Well following anime season to season can be tiring to cover due to the effort of watching most of them and also this amount of time and work you have to invest gates creators to talk about great anime from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's which are really good. There was a time were anitube was literally just simulcast anime and it is tiring, most of the anime are bad or mediocre and the amount is just ridiculous.
to be fair to the others, keeping up with anime has been getting more and more exhausting. I don't even watch that much anime anymore for the same reasons tbh. Watched cyberpunk and arcane, and that was it. Maybe I'm just getting tired of japan (i live there) lol

Fun fact when you mentioned life or death with blue lock. The author wrote kamisama no iutoori. A death game series that imo was really good. So he made a sports anime through the lens of a death game formula. Without the death. Really well structured
I like Gigguk's comedy pacing. He doesn't try to make himself appear as a genius by intentionally giving us time to think about each joke. Vid just flies from one joke to another, and most of the time it's up to us to pause and appreciate each one however long we wish to.

My Boy Garnt might be the only other person I see constantly Repping Re:Creators, Really Solid and unique Anime, although I have to admit, it hit me at a especially vulnerable time in my life too. But one thing that doesn't get enough appreciation, is the part of the Anime where they Learn the Rules and start looking for loopholes to use against the enemy.
Bocchi The Rock had a Bocchi moment with all the other popular extrovert anime this season. (It even got cut out from the stream highlights, F) Also Akiba Maid War is an absolute chad for not giving away the plot/genre in the marketing and even blurs spoilers in the OP lmao. (Unfortunately a Kurosai edit spoilt what was gonna go down in the first episode)
Funny that the one that got even cut from the edit became the best dark horse of the season, to the point that the CSM director would block every Bocchi pfp he sees on Twitter.
The issue with the anime industry getting bigger and better is that even the trash* of the season (I use the term endearingly when compared to the most anticipated big names) is starting to look good and is worth a watch. Props to Gigguk for actually keeping up with the seasonal shows. I barely have the time anymore

@@ade1174 i've read that Advent of the Red Comet cut a lot of content from the original OVAs to fit it into 12 tv episodes, so its better to watch original 6 1hour OVAs for full experience.

Ever since the trailer, I have been awaiting this day, this is the one series to me that beats out slime and spider for manga, 2nd only to OPM of my top mangas. 3 episodes in, this series has clean animation, so far zero drop in quality and has the perfect balance of sword dad, Fran being cute to gory bloodfest battles.
Vesper talked about Yama no Susume (Encouragement of Climb) a few days ago and that the first season is one of his anime favourites. It's basically Yuru Camp but hiking, and it's sort of bittersweet from what I picked up. Will watch for sure
I think what threw most people off of the first 3 seasons was the fact that the episodes were around 10-15 minutes long compared to the normal 24 minutes.
I binged the original Urusei Yatsura back in February and fell in love with it pretty hard so the remake top of my list of shows I'm hyped for this season. As a fan of Rumiko Takahashi's work, Urusei Yatsura was her best.
The prologue is mark as ep0 I think he will watch it since he said he want to get all of the detail of the show. But he was busy about trash taste tour recently so I guess he will pick up the show after the tour.

I watched the spy x family episode and it looked amazing, I later watched my hero academia season 6 episode one and they started strong, which I love.. Right now I'm just waiting for chainsaw man and Bleach.

Blue lock is phenomenal. It's definitely something you'd be interested in. And it actually takes more influence from reality than most other sports shows, despite being ridiculously. There's compelling characters, story, and it's somehow impossible to predict what will happen next. The games are that good. Basically- If you want baki or jojo's mixed with a sports series, read this manga.

Witch from mercury is so good already. It gives you just enough Gundam tropes and just enough innovation and plot twists that you hit play and it just slaps so hard.

Watch iruma! Season 1 is a bit filler, but it's got great characters and Season 2 is a definite improvement. Season 3 is going to be crazy good. I am so hyped to see it animated.
Yeah I agree, iruma in season 1 starts off slow but it's just him getting used to the demon world while season 2 is the introduction of the misfits class.
SO hype for The Witch from Mercury! Definitely a must-watch. And while it is a fresh AU requiring no prior knowledge of Gundam, there was an episode 0 prologue posted on the Gundam youtube channel already. And it was INCREDIBLE.
Bocchi the rock was really disappointing. I gave it the three episode treatment and dropped it. For a music anime the music either sucked or was just skipped. It's just a worse Komi can't communicate.
@@joesoq Yeah Komi lost it's appeal pretty quick, got to episode 5 before the rinse repeat episodes got too annoying. Bocchi falls off even faster, got to episode 3. It just talks about how she's a great musician but they don't ever actually play any songs, it legit just skips over the songs and is super anticlimactic:/

