I now have a habit where I watch a zigzag video before I sleep, and it is the greatest time to memorise something, so I can use all the skills the next day I play
Moving is definitely the mode I like to watch most, because the detective work and 5K's are so satisfying. Your insane region guessing and meta knowledge give you a great advantage from the start even if you haven't [yet] memorized almost every place name in the world like a Jake Lyons. And if you start seriously playing moving duels, you can always put the pressure on your opponent by quickly region guessing in those rounds where the info is not readily available.
I really appreciate you and your dedication to the craft, Oscar! Plz know that you have folks out here from around the world who are happy to support you!
This channel is fast becoming one of my favourites, I learn something every time I watch. Best of luck in the upcoming tournaments! Also props for putting that cautionary note in the description.
i'm not a moving player either, but watching you play it makes it look really fun! by the way: banat is a region that's mostly in romania but also across the border in a small part of north-east serbia, in case you ever encounter more "banatsko" locations!
The A1 in macedonia is part of the E75 route : European route E 75 is part of the International E-road network, which is a series of main roads in Europe. The E 75 starts at the town of Vardø in Norway by the Barents Sea, and it runs south through Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Greece. Wikipedia
I loved this video! It's fun to watch Geoguessr pros just instinctively hitting region guesses in 3 seconds, but seeing pros have to figure things out the same way I do feels a lot more satisfying to me
GG! Banat is the name of a historical region that today lies mostly in western Romania, but stretches into Serbia and a tiny bit of Hungary. That's what all the Banatsko town names there refer to.
Really enjoyed the casual moving gameplay, feel free to keep uploading it despite it being a bit of a detour from what you usually do! Also I would suggest that once you get a bit more confident with moving and finding info you try to play Moving duels on your main to see how your training is paying off. Good luck!
In the Serbia round you were right about that being a Romanian orthodox church - it was written in romanian too, i'm assuming that's because there must be a significant romanian population there? Also, 'Banat' is a region in Romania too (and i'm guessing in serbia as well?) which is another clue (and also 'Satu Nou' just literally means new village in romanian hahah)
What about a series letting 3 experts of a country battle it out in that country while you record their perspective to see their thinking process it will be fun and educational for everyone even pros
There was a big clue that could have helped you get the Sask round a little quicker. Us Western Canadians always refer to highway 16 as "the Yellowhead". There was Yellowhead written on the Sheho sign. Also should be known that Yellowhead spans through BC, AB, and Sask.
The northern part of Serbia is divided into three parts: Srem, Banat, and Bačka. Banat borders Romania, which is why the church was Romanian. Banatsko Novo Selo(Banat's New Village) is obviously in Banat. Srem is situated in the western part of Vojvodina and borders Croatia, Bačka is situated in the northeastern part. Lots of places have Srem, Banat and Bačka in their names so it might help in the future. Congrats on 25k!
For the first time in years, I recently decided to 25k on ACW and had a 1 hour 26 minute time on a fairly difficult seed (one India, one Finland, two US, and an easy Austria). It’s definitely not easy!
yo zigzag u should watch some jake lyons duels videos if you find the time, just that alone turned me from completely useless to fairly competent at moving
As a person who has previously criticised Oscar for using the term "Czechoslovakia" (wtf really), I have endless respect for the correct pronunciation of Slavic consonants in this video.
You murdered that seed, considering moving is not your natural game style. I suspect you can get a sub 10 min with a favorable enough seed in the next few months. I really need to get back to trying those someday. Havent gone for a 25K try on a map in several months.
Do you ever play the Explorer Mode? It's the one where you need to get 25000 in each country. Back when I started playing it was my main source of practice. I know you don't need practice for general location, but it's good for 25K's, since you know the country already.
moving arc has started, soon oscar will be too powerful to contain
I now have a habit where I watch a zigzag video before I sleep, and it is the greatest time to memorise something, so I can use all the skills the next day I play
this guys knows how to do it
I did this for a month straight and noticed my ELO went up even if I went a week without playing.
wait, what? LOL@@jamestonis563
I do this before bed aswell🤩
@@jamestonis563I feel like Rainbolt’s daily geoguessr series has made me a much better player

Thank you for making this video
Congrats on 70k! 🐐
Thank you for making the content you do, I prefer watching the more humble and less ego-driven guessers a lot more, and you're one of the best.

