gospel and plant seeds. That's how pure love would express itself, not wanting any to perish... it wouldn't self elevate or dehumanize anyone by saying who can't about something nobody can do and pretending it's shocking anyone doesn't just get it. Perhaps it could even seem a bit selfishly gleeful, instead of being grateful with solemnity and heartbreak for those not in that mercy. Our understanding is gifted, we shouldn't pretend it was always ours. So let's not get a big head about what one's been shown and made able to understand - don't bring it to the glory of men... Glorify God and thank Him for His mercy, even for enabling our own actions. I've found myself asking how people don't get it before just like you, at least for me it did nothing but potentially stroke pride. Nothing good comes for unironically using that mode of thought - no matter how passive and casual. If I'm entirely off base, awesome, but I hope you consider where that mode of thinking came from and how it developed. I know it's 4yr old, but you should be able to engage the situation if it's still your modus op and if not it's irrelevant.
Thanks Pastor Mike! I was just reading the portion in Exodus this morning where it talks about the tabernacle and I thought: mhm, maybe this represents Jesus... Perhaps I should watch a video on it.. Then just scrolling through UA-cam not thinking of it anymore I came across your video! Gift from God who knew my heart! Thank you so much for your insights!
I don't have much to say. I am so excited to learn all of this about the tabernacle. The connections are fascinating. I will be looking at this video over & over. Thank You Lord for showing me another awesome connection between the Old & New Testaments!!! I see Jesus clearer & clearer!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!
I love that you are not 'dogmatic' about everything you teach. It's refreshing to hear you say things like "this might be conjecture" or "this is my opinion/interpretation". I have listened to many teachers who proclaim things as 'beyond question", yet when I go home to investigate, I find it is merely 'an opinion held by some scholars, but not all'. I find that quite disappointing because we all know that not everything in the Bible is crystal clear. Thanks for your honesty and integrity.😊
I had listened to this several months ago as I was reading through Exodus. I listened again today because I am going to see a replica of the Tabernacle that is traveling through our area. I am hoping the 75 minute tour will give many details. I wanted your teaching fresh in my mind so I can truly be able to understand. I know most people are not interested in this part of the Bible but I find every word exciting! Thank you for you dedication!
An interesting point. God needs to be separated from us not because God protected from our sin but because we need to be protected from God holding holiness. I sometimes find non-christians take offense at the notion that we are not good enough for God. I think what they are failing to grasp is not the simply extent of our sin but more importantly the extent of God's holiness.
Agreed. What people fail to understand is that imperfection cannot remain in the presence of perfection. People fail to get the point of the story of Uzzah, who reached out to steady the Arc when David was bringing it to Jerusalem, wrongly, by putting it on an ox cart. People don't understand why GOD killed Uzzah when his intention was just to keep the Arc from falling into the mud. The problem is, the mud does what GOOD made it to do. It dries out and becomes dirt in the heat, you can plant seeds into it and it will provide for the plant. Mankind does NOT do what GOD created mankind to do. We are imperfect. Had the Arc fallen into the mud, so be it, but imperfect, evil mankind cannot touch GOD'S Holiness, His Glory, and live, because of our sin, and because He is perfect.
I agree. Man was being prepared to be in the presence of God but during that time, God raise up and selected whom He willed to come before His presence. All of Man received access to God at the rent of the veil.. Hallelujah!
These are all the opinions of men. What does God say? Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord when He is found, call Him when He is near. The wicked shall give up his way, and the man of iniquity his thoughts, and he shall return to the Lord, Who shall have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," says the Lord. For My thoughts are not, etc.: My laws are not like the laws of man [lit. flesh and blood]. As for you, whoever confesses in judgment is found guilty, but, as for Me, whoever confesses and gives up his evil way, is granted clemency (Proverbs 28:13). God doesn't need you to be perfect. And "Besides Me there is no savior" Jesus is a man, he can't attone for your sins: I, I am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior. (Isaiah 43:11) This is the opinion of God
Mike, only God could give you this gift, this is amazing. I thank you for the work you put into these studies. I so look forward to learning from the Old Testament. So blessed you teach the bible by using the bible. Praying for your continued gift. 🤗🙏🤗
The typology of Christ to Aaron's rod that blossomed is amazing :) (as is the significance of acacia wood.) (16:54) dead wood - "life out of death, showing you who God chooses" It was Jeremiah that saw the Almond tree (Jeremiah 1:11&12) (27:51) Another analogy that I have heard that could be applied here is the parallel to almonds being the first to bud in the dead of winter - to Christs sacrifice washing us whiter than snow (Psalm 51:7, Isaiah 1:18), during the harshest of conditions His salvation reaches out to us. Being the first of the trees that budded is also similar to Christ being the first-fruits of the resurrection of the dead.
