I'd like to thank all of you for your wonderful comments on this video. My grandfather couldn't possibly have any idea that his pens would live on long after he was gone, to be appreciated by so many people. Right now, late this Easter evening, his pens are on my desk, off to the side, and I'm sitting in his chair (yes, I own his desk chair too) as I type this. The lighting in the room is low, my cassette deck is playing a tape of 1940s music at a low volume and I'm feeling a strange vibe. Very cool I'm thinking. Thanks again everyone.
I like the green one, and i would be very interested in how that feels in the finger tips while wrighting it makes clear sense to me as why he made thanks for video
I can absolutely sympathize that pens can be so dear. My grandmother gave me a certain, special pen, made from wood from the Boston Symphony floor. We had such great times there. Thank you for sharing! It's a great video!
A personal and powerful video, thank you. I favor the green pen, but only by a little. They're both quite handsome, and how your grandfather designed them and then depended on them to communicate gives them a value that can't be measured.
This is a sweet video. Family is priceless and as we unfortunately cannot have people with us forever it is wonderful to have these little touchstones to remind us of the people we have lost. Thank you and best wishes from the UK.
Those pens are beautiful and are pieces of art. I always carry a pen with me, whether it be a space pen or some form of cross or Parker. The Jade color pen is absolutely stunning.
Good god, has it been FIVE years since that box video? I subscribed to you very shortly after that video. In fact, I bought my first fountain pen shortly after subscribing. Now I have a whole drawer unit full of the things. I miss the old whispering videos. Can't believe it's been five years.
I have to repeat what others have said - that perfectly audible rain and thunder really made this video stand out for me. I've been watching your videos for a few months, I drift in and out of the channel, but this one was special. This will be in my ASMR rotation permanent. Thank you for the video!
Easily one of your finest videos. You have every one of your grandfather's words preserved in that little box. I would also speculate that the barrels are made of celluloid.
This is lovely. The pens are lovely, but the little piece of your family that you shared with us makes this video great. Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your treasure with us. Love Ceci~
You're so right. Our memories are our only true possessions. But when they tie to something so magnificent. You are truly a very lucky care taker of those works of art.
This is a very touching story. I'm glad you were humble enough to share. Those are both very beautiful pens, I like variety. My sincerest condolences to you and your grandfather. Such a powerful connection!
I like the brown one. It has dashes of gold in it! Your grandpa sounded like a very special person. Thank you for sharing! Your handwriting is awesome!
This video is absolutely amazing. You introduced me to fountain pens and have started my own collection and hearing the story of your grandfather left me speechless. Keep up the great work, I always enjoy your videos!
Thanks for sharing something so personal with us on the channel. I cannot imagine it is very easy to reveal something like this with a bunch of random people on the internet but it made for a great video. Very relaxing as always and beautiful pens as well.
This was absolutely beautiful. Boy how times change... to think your grandfather is effectively old enough to have been my great great grandfather, how different life would have been back then.
the description itself was so heartfelt that I didnt need to watch the. ideo to understand how much your grandfather meant to you. Very sweet ❤ You also have wonderful wording. I would very much like to see more of these videos.
Watched/listened to this after having a rough day yesterday and it really helped put things in perspective for me. Thank you! Sometimes the simplest things are the most beautiful.
They are beautiful pens & I can understand why they're so precious to you. The box is exquisite also. It's hard to choose but I really like the orange & black pen because it looks like stone. They're probably made of a resin. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pen collection.
I really love this video! My grandfather passed away back in March and even though he didn’t collect pens or work for a pen company this video makes me think of him, and for some reason it feels like I knew your grandfather too. He sounds like a pretty neat guy!
Treasured keepsakes and memories for certain! Thanks for sharing their existence and some of your memories with us. I recently got back into using fountain pens because I saw one that reminded me of the pens in my grandmother’s desk drawer some sixty-odd years ago. Your green one is somewhat similar to it and, for some reason, it also flashes me back to some banker’s pens kept by the teller’s desks. I now own a couple of Lamy Safari fountain pens with triangular grips that surprised me with how comfortable the triangular grips are. They also help maintain the proper positioning (rotation) of the nibs to the paper, but that wouldn’t be needed in a ball point. They aren’t for everyone, but I really like them. If forced to choose one, I’d say the green marbled-resin or plastic pen would be my favorite by a slender margin. They are both magnificent. Keep them, and their stories/memories safe! You are fortunate to have them.
