I knew France would win again but I thought Armenia would have the highest points from the televote I didn't expect France to have the highest in both

That’s was a nice sentiment when you said, about Ireland, that it was the best last place song that the contest ever had. Looking on the bright side of things is good. We need to collaborate with each other to make sure Ireland wins next year

i completely agree with your reaction to ireland being last! i teared up when sophie lennon started singing with her, it’s such a gorgeous song. the top 5 is absolutely deserved and the strongest songs of the show tho. ukraine was my winner but i didn’t expect them to be that high! i’m curious if france wants to host next year with the olympics going on too, so maybe spain will host after all?
Spain isn't hosting without winning. RTVE has said it multiple times. We don't want to pay in behalf of France. They did everything they could to win, including that suspicious R.O. Now they have to deal with the consequences and host it even if they don't have enough budget

Love your reactions! An interesting point I would make is that since the introduction of self voting these have been the winners:
2018: Poland
2019: Poland
2020: France
2021: Armenia
2022: France
2023: France
And its interesting that Poland, France, Armenia and Spain all have the highest viewership each year. I think the selfvoting rule should be abolished as it massively hurts smaller countries such as Ireland, Macedonia & Malta who have viewerships of under 100k whereas France and Poland have viewerships of above 3 million, but I dont really see them doing it anytime soon.
Spain doesn't have a high viewership anymore. Even Italy has a lot more and they are always bottom at the televote. So big countries ≠ high televote. Spain flopped hard in online voting in 2021, while North Macedonia/Georgia/Ukraine/Malta/Albania all did better that year. Poland flopped in 2020. Ireland last year did exactly as the UK this year. The problem is not the voting system, it is that only the big countries take seriously JESC consistently, year after a year. If there's a year they don't (like Spain in 2021), they tank. When a small country sends winner material, they get rewarded (Ireland last year, Georgia both in 2021 & 2022, North Macedonia in 2019, Malta in 2018). Maybe smaller countries should try harder cause their level is usually really low. Armenia is not a big country and they came from a period of mid results to smash it again and be at the top
Self voting got introduced together with the online vote in 2017. The Netherlands won that year.

ahhh i always love your reaction to the results... makes me excited about them once again even tho i already know what'll happen 🤭I'm so proud of FIA and our 4th place in the online voting! I was a bit disappointed as I thought we might get more support from the juries but the overall result is still amazing, especially looking at the strength of the lineup this year! I hope Estonia isn't already leaving the competition bc of their bad result. No one should've finished last tbh 😭

Imo Georgia had the best overall performance and voices…so disappointed that it didn‘t get at least high jury points! I knew that this song is not so child-friendly because it is a heavy powerballad!
14:01 Talking about choreography, I think there's room for improvement when it comes to our entries. Still, Fia did amazing today. I mean: A top 10 finish and 4th in the televote - we can be (and are) extremely proud! 🙌🏼🇩🇪 The real question for me is what else Spain has to do to finally get their second win. Since their comeback in 2019, they've been serving us with a potential winner; year after year.
Sorry my opinion…the vocals of fia were the weakenst of all…missing notes, too nervous, sometimes too whispery…i love the song but it wasn‘t best performance tonight…

I also wanted Spain to win, they have been showing up in JESC and ESC as well, they need to get their flowers.

I said from the start of the rehearsals that France was gonna win and Spain would battle for the trophy with Zoe. I was expecting Netherlands higher in 5th place but 7th okay and top 5 with the televote that's great

The staging with the dragon and the messy camera work wasn't good.
@@Thunderworks counterpoint, the dragon helped bring energy to the stage and helps fill the stage as well as relating to their inspiration. And the camerawork at the end wasn't the best but kept up with the energy of the ending dancebreak which made it bearable even good
I think something weird about televotes cause on yt Sandra's songs has morr views than the cloe's ones

Remember it’s not a country contest but song contest. If France send good songs and staging every year so France desserves to win. If any country as poland in 2018-2019 send good songs many years it will win. France won both jury and televote. Be fair and accept it. I’m sure that spain will win and host soon as they send excellent songs each year. Bravo la France for this year and Go on spain soon it s your Turn.

My sister and I have been huge lovers of French culture since we were born. We both speak French and love the same artists and movies (most non-francophonic people don't even know those) but we were mad they won on their home turf. It's kind of tacky. The joke is on us though. My niece is a HUGE FAN of Zoe's song. She is barely two and loves that song so much that my sister and I have to endure it several times a day 😆🤣 When she says "ay ay" we know it's Zoe time 🙈

I feel like North Macedonia deserves the spot they got from that performance. Macedonian delegation constantly fumbles when it comes to staging and this is no different. It's such a shame though that a song this great was let down by poor stagnant staging :(

Right part of the scoreboard are ballads and top 5 are fast songs. That’s weird. However Poland got the best result from the ballads, and that suprised me. I was expecting us to finish 7-10 place, but the performance was great.
France made the show, made Zoe best staging (using lights that weren’t able for other countries), voted for right countries to overtake them, and spoke to much in french which was ridiculous. I hope other country will host next year, I am tired of this language.
1) Each national delegation is free to use what they want for their staging, I even saw a giant dragon...
2) French jury give 12 points to Spain, its main rival this year.
3) French and English are the two official languages of ESC.

May be one day only you will choose the winner in Sammreecey1177 song contest. Until this crazy day, Zoé is and will stay the winner of the 21st Jesc For me Zoé is a great winner as Sandra is an excellent contender.