Wonderful lesson Mike, I had heard a couple of lessons on this subject before but certainly learned some new things from your teaching, thank you very much, I added this one to my favorites list, God Bless.
Oh I'm so glad to have come across this! The other day my pastor mentioned that he's going to get into typology so I passed this along to him to check out. I thought he'd enjoy your studies... I know I REALLY appreciate them! 😊 Amazing stuff, Mike!
Mike Winger, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH For This Incredible Biblical/Scriptural Depiction & Explanation of The Tabernacle & Temple. WoW!!! Praise GOD & May GOD Continue to USE YOU For HIS Holy Purpose!
Very good! Thank yOu for sharing. Wow!! Interesting also is which was revealed to me by the Holy Spirit is...😊 in John 20:12 and she (Mary) saw two angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Reminds me of...🤔 The Arc of The Covenant. One Cherubim on the head and the other at his feet and Jesus’ blood was the ultimate sacrifice in the middle. Felt I had to share. All praise to Our Almighty Father that is in Heaven ✨🙌🏻✨👑✨
Thanks for the message Mike. The study of Biblical typology is a mind blowing thing when we get a chance to see the detail in God's foreshadowing. When covering the mercy seat, you missed something critical. Take a look at it again, then read John 20:11-12.
Love that picture of the tomb on resurrection day the offering was made! So much hidden in Scriptures. “You Search the Scriptures ......for it is they who testify about Me.” John 5:39 Thank you, Mike. My family is being blessed with this series.
Brother Mike Winger, I think you did an excellent Job and I love your humility and transparency when you say that you aren’t sure about things! I pray that the Lord will continue to use you mightily on the earth!! From one preacher to another God bless you!!
This series is such a blessing to me, thank you so much for preparing this material and delivering it so well! This whole series is entirely immersive!!
There is no way the High Priest entered under the veil. He was holding the incense and the animal’s blood. He pushed the veil from right to left, representing the messiah atoning the souls left of the cross or back to Adam, then entered in. When finished he then backed out of the other side pushing the veil from left to right representing the atonement of the souls after the cross.
Thank you, Pastor Winger for this great teaching! I did want to say, the Temple Lampstand does resemble the Menorah, they both have 7 places for light. However, the Hannukiah (pronounced hah, nooh, key, ah) has 9 places for candles and is used in homes for Hannukah, the 8 day festival of lights. One of those 9 candles is called the Shemesh and is the servant candle that lights up the others incrementally as the days of Hannukah progress. Bless you and all listening to your wonderful teachings.
Some interesting facts on Gold- gold was hammered thin and overlaid on the wood pieces in the temple, gold is a precious metal, the most malleable of all metals, ductile, resistance to corrosion and chemical reactions, a good conductor of electricity. Gold is a noble metal, the most noble. It only has one stable isotope, it is a mononuclidic and monoisotopic. All in all, the tabernacle of Moses a fabulous type of Christ. Good stuff Mike!

Thank you Mike for helping me experience the psalmist's statement that the word is sweeter than a honey comb. This was really exciting and refreshing to listen to. Your ministry and calling is a great blessing to me. My prayers are always with you 🙏🏾❤
Great stuff, correlations between the tabernacle and Christ. About the lampstand menorah--the center or "root" light is the main light, the other 6 lights "branch out" from that. I can never look at a menorah without thinking about Jesus saying, "I am the vine, you are the branches..." To me, the menorah is a beautiful symbol of Christ in that way.
