I saw this movie for the first time 2 months ago, which was the first time I ever heard of Jonathan Rhys Meyers. It spoke beyond the screen. I had no idea what jewel of an actor he is. Very strong communicator, his works are fantastic.
Love his explanation of the character. He is so intelligent in the way he approaches a movie and so passionate in his work. Brilliant actor and extremely handsome man

It's not just a matter of "looking more gentile" it's a total energy and character which is not Israeli, which is the point of reading a 300 page book to get the feel of a character even though the scenes won't make it to the film. He was good, though.
