@@stringdoctor6238 I really liked it actually. Way better than it felt with the factory string job (being 305 1.20mm at a very high tension - I’m guessing 28-30). My usual weapon is a Harrow Vapor Ultralite with XOne BiPhase 1.18 at 23lbs; so the curv is a bit different but a very likable alternative. I’m going to keep playing it a while. 👍
From a fairly novice stringer, many thanks - lots of great insights in this video for me. If I could make one small suggestion, it was a little difficult to hear you in patches so maybe a mic set up could help with that? I recently had to do a fan string pattern (on a Stellar Aggressor) and I found it a bit challenging. Do you have any tutorials to help with these generally?
I used to have a Suprem CurV 125 before going back to Carboflex, good racquet. So you did the whole thing at 25lbs? Is the creaking noise when you pull tension coming from the strings? I noticed it don't do it every time, but I did catch it a handful of times. Also, do you use the prestretch function when stringing? If so, 10%? 15%?
Hi there, didn't notice the creaking to be totally honest but will listen out. Most likely the string! Yes 25 all over. Unless asked, I generally don't prestretch (aside from with natural gut - 10% unless otherwise requested). Very little need to prestretch multi's on a constant pull electronic machine and most quality strings have been prestretched in the manufacturing process these days. Might be advisable on a crank machine as they don't pull 'true tension' on the string, they just lockout on the machines crank, whereas a constant pull will pull until the string has reached tension 👍
Hi there, the frame weight is around 125 grms and fully strung, with grip, bumper etc it's about 155 grms. There's always a little bit of difference with all rackets though.
A therapeutic start to my day watching this, drinking my breakfast Earl grey, and listening to your insights! Thx as always.
Glad you like it. Enjoy the tea ☕️
Excellent video - you inspired me to restring curv125 with 305 1.10 using your exact same technique 👍
Great to hear. Interesting to see what you think with this setup

Hi Brendan, many thanks and apologies for any poor sound quality. Any questions, give me a shout 👍

RIght on! Cheers mate!
What is the weight of the racket