21:50 See John 20;12 "And she saw two angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet. " The Mercy seat in the tabernacle was a shadow of the scene from the tomb. Blood from the sacrifice was applied to the mercy seat, blood from the body of messiah would drip onto the slab in the tomb where his body rested for 3 days. Also, there was an angelic honor guard (one at the head and the other at the feet) depicted on the mercy seat (shadow) and witnessed by Mary (fulfilment).
hi pastor mike. i just finished listening to literally all your mark series and started here n your Jesus in the OT study. its a huge blessing to me. i gotta hit the like button so i will know if im done with it🥰. God bless you and your ministry🙏🏻
So much detailed information! Its all so incredible how God planned everything and represented everything! Thank you Pastor Mike for this sermon, praise God!
Thank you so much, Mike! As I tweeted you yesterday, your series on Jesus in the OT has been invaluable to me in preparing to lead my small group in studying through the the Bible beginning in Genesis. Our pastor’s assignment to all groups has been to consider what we learn about the character of God and where we see Jesus foreshadowed as we study each passage. As the Lord’s timing would have it, we studied the instructions for building the Tabernacle and the high priestly garments on the same day you taught this! I have shared your content with my group before and will be sharing this as well. Thanks, brother!
Brilliant and very descriptive of the Tabernacle and how it refrences us towards JESUS! GOD Bless you brother Mike in all that you are doing for the coming Kingdom of GOD!
Thank you for this Mike! It gives me chills to learn about these connections. It seems so obvious to me. But that it is solely by the grace of God that I can see it.
This was fun to watch it’s cool seeing what these different things mean I love that you showed pictures while explaining Im going to show this one to my kids.
wow i used to think i understood what Jesus did for me,but now i know it was to an extent ,this video just gave me fresh insight , God bless you pastor and Praise and glory to the spirit of God who gives revelation and understanding 🙏
Thursday, July 21, 2022 - Pastor Mike, I found your channel a couple weeks ago when I was searching for info on the Tabernacle. I came across other teachings of yours that are clear, easy to follow, and most importantly biblical, so I decided to subscribe. Needless to say, I’ve been binge watching the channel here and there ever since. Thank you for all the awesome content.🙏🏽
Thanks so much for this study! Very well thought out and presented. You and your work is a blessing. Please don't allow anything or anyone distract from the Work of the Lord.
Amazing! I would like to touch on the cherubim on top of the Ark! Jesus says "when two or more are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them." ... TWO CHERUBS!!! In between the two cherubs is the mercy seat! Or the atonement seat! Hebrews tells us to "come boldly to the throne of grace!" Old testament tells us that the LORD sits enthroned on the praises of His people! Mind blowing stuff!
Excellent teaching. Concerning the “blue” color of the tabernacle covering: Proverbs 20:30 says the blueness of a wound cleanses away evil. Perhaps the blue represents the bruised body of Jesus.
When Jesus received gifts from the wise men, they brought gold, frankincense and myrrh. Gold for His kingship, frankincense for worship and myrrh for His burial. I love the shadows of Jesus throughout the Bible! The word is truly alive! Come quickly Lord Jesus! Amen
That's what I thought too... Gold represents purity. I absolutely love how every word in the bible is perfectly placed and this video demonstrating this from old testament to Christ. ❤
I know that Jesus is God, but I didn't know the exact details of how it works. When Pastor Mike was explaining about the Tabernacle, it just clicked! Thank you and God bless you Pastor Mike for your teachings!
I’m so glad a Caucasian American is referencing the Tabernacle. Never in the 20 years of consciously knowing Christianity, I’ve never heard a Caucasian pastor reference the Old Testament this way. I only hear it in my Hispanic churches. Thank you!!
It just makes sense, so many interesting pieces of the big puzzle all in one place, our Bible, amazing me daily, feel so blessed when I read it. Your teachings are so spot on. I enjoy your humor as well, Mike 💫✨💌
Thank you so much for this Pastor Mike. I really enjoy listening to your videos and have been learning so much lately. I am currently reading Exodus and this has been very helpful along with a chapter series by Pastor Daniel Batarseh
This is great!! I've heard gold could represent "purity" as well.. love your teaching...I follow all of your videos now but haven't yet gone back and watched many of these older videos yet..so glad I did! Needed a good sermon today and this was perfect!! Blessings!!
