I have a 1979 Catalina sedan that I am bringing back to life. The first car I ever drove was a 79 Bonneville, which is basically the same car with more options.

My first car was a '72 Catalina 4dr. sedan. Excellent car!! Sure miss it. Also had a '67.

I just purchased a 60 Catalina. It’s far from stock. I love the 60 Impala but you can basically have the same car with the Catalina for less than half the price. Gotta love it.

pontiac in 1982, downsized bonneville, renaming the grand lemans. it was a huge failure. in 1983, pontiac was forced to import the parisienne from canada, to stay in the full size rear wheel drive segment. the car reminded americans of the chevy, (basiclly it was a rebadged chevy) and was discontinued at the end of 1986, only the wagon survived, being called safari, until the end of 1989.
