The Rebellion Way - Bikepacking - Day 1
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 гру 2024
- The Rebellion Way is a 232-mile/373km cycling adventure around Norfolk. Meandering along a mix of quiet, mostly flat back roads, byways, cycle paths and bridleways under huge panoramic skies, it’s a fantastic introduction to multi-day, on- and off-road adventuring for anyone.
The name comes from the fact that, while this ancient county is now characterised by a relaxed, timeless, pastoral charm, it has a fascinatingly turbulent history from the Iron Age onwards. Exploring the stories, ancient sites, stunning vistas and thriving wildlife of this unique area enriches every mile of this leisurely but rewarding loop.

100 miles in a day bike packing...best of luck for day 2! Great vid as always.
What a great video mate, we do surely have some beautiful parts of the UK.
Look forward to next part 👍
Good to bump into you just now. Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend. Seen various vids of yours, but didn't realise you'd done the Rebellion Way too. Doing the northern loop myself in a week's time, so will watch these vids on a bigger screen at home. Subbed. Thanks and all the best!
Good luck with the Rebellion Way buddy 😁👍
Bikepacking is amazing. Great video
I've ridden the peddlers way
That ruined church would be a top place to camp for the night.
Yes it would, very remote so ideal for a camp 👌👍
@@darrencurtisuk I'm torm between king Alfred's way and rebellion way.
Yes it is - what's it called? Any idea where it is on the route? Gonna do the route next weekend.
Nice one Darren. Loving these cycling vlogs. Something a little different. Thanks for sharing your journey as always
Much appreciated 😁👍
Good going, Darren. I'm interested in what set up of the packs you're using , just got myself a gravel bike to do some multi day rides. Looking forward to this 👍
Topeak backloader 10l is the saddle bag. Impressed with it.
Alpkit deluge bag underneath the frame. Feels flimsy, but seemed good enough.
Apidura top tube bag. Very handy, goes on all my rides. Very expensive, but oozes quality (may get their saddle bag if I feel I need a larger one)
Restrap handlebar bag. Picked it up on sale, very well made. Does rattle a bit, so used a extra strap to synch it down.
The x2 stem bags are from Alpkit. Lovely large size. For shorter rides I also have the smaller & much cheaper ones from decathlon.
It's always worth creating searches on eBay to pick up bargains / get an idea of the depreciation of what you are looking to buy
Nice vid! How do you get on with the stem bags? As a long legged person, i would think they be quite inconvenient and a constant threat to my knees when standing up and climbing out of the saddle.
I had no problems with them. Very useful for their intended purpose.
I don't tend to stand much, I just sit and spin it out on the inclines.
They are very expensive, but the 2nd price on ebay is strong so figured I couldn't go wrong.
