- The new Hardtop roof tent has finally arrived and it is bloody awesome!
This is the Pathseeker 2 roof tent from Direct 4x4. It's solar powered and has a detachable battery pack with USB inputs, key fob to open and close the tent (you can also manually open and close the tent without the fob). Windows on all sides with fly mesh too, vents, built in folding ladder on top, pockets inside and out, various internal hanging hooks, internal mattress which can be removed for washing.
I cannot wait to get this out on some road trips! and overnight off-road ventures!

Great video. We have a Flat dog roof rack and bought the tent brackets off them too. Makes it nice and easy as you don't need to use the brackets that come with the tent just the bolts. Love your defender

Hi, what’s the height from roof of the defender to top of collapsed tent.... want to see if I can fit in my garage when not in use
Personally, I would have had the tent opening on the other side (passenger side). Very good equipment by the look of it.
Whys that, what benifit to the drivers side
@@Woodlandbill When stranded by the side of the road and no other choice to spend the night there, having your tent opposite to the eventual trafic.

carlos muralhas Hi Carlos, no it doesn’t open up on the top. It has a large ceiling vent that opens for condensation, but not a full window to see outside