The gold is a representation of the process we go through to be pure, because no sin could be in HIS PRESENCE. To be tried as gold, this why the Outer Court is Bronze. Great teaching

1 Chronicles 28 says that David gave the plans for the Temple to Solomon and that David had received those from the Holy Spirit. It also says the hand of Lord was on David to enable him to understand those plans. So I don't think Solomon was just making up the number of lampstands, etc.
Yes!God is holy and if sin approached Him, it would be destroyed. God makes us righteous through Christ...we take time in being made holy...I like this presentation...thank you brother!!
Question: at about 28:30 You begin to mention that almond blossoms or almond trees in Hebrew meaning to watch or to wake. You did not give a specific verse but I looked up almond tree and almond blossom and looked up the Hebrew word for all of those occurrences and I could not find that interpretation for any of them so I am confused where you got that definition. But so far I I have learned a lot and I am really enjoying this study. It has really opened my eyes to a lot of things that I have been confused about for a long time.
Exodus 12:35-37. The Israelites were 600,000 man (not counting the women) who had received the jewelry and valuables of the Egyptians. That's surely a lot of gold.
Here’s something I thought of while watching this. Would the 12 tribes of Israel with God in the midst of them in the tabernacle be a shadowing of the 12 disciples with God (Jesus, the temple) in the midst of them?
In the construction of the tabernacle the first portion laid down was the footings made from the atonement silver. The last portion was the finials also made from the atonement silver thus rendering the tabernacle an architectural / visual merism of the atonement, and that is an image of Christ. The rest of it just fleshes out more and more detail.
Bless His Name. I am very much in love with the Lord my God. He is AWESOME. I love His word. Indeed, His word is sweeter than honey. 🍯 Thank you so much for this, Mike. This was so beautiful. God bless you in Jesus' Mighty Name.🥰🌈🌻👑❤️✝️I love Jesus Christ the more I find out about my KING. 👑🌻

This comes to mind for me too @Vickie Lewallen.
Thanks Pastor Mike
I'm studying right now in this topic . I have been searching for a clearing and good explanation. Thank God for your life. I'm so blessed
wow i used to think i understood what Jesus did for me,but now i know it was to an extent ,this video just gave me fresh insight , God bless you pastor and Praise and glory to the spirit of God who gives revelation and understanding 🙏
Loved it..so informative and interesting..God bless you
God bless you for displaying the scriptures on the screen
Very clear connection. Thank you
Thursday, July 21, 2022 - Pastor Mike, I found your channel a couple weeks ago when I was searching for info on the Tabernacle.
I am a Seventh Day Adventist, I am so glad to to see this biblical truth being taught. I thought we where the only one’s teaching this.
Excellent teaching.
Concerning the “blue” color of the tabernacle covering: Proverbs 20:30 says the blueness of a wound cleanses away evil. Perhaps the blue represents the bruised body of Jesus.
Cool thanks , I love Jesus !!!!!!
One of the symbolisms of gold was purity. We see the phrase "refined/pure gold" used throughout the old testament, and even in Revelation.
When Jesus received gifts from the wise men, they brought gold, frankincense and myrrh. Gold for His kingship, frankincense for worship and myrrh for His burial. I love the shadows of Jesus throughout the Bible! The word is truly alive! Come quickly Lord Jesus! Amen
I’ve got the same thought 💭God represents Purity, refined, Clean, Worthy, Precious, Majestic…
That's what I thought too... Gold represents purity. I absolutely love how every word in the bible is perfectly placed and this video demonstrating this from old testament to Christ. ❤
Au would be Av in old money.
Thank you so much pastor Mike for this amazing study. God bless you!
I love the teaching of the word. Very helpful!
Enthralled with this series and all the learning of typology. It truly makes the book come alive. 🤓🤗
Enthralled. Definitely. How wonderful to see there are others feeling this way about learning GOD's Word.
I know that Jesus is God, but I didn't know the exact details of how it works. When Pastor Mike was explaining about the Tabernacle, it just clicked! Thank you and God bless you Pastor Mike for your teachings!
Thank You Mike... 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾check all your Pockets they are Full Of my Prayers ...💖💖💖...we r not an island unto our selves...🎼🎵🎶
This was an Awesome Study! Really like to see the passion while teaching the subject. Thank you so much for sharing. God Bless!
Pray for me. I'm struggling with my faith.
Jesus Christ truly is God with us! 👑✝️ I've known for years. Amen.