Wow! What a beautiful story that came from a tragedy. It would make a fantastic movie, I think. Thank you for sharing a bit of your family history in such an artistic way.
Super cool story and background. Life is full of moments and talismans that help define who we are, and your sharing some of yours was touching. Thank you.
This was touching. Thanks for sharing these beauties and your memories. I'll admit I was worried when I saw the box. I was afraid you were doing a "full circle" goodbye video!
Your grandfather started a trend. I've seen triangular pens before so I guess the ones in you hand are the origins. And let me just say, your handwriting is absolutely beautiful. It's so relaxing to watch
love this video. It brang back wonderful memories of my pop. My pop would have a pen in his top shirt pocket too and on my 12th birthday he gave me a special pen as i was starting high school the following year. He passed away when i was 12 also. great video thank you.
Just discovering this video 3 years later. Such a beautiful story! I similarly enjoy a secretary-style desk that belonged to my grandfather, then my father. Much of the history has been forgotten beyond that, but it has been dated to around the civil war as its time of origin. It’s not worth as much financially because my grandfather broke the matching chair when he was using it as a step stool decades ago, but it’s priceless to me, and will continue to be an heirloom for my kids.
really chilled watching this. rain background too. slightly prefer the green pen. reminds me of green onyx. i have a lot of pencil sets of different shapes, but some people reckon the triangular ones are more ergonomic, and comfortable to grip. i cant say i agree or disagree tbh. nice vid
Pretty sure those pens are polished Bakelite. Did your grandfather use the green one more? It seems to have more wear on it than the brown one, which I like the best. I truly understand your feelings. I have a shaving kit that belonged to my grandpa (shaving brush, mug, and straight razor) and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Great video as usual. You are truly a treasure.
I adore Relaxing ASMR, even though I’m 14 I just adore the fact that he is soft speaking, and caring. Idk I just love it, thank you for helping me fall asleep every night, and I’m sorry for your grandfather, my brother passed away from Throat Cancer also, so I know what it’s like to Cherish something from a passed loved one. ❤️❤️
Fab video and very interesting. Loved the subtle thunder in the background. I'd love to see a video about your sound and video equipment or about your process for making and producing a video
The T-Ball (tungsten or maybe tungsten carbide) was around in the 1970s. I believe the white printing on the refill is older. Thank you for sharing your treasures.
OH, I'd forgotten how moving text could trigger my response. Those are beautiful pens. They make me think of times with my grandfather in his office. I later inherited his desk. Currently it is in my mother's living room. My father's chair is near that desk.
Hello old friend, just want to let you know I'm still here and still loving the videos! Thankyou for sharing something so very special with us :) Keep up the good work!
This video is very special because it shows the importance of your grandfather's writing utensil, which is a power instrument in communicating, taking notes, organizing your thoughts in your notebook and much more for a pen can do. It also shows how important a pen is in general.
Your grandfather's pens reminded me of something I completely forgot about until now, when I was a kid in school back in the 70's I remember how the pencils used to hurt my fingers after writing a lot and then at some point I remember seeing these triangular soft rubber sleeves in the store in a wide array of transparent colors that you could slip over the pencil which made them very comfortable to use. I wonder if they were inspired by your grandfather's design :)
Your voice and accent are so relaxing, and the soft rain sound in the background is amazing. I'd love it if you did a series of videos where you read the game of thrones book! Thanks for the channel and video, I listen to them every night
I too had throat cancer in 2003. I was not supposed to survive the 9 hour surgery, but the good Lord had other plans for me. I love your videos, they are so relaxing for me
This video reminds me of when my grandfather had old cigar boxes full of trinkets and stuff from around the world including a sleek fountain pen i belive it was a metropolitan pen
I would put those in a waterproof case, put that case inside of a fireproof safe, and never take them out. I'm extremely paranoid about sentimental items like that. Thank you for sharing.
lol. Perhaps, but I plan on using them. As a matter of fact, I used the green one when I made my next video. It'll be posted soon. Thanks for watching.
This is a fantastic video, very strong ASMR reactions from this, and it's a fantastic story to hear. I akso do know that there are some cheap click pens with a triangular shape nowadays, and pencils too, but I've never seen ones that old or that beautiful.

