I have the previous generation, the Franchi Affinity. I absolutely love it. I've put everything through it from light trap loads to heavy duck and turkey loads and it eats everything flawlessly. I probably have about 5,000 rounds through it at this point and it's still my go to gun.
My Franchi Affinity 3 Compact is my first shotgun. Your video is so well-made and easy to understand, I now feel much more confident that I'll be able to take care of it properly. Thank you so much!
I bought an Affinity 3 with a 30” barrel primarily for sporting clays. I’m coming up on ~500 rounds so I figured it’s time for a clean and lube. After watching your video I will now give this a go. Thanks for the cracking good video mate.
Franchi makes great shotguns. I encourage owners to use the shim kit to customize fit also. Really makes a difference in your point of impact if you get the fit right.
Alan T For the price, you are getting a lot of Gun for your money. Hunted all day in the rain yesterday. No issues. I’m very happy with mine. Glad you liked the video and hope you got something out of it. Thanks for watching!
Thanks ashy! I would love to visit Scotland one day. I’ve got some ancestors from over there. Are Scottish citizens allowed to have firearms such as this?
Brennon Flugence thanks man I appreciate that. I have been so busy ever since I made this one. With the holidays and hunting season going on it’s been hard. I would really like to start making videos weekly and even start filming some hunts. Plus the quality of GoPro footage is terrible. I need to get a good camera.
I have the exact same one and I started using a better gun oil because I noticed the rem oil was gunking up and was making it rust out in the water… after I switch it has been unstoppable and no rust! Awesome vid cheers!
@@TheSiiliperse we can own a seven shot or whatever but it has to be on a firearms certificate not a shotgun certificate. So yes will only hold two in the mag and one in the breech.
Great video! I got my left-handed Affinity 3 today and the instructions for assembly are incorrect. Your video helped me get it together! Looking forward to breaking it in with some skeet this weekend.
Great job i just bought my franchi affinity 3 sport and your vidio on disassembly was great , my gun came unassembled so I cleaned it and then assembled it .... but I could not get it together 😕 tryed over and over ...I could not get the barrol and for arm on finaly I realized I had the bolt set back 😬 after that it went together like a dream. hello. i am looking at buying this gun in a left handed model. i hunter deer as long as ducks. any idea if i can switch barrels from a riffled barrel to a bird barrel. i know i will have to buy the barrel separate but does this gun have that feature of changing barrels?
Unfortunately I don’t think you can get a riffled-barrel on this model, I could be wrong I’m just not certain as I’ve never thought about doing it before. . What you could do is put a rifled choke tube in it though.
Sam Davidson sounds good man I think I can make that happen. Season has opened up now so I’m pretty busy! I had a feeling someone might ask eventually! Glad you liked the video, you will love your new firearm.
018132 I’m usually shooting rio blue steel, Winchester x, or Kent fast steel. Whatever I can find. They all shoot about the same to me. I shoot #2’s always and will carry some BB’s just in case some geese come over. That cremator choke is the way to go. I’ve got the long range.
@@undercoveroverwater8413 I looked at an exploded drawing to try to figure that out. I think the shell handler is built into the button on the side of the receiver that you can block feeding. It looks like a fantastic shotgun, and very easy to break down.
Is this the 12 or 20 gauge? I just got the 20 gauge for my son and we’re having a horrible time loading rounds past the carrier latch of the magazine. It’s so bad he can’t even load it himself and it kills your thumb! Just curious if other owners have had the same issue when breaking it in. Hoping it gets easier because we love the gun. Thanks!
cole merrill Hey cole yes this is a known “issue” with the 20 gauge. When I was doing research on the 12 gauge I can remember reading a lot of comments on the 20 gauge being hard to load. From what I have read, it will get easier as more shells are shot through it. The 12 gauge was a little stiff at first as well but it has loosened up for me.
UnderCoverOverWater thanks for your help! I’ve read that the 12G doesn’t really have this issue as much as the 20. Really wish I would’ve know this and I would’ve just got him the 12G. The compact option is what really sold us as he’s only 13. It’s a awesome gun minus this major issue that I think could easily be addressed by franchi. Thanks again!
cole merrill I know that must be frustrating. I would take a weekend and go shoot a lot of cheap lead shot through it or just sit in your garage and load/unload it. I have heard that if you remove the carrier latch and barely bend it slightly that it also help with the issue. Once it gets broke in, it will get even better. Good luck!

TheSouthernsurvivor Hey man, I haven’t particularly been on a “dove hunt” with this gun yet but I have shot dove in the duck blind with it while they’ve been in season. As for the choke set up, I think I’d personally bump it down to a modified just bc I’m not the sharpest shooter out there. Case Hutchinson Hey Case, that is the Carlson Cremator Long Range(LR). Our Franchi Guns run all Benelli Mobil Choke Tubes. Just check the package of whatever choke you are looking at and see if it says it’s compatible with Benelli Mobil. Like I said in the video, this gun is very identical to a Benelli. It’s the extended version as well. I’d also like to add that the long range is the extended Full choke. A helpful tip: you can shoot lead through a full choke that is designed for steel but you cannot shoot steel through a full choke that is designed for lead. Steel will not give much while lead has a little bit of play. It’s a softer metal. There will be info about this on any choke tube you buy though.
