WFZ Project DEEP HALFTIME BASS HOP performed with ROLAND SPDS and NOVATION CIRCUIT

After a long time i rediscovered my old Roland SPDS sampling pad and it's great sampling quality! I made some kits with the Nord Drum 1 and sampled directly by the SPDS line in then i made some simple sequences using the internal phrase maker. I assigned 3 different loops to the pads then played the main drums on the other pads. The Novation Circuit provide a simple drum loop in order to have a rhythmic reference (the loops on SPDS are not synced to eachother) and a chord variation with synth pads and melodic bassline (overdubbed in a second take). The Roland SPDS it's really easy to use and have a good response, the FX are a little outdated but i like the Synth Perc that makes some digital sci-fi style noises. Enjoy!

Yes the SPDS it's still a good instrument, the only thing i always missed is an envelope for volume and amooth pitch control, hope they introduced them in the new model :)
