Just found your channel and found it really informative 👍🏻 3 Questions: 1-What media do you use in the canister filter? 2-What skimmer do you own? (seen on another vid) 3-Would a lid change things dramatically (specifically light) as I have cats. Thanks and keep uploading fab vids 👍🏻

Thank you 😁 I use seachem matrix and purigen. I use the aquario skimmer that is built into the outflow pipe but before that I never used a skimmer. I do sometimes use a ehim skimmer for collecting plant trimmings after trimming the carpet etc. A lit would affect the light as the lid would get all steamy or water on it from the humidity but it is definitely an option. Either that or putting the tank on a stand like mine that cats don't have a ledge to sit on nearby

How much fertilizer do you add to this tank?

I add 1ml of APT complete fertiliser everyday 😊 I have put a 1ml pump on the bottle to make it easy

I really like your video!!! I'm doing the same setup....I just order the UNS 60S similar to your ADA 60F. How did you get the lily pipes to fit your Oase filtosmart 100? Or witch lily pipe set are you using?

You can buy smaller lily pipes. I think it's 13mm but double check. Thanks for watching

Could you do me a favor and measure out the length of that tank? I have an ADA 60f as well put it doesn't look as long as yours... (I hope it did 😢) mine is 60 x 30 x 25 btw

Haha its definitely an ADA 60f but it's the old size so it's only about 18cm tall

should i have a skimmer for my 60F or would that be overrated?

The skimmer barely fits in due to the height of the tank and soil haha. I sometimes use it for collecting trimmings but I dont use skimmers apart from that