Iruma kun season 3 is where this show start to pop off. Trust me guys after season 3 you all will be begging for season 4. After seeing the cover with iruma welding the bow it got me hype for season 3. My only concern with season 3 is that the animation is not good enough to compliment it. I truly think this is an underrated show. If I'm not wrong I think this is when this show start to peak am I'm right or am I'm wrong, where's my manga reader at when you need them.

I think with Akiba Maid War the only thing people see any potential in it is PA works, but as a huge Uma Musume fan (S2 was incredible but barely anyone knows about it) and Princess Connect which has SFX on par with Fire Force, I am much more excited about CyGames being involved than just PA works.. CyGames don't get enough praise for their amazing adaptations & anime originals!
Problem with the first season of Muv-Luv was it felt disjointed. The characters were like they were just there. I did enjoy the awesome fights in the last 3 episodes.
I actually really hope the sword one is good. That would be such a fun RPG to play if you got to play as the famous cursed sword trope that talks to the wielder and suggests it's actions.
The eminence in shadow should be a lot of fun! Taming the Final Boss is actually quite good! Beast Tamer is not that bad, its actually quite solid ... thought I only read the first manga volume. haha

Moreover, UtaPri is an otome game, but it's not like straight dudes would care about distinguishing anyway. @@kaixiaxia Yeah, I won't pretend like I didn't have my own prejudice against idol anime, amplified by the fact that it's not usually the genre I go for anyway (idols aren't really my thing in real life, let alone t.v. shows), but Idolish7 made me rethink that. A great anime is a great anime, regardless of genre. The character writing in that series runs circles around many a shounen anime and I'm very thankful I gave it a chance. A similar thing happened to me with sports anime (Haikyuu!!). Idolish7 just happens to be in a more niche genre and targeted toward women, so it unfortunately and unfairly gets ridiculed on that basis alone.
As a mecha fans let me give you some recomendations G Gundam (drgonball in mechs), Gundam X (swag master pilots mech in anime fallout), The Origin (prequel to the orignal show and a great entry point to the main gundam universe), and Iorn Blooded Orphans (Lord of the Flies Martian child solders edition)
Note: The prologue (episode 0?) of that new Gundam anime is officially available for free on UA-cam (coz it's also an ad for Gunpla lol) I didn't know anything about the original Urusei Yatsura story but I've been seeing the occasional fanart of Lum for like 20 years lol, and looks like it's about to ramp up again in the pool of trendy waifus for fanarts. That summit climbing anime's beautiful backgrounds remind me of Made in Abyss.
20k hand drawn frames at 20 minutes would be around 17 frames a second so it would mean the whole episode is completely animated on twos without any held frames.
Or there may be several shots animated on ones. Or it could be a double episode? Either way, we're probably looking at one of the best episodes of the series.

I watched the first episode and it's so stupidly insane. It's like Misfit of the Demon King Academy levels of absurdity! It's so over the top, the trailer doesn't do it justice. I mean the dude does something so unbelievable so outrages, your just left shocked for the rest of the episode. I think this anime is worth 1 episode at least, just for that moment alone.
I'm probably gonna enjoy blue lock for the edgy over the top action, but if you appreciate the more grounded football content, try to catch up with ao ashi, the manga in particular is great and its latest arcs have been very hype (the shounen manga sort of hype) while still being pretty grounded in how it shows mc's progress in his football career
Watch Air Gear its rollerblading races an Shonen battles it gets dark mostly in the manga where the skates kill people an the OST is done by Jet Set Radio crew

Exia is from the 2008 anime Gundam 00 (a "spinoff" show set in an alternate timeline), which is a completely independent show from Witch from Mercury airing this season so you dont need to watch one to get context for the other. I highly encourage you to give both shows a shot!

I've literally been reading Eminence In The Shadow for over 3 years now, and it was one of my first ever manga. I can 100% tell anyone looking for an isekai, it quite literally is the best fit of the season. And when people say it's Konosuba levels of comedy, it genuinely is. So much out of pocket shit that makes complete and no-sense whatsoever but it's consistently always a blast to read. I'm genuinely so hyped for this anime and really, really hope Nexus (a studio that aided in most eps of Re:Zero S1 and some other animes that turned out quite mid) doesn't screw it up.

