This is the song that inspired me through a year of being homeless, I dance to this song in my car like I was KING! Thank you Mereba for making this beautiful song that brought me hope and joy in my hardest time.
I saw her in concert this past summer and she played this song. She explained that it was about her late father. I got to meet her and she is both humble and beautiful. Her concert was magnetic and made me appreciate her even more.
Mereba is a breath of fresh air. All of her music is so beautifully produced and her vocals give me chills. Such an incredible talent... Also, she is insanely beautiful.
I was crying, driving down the road, listening to this song, wishing there was something greater out there that could help and care, then this lyrics played: "And I've said "World would you please shine a light up on me? Or would you show me a sign you love me?" The sun peaked out of the clouds at that moment and warmed my face. I don't believe in a god, but it felt like all the beautiful moments in life are a loving gift, you just gotta pay attention.
bxatch no need to believe in god just believe in your innate ability to create joy and love wherever your at no matter what the circumstances. We love you.
Just passing by to cry under one of my favourite Mereba songs, after finding out that she's coming to South Africa in May, but I won't be able to see her, because I don't live in Cape town or Joburg 👍🏾😔😭.
"I'm not sorry...stay sick cause I follow my gut.." what a hook and I'm now knocked tf out. Mereba is a gift to the world and I'm glad I got to see that before the world sees it too. The Jungle Is The Only Way Out is a masterpiece btw, I'm also ecstatic that the MVs and visuals are praiseworthy too. I stan.
Damn just listened to this song driving at night, windows down with a fresh cool breeze. The moon was bright and the sky was clear..with the color of dark purple and blue. This song made it 10 times better. Love this song and the vibe it gives.. I could relate to every single word
Had me locked in at “embers down my spine”...Her voice and lyrics just touch me in an unexplainable way. Have listened to this and Stay Tru about 100x each since discovering them a week ago!
I just discovered this song and listened 20 times in a row. Mereba, you are a blessing. Thank you for your art and all it moves, carries and represents.
Lyrics I've been through the fire I felt embers down my spine And I've said "World would you please have some mercy on me? Or could you please lift the curses on me?" I said, you always did Like it the hard way since you was a kid Look at the scars on your leg, you know You keep choosing the wild road Ooh, I'm not sorry Stay sick cause I follow my gut They say I was pushing my luck Ima push me a matte all black truck No, I'm not sorry Stay sick cause I follow my gut They say I was pushing my luck Ima push me a all black truck Ima push me a all black truck Ima push me a matte all- I been through the storm I heard thunder in my heart And I've said "World would you please shine a light up on me? Or would you show me a sign you love me?" I said, you always did Like it the hard way since you was a kid Time after time, again You keep the choosing the wild road
I remember this song coming on in 2020 while I was flying down the highway bcs I had just gotten the news that my grandma was having heart complications. She died a few minutes later. My grandma was my soul. Now every time I hear this I get choked up. Im still stuck and depressed.
I'm so sorry for your loss. A loving grandmother is truly a special thing. I'm still immersed in the earnest prayers of my mother's mother, and she passed 26 years ago. Those moments when you can feel your ancestors still with you... something that this video captured beautifully. We can't talk to them the same way that we used to, but their love will always be with us
Hey there. you are them reincarnated! Know that you are the all manifesting itself as you through you. Don't look outward! Know that you are the all at all time. Let's keep growing
You speak to them every day. Everytime you "talk to Yourself" And "You answer Yourself" Who you think you are talking to. Much love keep talking to your ancestors.
They live within you. We must make peace with our ancestors if we are to move forward and access their guidance. Look within, quieten the mind and ask them for guidance. Peace to you.
This song was like a call to prayer 🤲🏽 && affirmed the strength to follow through on a solo journey to my birthplace. A country I had no memory of and hadn’t been to since my adoption ♥️🇩🇴♥️
Feels good coming back to this masterpiece with a different perspective. A lighter, happier time in my life. I've been through the fire, through it !!!!!
that chanting...cuts through the chaos of the jungle and speaks to my soul. reminds me i dont belong here and that some part of me must be maintained. That part is the soul itself, it will always no the way home.
It’s crazy coming across this video because I came on UA-cam with the intention of researching video on how to contact my ancestors n guardians and came straight to this video I’ve now just discovered my new favorite artist! No such thing as coincidence!
Southerly Motherly I don’t, i just know that usually people use a ouiji board and have to do ritualistic things to talk to the ancestors. all of that stuff goes back to ancient and modern witchcraft. You’re supposed let the dead rest. That’s why the mainstream promotes these things because Hollywood promotes demonic activity like in black panther mixing science with witchcraft

Like it the hard way since you was a kid

Ooh, I'm not sorry

They say I was pushing my luck
Ima push me a matte all black truck
No, I'm not sorry
Stay sick cause I follow my gut
They say I was pushing my luck
Ima push me a all black truck
Ima push me a all black truck
Ima push me a matte all-
I been through the storm
I heard thunder in my heart
And I've said "World would you please shine a light up on me?
Or would you show me a sign you love me?"
I said, you always did
Like it the hard way since you was a kid
Time after time, again
You keep the choosing the wild road
(Wider Road) is what she says.....which means the mass of sheeple take this road..instead of narrow road not as popular that few wise people take.
