Well, I mean, part of the original purpose of these videos was to leave a record for people in the future to watch, and the people at British Pathé knew what they were doing.

But how british pathe have these number of significant historical footages. I mean in our India, most of footages available are only of, after 1950

Probably because at that time Britain was highly technologically advanced than most nations, where in Britain many inventions and manufacturing were all done. I’ve read writings during the Victorian times, most textiles and clothes being sold in Bazaars and Street Markets in the Middle-East or even in India are manufactured by high speed machines in Manchester England. Old style Looms in Asia cannot compete with such technology.
Now everything is made in China, India and Southeast Asia, While Britain is but a shadow of its former self.

@@Jackassash Yes, we all know those "doctors" with degrees from India and Bangladesh who diagnose patients through a Google search and prescribe paracetamol for everything. Health care won't lose much if they disappear.