Don't Cry Maou-chan - The heroes are way too strong and the demon lord is just a scared girl. Great comedy. Save & Load no Dekiru Yadoya-san - An isekaied hero is retired and opens an inn where you can quickly get stronger. How? By using his save and load ability, and a training regime that kills you several times over. Soul Land 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 - This is all one massive series with about 1500 chapters or so total, all still ongoing. It's again focused around the cultivation stuff, but also a good read if you don't understand much of it. I do recommend starting with Soul Land 1 first as concepts and characters are sometimes reintroduced in later installments in the series. Nageki no Bourei wa Intai Shitai - Saijiyaku Hanta ni Yoru Saikiyou Patei Ikusei Jutsu - MC is leader of one of the most prestigious guilds in the country. His strategy? Fake it 'till you make it. My Engagement With The Prince Was Cancelled So I Will Stop Pretending To Be a Fool - The prince asked her to pretend to be dumb because she was smarter than him lol Sekai de Tadahitori no Mamono Tsukai - Hero doesn't want to be a hero, changes his job to Monster Tamer instead. I'm the guild receptionist, but since I don't want to work overtime, I think I'll just solo the boss - Just read the title, that's all you need to know. A Heroic Tale About Starting With a Personal Relations Cheat(Ability) and Letting Others Do the Job - As much as it sounds like an isekai, it's not. This guy is only good at knowing the right people, but that means the author can do some great world building. May I Ask for One Final Thing? - After being accused of being a villainess, she beats the shit out of everyone in the room. Shikkaku Mon no Saikyou Kenja - Sekai Saikyou no Kenja ga Sara ni Tsuyokunaru Tame ni Tensei Shimashita - This one already has an anime adaptation and is kinda mid, but I'm including it here because of the next entry. Senmetsumadou no Saikyou Kenja: Musai no Kenja, Madou wo Kiwame Saikyou e Itaru - The prequel to the previous one, which explores his life before reincarnation, magic on a much grander scale and this concept called transcendental magic. I Became a Legend a Decade Later After Telling My Comrades to Leave Everything to Me and Retreat First - Basically he was ready to sacrifice himself to let his friends escape, but he ends up surviving after fighting for 10 years. Zense wa Kentei. Konjou Kuzu Ouji - Not sure how to really explain this one, but it's good. Ryuu to Yuusha to Haitatsunin - Story about a half-elf working at a post office in a fantasy world where government workers are a thing The Reincarnation Magician of the Inferior Eyes - Again a fairly generic one, but similar to the other one, it works great if you also read the prequel. The Reincarnation Magician of the Inferior Eyes: The Legend of the Orphan who became the Strongest Warrior in the World - prequel to the previous one. Skill Lender's Retrieving - MC can lend skills to others, but there's a 10% compound interest rate. Jigoku no Gouka de Yaka re Tsuzuketa Shounen. Saikyou no Honou Tsukai to Natte Fukkatsu Suru. - Sent off as sacrifice to the flames of hell, he kinda just doesn't die and destroys the flames. He then comes back into the world 1000 years later wielding those same flames. The Villainess Turns the Hourglass - Genuinely one of the best takes on villainess stories. The Demon King Who Lost His Job - Just good fantasy Hero? I Quit a Long Time Ago - Think one punch man, but way better. Loads of memorable characters, villains, and no ever-expanding power curves. It also has an animated adaptation (Hero Return, Yingxiong Zai Lin), but it only really adapts the introduction arc. Still a banger though. Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu - Reading this felt like reading a story that hasn't been tainted by the power fantasy or isekai genres, and is just nice and refreshing. Souzou Renkinjutsushi wa Jiyuu wo Ouka suru: Kokyou wo Tsuihou saretara, Maou no Ohizamoto de Chouzetsu Kouka no Magic Item Tsukuri-houdai ni Narimashita - In a nation where battle prowess means everything, this alchemist is useless. So he's sent to the demons as sacrifice, except the demons accept him as a guest. Kenshi wo Mezashite Nyuugaku shita no ni Mahou Tekisei 9999 nan desu kedo!? - She has magic power of 9999 but wants to be a swordswoman instead. Maou no Ore ga Dorei Elf wo Yome ni Shitanda ga, Dou Medereba ii? - Evil mage falls in love with an elf and also there's a neat magic system i guess The Real Daughter Is Back - After a noble loses her daughter, an illegitimate child who looks just like her needs to take her place and gets punished constantly. Dorei Tensei: Sono Dorei, Saikyou no Moto Ouji ni Tsuki - As the sick prince of a country who loves magic, he casts reincarnation magic on himself. He reincarnates into someone born that exact moment, except history isn't as he remembers it. Cheat Skill "Shisha Sosei" ga Kakusei Shite, Inishie no Maougun wo Fukkatsu Sasete Shimaimashita - After being sent to die, he revives himself and then the demon lord because he's got nowhere else to go. Story of an "Unemployed" Champion and a Princess Who Together Find Their Happiness - He has no job, but he's great at copying others' fighting styles. Tales of Demons And Gods - Another cultivation-related story, but damn the author's got a lot of ideas and practically never runs out of fresh concepts that keep the story entertaining.

