Merch is more for the casual audience. most of the viewers are casuals here. not all are photography enthusiast so their are more audience for merch like shirts rather than photography equipments.

I didn't subscribe for a long time because I didn't really understand that being a thing. I just kept going back to his channel to watch. My favourite of all time is his diy penny board suitcase one. You caused me to purchase a 70D back in the day, and he caused me to get the 6D Mark ii, WITH a 17-35mm L series lens....so, my bank account says that you guys SUCK!! However, I've learned so much about film making from him, you, and a handful of others, that has made vlogging truly fun and fulfilling. My hope is that it snowballs into something really special, and vloggers like you and Peter do that for countless thousands of aspiring film makers!!! LOVED THIS VLOG! This reminded me of the older style vlogs. 4k didn't mean shit, and most people watch on mobile so 4k was barely utilized and other people just didnt have internet strong enough to support it. The gh5 lacked good autofocus which is key for vlogging or one man team rogue filmmaking and the shallower depth of field that a aps-c crop sensor or full frame camera has. I love that you went back to canon, I think you might be shooting on the canon 6d mark ii full frame? No 4k but great color science, great auto focus, flip out screen, great lens selection and great depth of field from the full frame sensor for additional cinematic appeal even with lenses that aren't super fast. Love this man, something about canon color science and your vlogs has always just clicked and they were never the same after you moved on to sony/panasonic. Anyways, keep it up casey, would love more videos where you help teach some more of the tech or process behind shooting a scene/sequence, when you decide to use a wide shot/mid shot/close up, what you think flows the best together naturally in a sequence etc.
I watch UA-cam on my 4k tv all the time. It's nice to see UA-camrs taking advantage of the latest technology. If creators only created for the oldest tech, we wouldn't be where we are today.
I know the autofocus on the gh5 isn’t great, but the video quality was better .. I watch in 4k whenever available. Too bad.

Love the videos watch every time. I’m a single mom and currently working on my masters for genetics and recently started a new channel all about aquariums and guppies. Know it’s random but biology is fascinating and guppies are used in Genetic research often, just want to pass knowledge where I can. Thank you for the inspiration for deciding just go for it. Rutvik Reddy I was going to say - it doesn’t look “shallow depth of field”, it just looks like it needs a clean. Really annoying to watch. Almost like the shallow dof has been added in post rather than by the lens.
Ben Davies Yeah it looks like one of the sdf that phones try to create through software , I kind of prefer the high res 4k.
I do think the GH5 is better overall camera if you're into professional videography, V-LOG, 4K, DUAL Card Slot, etc... but the canon quality for vlogging is just better even if it's 1080. Nice upgrade!