Yes can confirm, Banat is a region in Serbia too, and Novo Selo also means new village.
Well played! Really interesting, enjoyed this a lot.
When oscar plays moving, you know it's serious 🔥
Well done! And congrats on 70k🎉

I feel you with the Finland choke, i was doing 16 min before i got the right angle on norway with my 25k run....
Love how he randomly pressed the correct town on the Slovenian level
Just saw you on ABC news! That was some great promo for the game, nice!
Let’s go!! The legend is finally moving!! ❤
For the first time in years, I recently decided to 25k on ACW and had a 1 hour 26 minute time on a fairly difficult seed (one India, one Finland, two US, and an easy Austria). It’s definitely not easy!
Speedruns incoming - Congrats on 70k mate!
Your quickest round would’ve had me at my computer for hours. Insane knowledge
You should definitely learn Brazil phone area codes.
congrats for your appearence on TV ahaha
Love how you’re training! Did you have fun?
Yo, great IV on ABC News! (That YT somehow sent into my feed, though Aussie news is not part of my usual digest) 😅
You know it's a good day when Oscar uploads!
My best time on this style is like 26 minutes. I love 25ks. Good job getting to 70k. I think you will make it to 100k very quickly.
More moving videos pleaseeeee
yo zigzag u should watch some jake lyons duels videos if you find the time, just that alone turned me from completely useless to fairly competent at moving
at the end actually really nice time, you can definitely get good at this
Pop off Zigzag! Hope you're the first to get to 20 points in those Rainbolt daily's.
this video with the editing and Oscar's moving skills is like watching a kid get lost in the supermarket
Yes Oscar, embrace the moving game! 😁
Congratulations! I actually clapped when you hit the 25k! hahaha
Wtf zi8gzag zizek reference so based
Serbia mentioned🗿🔥
good stuff bro
Congrats GOAT!!!
Zig has unintentionally made me a nmpz player. 🤣
HOWWWWWW! Perfect timing for an awesome video right after 2 hours of homework
🔥🔥🔥
As a person who has previously criticised Oscar for using the term "Czechoslovakia" (wtf really), I have endless respect for the correct pronunciation of Slavic consonants in this video.
Did you guys see he was on national news. ABC Australia your the goat
As a moving player this is scary to watch.. give it a few months and you might be unstoppable, cracked at moving and nm!
Thanks once again to Zig8Zag for filling us up with that special sauce!
Just watched you on the news, thinking I was clicking on today’s vid.🎉🎉
any plans to learn more moving-oriented subdivisions? Such as Kenya counties or Nigeria states (or even non-latin and non-cyrillic ones)?
definitely
Nice, that's some proper detective work GeoWizard would be proud of 👌
Oscar casually topping the Rainbolt dailies without a mention of it on his channel.
Note that Banatsko Novo Selo was also named "Satu Nou", definitely in Romanian.
Love 25k videos!
random question but does anyone know how old he is? I always wonder because he’s insanely good :)
I believe Oscar is 23 :)
indeed 23
who else whatches these everyday after school?
Lets go Moving!
finding sheho, a town of 100 people, would not be easy for canadians either LOL
Tom definitely aproves
I don't know how the map will work for the up coming WC, but I think it would be more effective if you use the WC map for the last time.
congrats 😊😊
Being from Saskatchewan I also had no idea where that town was from😅 you did better then I did
maybe u should try to learn some countries subdivisions, and it will help you with moving a lot
you are my habibi
you should try to complete explorer mode, at least the ones you can read!
DRAAINN GANGGG
LETS GO OSCAR
we love some raw, amazing gameplay
hardly amazing, but thank you :D
@@zi8gzag being able to play at your level is nothing short of amazing haha :D

i don’t because the maps kinda suck 😭
omg good job!
I don't feel so bad having to move around 30 minutes to find exactly where I am.
How do you select the arrow to move and spam it really fast i tried it but I don’t know how i can select it properly
7:10
If ur on a mac u may not be able to. Otherwise, hold in left click when clicking on the arrow and then hold spacebar.