Well following anime season to season can be tiring to cover due to the effort of watching most of them and also this amount of time and work you have to invest gates creators to talk about great anime from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's which are really good. There was a time were anitube was literally just simulcast anime and it is tiring, most of the anime are bad or mediocre and the amount is just ridiculous.
A lot of the under 1 Million anime youtubers are still pretty consistent, the one I watch most often is Chibi Reviews.

The issue with the anime industry getting bigger and better is that even the trash* of the season (I use the term endearingly when compared to the most anticipated big names) is starting to look good and is worth a watch. Ever since the trailer, I have been awaiting this day, this is the one series to me that beats out slime and spider for manga, 2nd only to OPM of my top mangas. 3 episodes in, this series has clean animation, so far zero drop in quality and has the perfect balance of sword dad, Fran being cute to gory bloodfest battles.

Vesper talked about Yama no Susume (Encouragement of Climb) a few days ago and that the first season is one of his anime favourites. It's basically Yuru Camp but hiking, and it's sort of bittersweet from what I picked up. Will watch for sure
Yama no Susume came out 5 years before Yuru Camp, so it is the other way around.
I think what threw most people off of the first 3 seasons was the fact that the episodes were around 10-15 minutes long compared to the normal 24 minutes.

Blue lock is phenomenal. It's definitely something you'd be interested in. And it actually takes more influence from reality than most other sports shows, despite being ridiculously. There's compelling characters, story, and it's somehow impossible to predict what will happen next. The games are that good.

Bocchi the rock was really disappointing. I gave it the three episode treatment and dropped it. For a music anime the music either sucked or was just skipped. It's just a worse Komi can't communicate.

Iruma kun season 3 is where this show start to pop off. Trust me guys after season 3 you all will be begging for season 4. After seeing the cover with iruma welding the bow it got me hype for season 3. My only concern with season 3 is that the animation is not good enough to compliment it. I truly think this is an underrated show. If I'm not wrong I think this is when this show start to peak am I'm right or am I'm wrong, where's my manga reader at when you need them.

28th Nov - I watched Housing Complex C yesterday thanks to your video, it was pretty good.
I think with Akiba Maid War the only thing people see any potential in it is PA works, but as a huge Uma Musume fan (S2 was incredible but barely anyone knows about it) and Princess Connect which has SFX on par with Fire Force, I am much more excited about CyGames being involved than just PA works.. CyGames don't get enough praise for their amazing adaptations & anime originals!
Uma Musume S1 was a decent, fairly generic sports anime, S2 was where they really stepped it up

Problem with the first season of Muv-Luv was it felt disjointed. The characters were like they were just there. I did enjoy the awesome fights in the last 3 episodes.

I don't even know what I expected when I clicked in. Moreover, UtaPri is an otome game, but it's not like straight dudes would care about distinguishing anyway.
And i believe that most male anime youtubers DO like love live and zombieland saga? so in the end it's probably sexism because female idols are acceptable and can be given a shot but male idols are shallow and don't deserve a chance.

You want good Idol anime then Shine Post is where its at. Had the best animation out of any series I've watched all year. Plus he didn't even mention Bocchi the Rock or Uzaki-chan. That's like committing a war crime, lol
@@kaixiaxia Yeah, I won't pretend like I didn't have my own prejudice against idol anime, amplified by the fact that it's not usually the genre I go for anyway (idols aren't really my thing in real life, let alone t.v. shows), but Idolish7 made me rethink that. A great anime is a great anime, regardless of genre. The character writing in that series runs circles around many a shounen anime and I'm very thankful I gave it a chance.
A similar thing happened to me with sports anime (Haikyuu!!). Idolish7 just happens to be in a more niche genre and targeted toward women, so it unfortunately and unfairly gets ridiculed on that basis alone.

