How so (playful and ridiculed)? I know Cheung Chi-lam played the role (Kwok Ching) in TVB wuxia series Legend of Condor Heroes. And Louis Koo played that role (Yang Guo) in Return of the Condor Heroes. And Gallen Lo played the role (Yang Hong) in the Legend of Condor Hero. Who is in the role of 'modern Yang Guo' here? Yang Guo the protagonist is the son of Yang Hong. Yang Hong is the bad guy with a little bit good here and there, and good at disguising his bad. Kwok Ching is the good guy and the ultimate protagonist in both Condor series. Cheung Chi-lam in my memory is usually the protagonist in TVB series, except his very first series about mountain climbing youths. In his role as mountaineer, he has a character somewhat of a not-good nature but here and there good...a little like a redempted Yang Hong. And who is Gu Tsai? This series has a phenomenal cast...Adam Cheng, Kwan Hoi San, Christine Ng, Poon Chee Man, the supporting actress - don't know her real name - who plays Adam Cheng's wife (ex-wife), etc. But this series is long of 65 episodes... But I cannot read Chinese... Hopefully the English translation of your comment is accurate.

This is somewhat unusual in Hong Kong or Chinese culture --- the mother-in-law being kindest to daughter-in-law...unless she's pregnant. Previous century ... Don't know about post Y2K Hong Kong So what did the wife (ex-wife) do to deserve the inhospitable treatment? Husband still is kind/willing to offer help to her

小时候看的是配音版，那时候的配音也很好，都很贴人物形象很有感情很专业。但是现在喜欢看原版，觉得更对味一些，台词也是演技不可分割的一部分，更容易入戏。要是字幕是汉粤双语就更好了，还方便学粤语😂
