The only season Trout missed most of was 2021 and last year he played half with 82 games. Not to mention the accolades they both got within these 6 years. You cannot tell me that they couldn’t have had at least ONE winning season out of all these lol
Swinging a bat doesn't put the same strain on the elbow that throwing does. That's why both Ohtani and Harper were able to continue batting with torn UCLs and why both Ohtani and Harper are able bat sooner after Tommy John surgery than pitchers can throw after TJ.

I'm an Ohtani fan more than an Angels fan, though I rooted for the Angels for many years. They were largely wasting his talent on a team with no postseason prospects. But at least he achieved a lot and seemed to enjoy his teammates there, showing for the last few years what he could do as an historic two-way player putting up incredible numbers.