Watch Air Gear its rollerblading races an Shonen battles it gets dark mostly in the manga where the skates kill people an the OST is done by Jet Set Radio crew

Exia is from the 2008 anime Gundam 00 (a "spinoff" show set in an alternate timeline), which is a completely independent show from Witch from Mercury airing this season so you dont need to watch one to get context for the other. I highly encourage you to give both shows a shot!

I've literally been reading Eminence In The Shadow for over 3 years now, and it was one of my first ever manga. I can 100% tell anyone looking for an isekai, it quite literally is the best fit of the season. And when people say it's Konosuba levels of comedy, it genuinely is. So much out of pocket shit that makes complete and no-sense whatsoever but it's consistently always a blast to read. I'm genuinely so hyped for this anime and really, really hope Nexus (a studio that aided in most eps of Re:Zero S1 and some other animes that turned out quite mid) doesn't screw it up.

I feel ashamed for already having read the manga for every Isekai/Fantasy that's aired this year and is known to get an adaptation next year. My library's got 250+ Isekai and 200+ Fantasy manga all caught up to the latest chapters and I can differentiate all of them despite there being only like 30-40 different tropes in total.

Magus of the Library - I cannot stress enough how good this one is, go read it, I promise it's good. An interesting fantasy world where books and knowledge are among the most important objects.
Retired Heroes - They're retired heroes and still sometimes do hero work
Oretachi no Party wa Machigatteiru - After the demon lord gets defeated, he puts funny curses on the heroes who defeat him
A Simple Task of Providing Support from the Shadows to Defeat the Demon Lord - The hero is incompetent so the temple orders him to help in secret
The Worst Princes' Battle Over Giving up the Imperial Throne - None of the princes want to be king. One of them needs to be king.

Save & Load no Dekiru Yadoya-san - An isekaied hero is retired and opens an inn where you can quickly get stronger. How? By using his save and load ability, and a training regime that kills you several times over.
Soul Land 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 - This is all one massive series with about 1500 chapters or so total, all still ongoing. It's again focused around the cultivation stuff, but also a good read if you don't understand much of it. I do recommend starting with Soul Land 1 first as concepts and characters are sometimes reintroduced in later installments in the series.
Nageki no Bourei wa Intai Shitai - Saijiyaku Hanta ni Yoru Saikiyou Patei Ikusei Jutsu - MC is leader of one of the most prestigious guilds in the country. His strategy? Fake it 'till you make it.
My Engagement With The Prince Was Cancelled So I Will Stop Pretending To Be a Fool - The prince asked her to pretend to be dumb because she was smarter than him lol

Shikkaku Mon no Saikyou Kenja - Sekai Saikyou no Kenja ga Sara ni Tsuyokunaru Tame ni Tensei Shimashita - This one already has an anime adaptation and is kinda mid, but I'm including it here because of the next entry.
Senmetsumadou no Saikyou Kenja: Musai no Kenja, Madou wo Kiwame Saikyou e Itaru - The prequel to the previous one, which explores his life before reincarnation, magic on a much grander scale and this concept called transcendental magic.
I Became a Legend a Decade Later After Telling My Comrades to Leave Everything to Me and Retreat First - Basically he was ready to sacrifice himself to let his friends escape, but he ends up surviving after fighting for 10 years.

Hero? I Quit a Long Time Ago - Think one punch man, but way better. Loads of memorable characters, villains, and no ever-expanding power curves. It also has an animated adaptation (Hero Return, Yingxiong Zai Lin), but it only really adapts the introduction arc. Still a banger though.
Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu - Reading this felt like reading a story that hasn't been tainted by the power fantasy or isekai genres, and is just nice and refreshing.

Cheat Skill "Shisha Sosei" ga Kakusei Shite, Inishie no Maougun wo Fukkatsu Sasete Shimaimashita - After being sent to die, he revives himself and then the demon lord because he's got nowhere else to go.
Story of an "Unemployed" Champion and a Princess Who Together Find Their Happiness - He has no job, but he's great at copying others' fighting styles.
Tales of Demons And Gods - Another cultivation-related story, but damn the author's got a lot of ideas and practically never runs out of fresh concepts that keep the story entertaining.