Neat! I really like the Tabernacle. God is so detail oriented. I've studied it in the past and it is just so amazing.
Awesome👍... What if the ram skin is to atone for the sin consciousness/ guilt?
I’m so glad a Caucasian American is referencing the Tabernacle. Never in the 20 years of consciously knowing Christianity, I’ve never heard a Caucasian pastor reference the Old Testament this way. I only hear it in my Hispanic churches. Thank you!!
Keep studying, learning and teaching Great Job!
Thank you so much. I am blessed by your teaching. I thank God for your life.
It just makes sense, so many interesting pieces of the big puzzle all in one place, our Bible, amazing me daily, feel so blessed when I read it. Your teachings are so spot on. I enjoy your humor as well, Mike 💫✨💌
Every aspect of the tabernacle is representative of Christ’s intercessory, mediatorial, and redemptive work.
Blessings!!
That was really excellent - thank you Mike for this teaching.
Hey Mike, great stuff! I believe gold is about purity as a result of refinement by fire I.e. judgement
Very awesome Bible study! Thank You so much! 🙏👏❤️
The gold is a representation of the process we go through to be pure, because no sin could be in HIS PRESENCE. To be tried as gold, this why the Outer Court is Bronze. Great teaching
I'd love to hear your interpretation of Noah's Ark and the flood. Love your teaching.
Вам Привет! .

That is clearly explained in scripture...
@@emmanuelmasih2296 Mike is very helpful explaining scripture to many people, I think he should too.
THANKS FOR THE NICE TEACHING WATCHING FROM CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY PHILIPPINES.
This is so awesome! This is enough to give someone faith in our living God
Could gold also equate to purity? Gold is generally considered a pure metal (after refining process). 🤷🏼♀
Thanks brother Mike for the information about Tabernacle.
1 Chronicles 28 says that David gave the plans for the Temple to Solomon and that David had received those from the Holy Spirit. It also says the hand of Lord was on David to enable him to understand those plans. So I don't think Solomon was just making up the number of lampstands, etc.
I was thinking the same thing.
thank you for sharing this message as i study the OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY.. I must pursue and digged the biblical history in the Bible
Beautiful! It all harmonize
So thankful for teaching like this.
Watching from east Africa- Tanzania..
Great teaching pastor Mike! I have been wondering where did they get the gold from to make all the furniture? Thanks
Exodus 12:35-37. The Israelites were 600,000 man (not counting the women) who had received the jewelry and valuables of the Egyptians. That's surely a lot of gold.
OMG! This is some good stuff. Thank you for explaining this.
Blue represents the law. The commandments were written on sapphire stone (blue).
The veil was also blue, red and purple.
I love this too. The bible man, it is deep. Thank you Mike. Glory to God!!!
Here’s something I thought of while watching this. Would the 12 tribes of Israel with God in the midst of them in the tabernacle be a shadowing of the 12 disciples with God (Jesus, the temple) in the midst of them?
Yes, He surrounded Himself with the 12 disciples as He surrounded Himself with the 12 tribes.
I'm going to try and go through this whole series. Hopefully we can discuss one day
Thank you so much for wonderful teaching. God bless you.
Another excellent video! Thank you
Excellent. Simply excellent!
Very graceful. Thanks
Incense and BBQ! HAHAHA! Thanks for lightening my day with a little godly humor. Blessings, Mike!
This video is so fascinating!! I must say I love the book of Leviticus
Jesus and God are one in the same being. This proves his omnipresence. Love him even more!!
Wow thanks for the information of the Tabernacle
Thanks for the great detailed insights
Amazing! God bless you more bro.
A menorah is a 7 branch lampstand like the temple candelabras. The hanukkiah is the 9 branch lampstand used at Hanukkah.
If you read the description of the lamp stand, the new one doesn’t fit the description.
Mike, you talked about the crushing and oil and what if this in reference to the elders anointing the sick with oil to be healed?
Bless His Name. I am very much in love with the Lord my God. He is AWESOME. I love His word. Indeed, His word is sweeter than honey. 🍯 Thank you so much for this, Mike. This was so beautiful. God bless you in Jesus' Mighty Name.🥰🌈🌻👑❤️✝️I love Jesus Christ the more I find out about my KING. 👑🌻