RelaxingASMR I find that having someone's most prised possessions always reminds you of them, making you never able to truly forget them.
I like the green one, and i would be very interested in how that feels in the finger tips while wrighting it makes clear sense to me as why he made thanks for video
You are a great man, keep this amazing work up please!

Talk about Ireplaceable
I hope whoever inherits these treats them with the same respect as you.
That will hopefully be my son, and I think he'll appreciate them.
That's a beautiful story about your grandfather, thanks for sharing.
Very nice pens. Family heirlooms are the best possessions to have.
I can absolutely sympathize that pens can be so dear. My grandmother gave me a certain, special pen, made from wood from the Boston Symphony floor. We had such great times there. Thank you for sharing! It's a great video!
Jaydoggy531 that's pretty impressive from a materialistic standpoint, let alone sentimental.
A personal and powerful video, thank you. I favor the green pen, but only by a little. They're both quite handsome, and how your grandfather designed them and then depended on them to communicate gives them a value that can't be measured.
Truly an interesting piece of history and a touching memory of your family. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

So, one may say that the ink runs in the family?
Puns aside, those pens are really cool. Such a nice treasure :D!
Micah nice
Wonderful story and Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing!!
Always brightens my day when I see a new video from my favourite asmr artist. Thank you sir.

RelaxingASMR probably one of your best vids👍🏻
Two very beautiful pens. Thank you for showing us these treasures. :)
This video is absolutely amazing. You introduced me to fountain pens and have started my own collection and hearing the story of your grandfather left me speechless. Keep up the great work, I always enjoy your videos!
Really enjoyed this one and learning some family history!
The patterning in the pens is just stunning. I love the orange one ❤️
Beautiful pens and box as well. Sentimental objects are some of the greatest treasures one can have along with actual memories themselves.
They truly are beautiful pens. Thanks for sharing.
Outstanding video and beautiful pens the story of your grandfather will live forever now!
You have also gotten me interested in collecting pens so I thank you for that
Indeed. Thanks.
If you like to write, or draw, pens are a fantastic think to collect. Enjoy!
Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks for sharing something so personal with us on the channel. I cannot imagine it is very easy to reveal something like this with a bunch of random people on the internet but it made for a great video. Very relaxing as always and beautiful pens as well.
Both pens are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!
I dont know why but your Video's are so satisfying for me and your calm voice helping me relax after a stressfull day. Thanks for your content.
Green. It reminds me of a Jade crystal.
This was absolutely beautiful. Boy how times change... to think your grandfather is effectively old enough to have been my great great grandfather, how different life would have been back then.

you're such a sentimental guy. i hope whoever inherits these from you treats them with the same wonderment and respect.
No matter how much they're worth. Its a treasure!
The orange stone on the one pen is so intricate and beautiful
They are beautiful pens & I can understand why they're so precious to you. The box is exquisite also. It's hard to choose but I really like the orange & black pen because it looks like stone. They're probably made of a resin. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pen collection.
very nice story about your grandfather, and very beautiful pens.
Thanks!

Lovley video. Such a sweet story. RIP
Wow. Thank you for such a personal video. It left me with lots to think about. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this personal treasure with us. This is a great video.
Thank you:)
So this is why you're a pen enthusiast 💖 I love the rain in the background too.
Thank you. You are correct, but it took my wife and two screwdrivers to make things click in my mind concerning pens. I'll explain in a future video:)
Your voice is so relaxing! And you've truly mastered the art of making the most basic noises so relaxing. Love, love, love this video!!! Subscribed!
Thank you for sharing with us.
Super cool story and background. Life is full of moments and talismans that help define who we are, and your sharing some of yours was touching. Thank you.
Is that why you have, so many pens? That's really cool. :)
This was touching. Thanks for sharing these beauties and your memories.
I'll admit I was worried when I saw the box. I was afraid you were doing a "full circle" goodbye video!
Probalb..definitely the most interesting asmr video I've ever watched. AND brown for me
Your grandfather started a trend.
I liked the text effect on "Grandpa's pocket"

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. Great video. I think you're a great person.

Great video as usual. You are truly a treasure.
Thank you. I can't say for sure which pen he used the most, but your theory is probably correct. The gold finish is indeed worn away on the green pen.
stunning pen s, specifically the orange one. amazing, alien looking
Great video! Both pens are beauts. I like the second pen (brown).
I find it really relaxing he does alot of his vids when it's raining
Both pens are very nice, fantastic video sir.
I adore Relaxing ASMR, even though I’m 14 I just adore the fact that he is soft speaking, and caring. Thank you for your nice comment. I'm sorry for the loss of your brother.
R.I.P the most relaxing man in the world’s grandfather ☹️
Definitely make another crossword puzzle video with those pens!!!!
Notice how this channel doesn't have ads? It's because he doesn't care about the revenue, he cares about his hobbies.
hearing that those pens are prototype made me pretty sad cause the orange one is stunning
This is probably one of the best ASMR videos just cuz how deep this goes.
Those pens are beautiful
Fab video and very interesting. Loved the subtle thunder in the background. I'd love to see a video about your sound and video equipment or about your process for making and producing a video
As to the pens, I like them both but I think the green is my favorite.
The T-Ball (tungsten or maybe tungsten carbide) was around in the 1970s. I believe the white printing on the refill is older.
Thank you for sharing your treasures.
The green one seemed to be in that awkward 1960s-1970s styling zone, but it's growing on me. The brown one, though, is absolutely gorgeous!
OH, I'd forgotten how moving text could trigger my response.
Those are beautiful pens. They make me think of times with my grandfather in his office. I later inherited his desk. Currently it is in my mother's living room. My father's chair is near that desk.
That‘s art !

Great 👍 vid keep up the great work!!
The green almost looks like jade, very nice.
Old response here... Just Going over ya old Vids! Favorite is the brown! Enjoying ya channel both old and new!

I also showed those pens to my father just now, as he's somewhat of an aficionado of pens, and he was extremely impressed by them.
Powerful video.
Wow I literally can't even find a triangular pen thats crazy 😂 I'm surprised nobody else has made one
these ASMR videos take my stress out
Same. They can put me in a trance and have helped when needed most.
Good Job!
