I got stuck on this when I first tried playing the snake game. The d-pad controls were totally mixed up, and no matter how hard I tried to re-learn them, it was just way too difficult. Then I discovered that you can fix it by just switching your controls back to default settings. Hopefully this bug didn't stop too many people from completing it all, because this really was one of the coolest things I've seen in Rocket League.
