Absolutely not, rather you receive baptism as an outward sign of faith. As you well know the thief on the cross was not baptized and yet is in heaven so in absolute terms you have a proof text there. That said it was not ideal. As Christians we are to be baptized and should be obedient but it does not save us in the way you are likely to suggest.

Absolutely not, rather you receive baptism as an outward sign of faith. As you well know the thief on the cross was not baptized and yet is in heaven so in absolute terms you have a proof text there. That said it was not ideal. As Christians we are to be baptized and should be obedient but it does not save us in the way you are likely to suggest.
