Oh, and I TOTALLY loved that long talk you were putting up for a good while just to NOT cross that door. We didn't realize you were just trying to delay it. Really, we didn't. Like, at all ;) (tho at least you were talking interesting stuff, as usual so hey, not complaining :D)
What's this *"we"* business? I, for one, quite enjoy Jingles' little story-telling interjections, they are either relevant, informative or just straight up entertaining.
Three things I realized about Jingles in this game. 1.) He always click no when trying to save. 2.) He always have a jump scare on auto-doors. 3.) He never use the locker to hide. lol And running toward your objective when the alien is clearly in the area is a big mistake. :P
One thing I realized about people that are so immersed in games like this.... They don't think clearly, instinct kicks in. That, above all, is why I am really enjoying Jingles' play-through over anyone elses, it just seems so much more.....i dunno....honest?
Just want to say, Jingles this is the best series i am currently watching on UA-cam. No joke i had your channel page open and was refreshing every 20 minutes until this was uploaded. Love the series!
"don't look back, don't look back". Well, you didn't. At least was a sudden, fast, death and you didn't see it coming. Which in a way I'm sorry it was like that, because your face watching that thing coming for you would've been worth watching...but I'm sure we'll get to see it at some point :D BTW The Thing was not "one thing taking them one by one"...actually in several moments of the plot there are several things at the same time. Blew my mind when I found out when I watched it for the...dunno,maybe 4th or 5th time. Truly a classic :)
I think the thing that makes the Xenomorph terrifying is that it's unknown and unknowable. It's intelligent, although slightly inferior to humans, but cannot be reasoned with. It kill everything, but no one knows why, so you cannot placate it. It is death incarnate. Humans have two biological reactions to danger, fight or flight, and the Xenomorph denies you both of those. You can't fight it, because it's better than you. It's stronger, tougher, more deadly in every way. But you can't flee either, because it's faster than you. It doesn't have eyes, so visual contact isn't that important to it. Some people speculate that it uses eleoctromagnetic fields to sense its surroundings, similar to certain types of fish. Which means it can effectively sense everything in a bubble around itself. So you can't hide from it, at least not for any extended period of time. And although it's very large, it's also very silent. It sneaks about, hiding, crawling through vents, on the ceiling, under the floors. And you never know it's there until it's too late. Basically, it makes you helpless. The only thing you can do is keep moving, and pray to whatever deities you worship that you get where you're going before it finds you.
I think it has eyes cause,at least in the game cause i was pretty far away from him and when he turned his head towards me he started charging. Then there is the game alien vs predator and when you play the alien you can see so i guess he does have eyes.
Jingles. We require more of the Aliens videos. Your devilish World of Tanks gameplay has caused me to laugh, but watching you lose your mind playing this game has brought me to hysterical tears. You playing this series is amazing sir, just amazing.
You asked if we have watched others play this. ...Yes, I've see others run through it all balls to the wall and miss things, but have never seen a more analytical, and suspenseful approach to the game. The fact that you are such a pansy about it is just hilarious....your one liners lol. Love it
Having to watch this with a glass of Sailor Jerry's by my side to steady my nerves. Been watching a couple of other YTers playing through this, but your playthrough, Jingles, is by far and away the most terrifying!
Jingles, please start exploring more man! You're missing picking up lots of stuff from what I've seen so far, but I love the series so far and I've gotten some good laughs so far. Keep up the fantastic entertainment!
Don't ever run when the alien is there, ever :D He must be very far away to not hear it and catch you in a moment of seconds. When you need to go past it, you can wait for an opening, or throw something to distract it.
Also, if I remember an old local PCGamer description for the first AVP game, anything an alien can see is always literary seconds away anyway, so don't try doing any funny stuff of that calibre either.
The comedy when you at 16:59 says "Oh shit! It's in the vent!" and then back up to pause right under the open vent where the alien climbed up into it. xD Apparently the alien wasn't hungry at that moment and let you go. :)
I watched you walk past the save point and thought "this video will end in about a minute because Jingles is going to panic when the alien is attacking those guys, die, and realize he has ten minutes of gameplay to redo" and I was totally right lol.
Well, congratulations. You're the third person I've seen go for the "run away while it's eating" option to similar results. They all fail to realize one important thing. It's not eating, it's hunting. :) Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility. The Perfect Organism.
Funny how one is constantly frightened and on the lookout for the alien - and then ending up being killed by a human... That's human behaviour for you, and a nice game touch actually. Great series J
I tried to watch a few other play throughs of this game by others and so far they are either jaded survival horror gamers or CoD adrenaline junkies with itchy trigger fingers. Yours is the only one that I have seen that actually takes the time to soak in the experience. The others jumped at the same scares but they weren't as immersed as Jingles is. The others just felt less interesting and more mechanical. Thank you Jingles for sharing and of course the annotations and enlightenment on the mythos and behind the scenes of the of Alien film(s). Very entertaining.
Jingles please make sure you overwrite your save, otherwise you will have more load checkpoint issues like the one you just had. Really enjoying these videos by the way, keep them coming.
If the people who made this game saw you, they'd be very pleased. You really bring out the fear and feeling in it. This is just SO great, keep it up. It's much better than another rushed playthrough with someone just talking nonsense.
You have to choose the yes option when saving. The green light goes red and stays red when you back away from the terminal and you are locked out of saving at that terminal for a period of time. The only other time the game will save is after important transition cutscenes which are few and far between. Just trying to save you some agro, I can see you dying a lot XD. "I shouldn't run", *hears ppl dying.....and takes off like a rocket*. I nearly died laughing when I heard it coming for you XD
Yeah me too.I was like what the hell is he doing, does he think he can outrun the alien?:)) I can only guess that when he heard the alien killing the scavangers he thought that was his chance to make a run for it but his brain must have blocked there cause he forgot that the door was locked :)).And worst thing to do when alien is around is to run.Whenever you hear him you have to go slowly crouching otherwise he will hear you and chase you.
Yeah, I've seen other playthroughs and he did what pretty much everyone else has done there, panic and bolt. As soon as I saw him miss the save point for the third time I knew we had about a minute before he died, realized he'd have ten minutes of game to replay, and then quit lol.
When you "interupt" your self in a meaning, you remind me of Dallas in the airducts, just Before his... demise? Great scray fun to Watch, keep it up! (Don't forget to save though!)
Loving this series so much! Congratulations on your first of many deaths! Remember that flares and other gadgets, like a flashbang, can be used to distract the alien. Firing the gun is not only not going to work on the xenomorph, the noise it makes actually attracts it. Also, you should probably get over your irrational fear of vents. They can save you lots of trouble and having to shoot or kill people.
Great series so far! New sub from me. As a huge fan of the alien series I highly encourage you to keep going! There is so much in this game that is an homage to the original Alien movie, particularly a mission up ahead a ways. You will really appreciate it! And yes, NEVER run unless your life is already in danger! Lol
+The Mighty Jingles I loved the 1st and second films and was exposed to them at way to young of an age, (like 6 years old LOL). Needless to say I was convinced there was an alien curled up in the corner of my closet every night when I went to bed as a kid, yeah I know, fucked up . Anyways I played this game exactly as you did, every noise filled my britches with crap and I eventually quit playing the game shortly after your next video. I am watching your videos now, I now they are old, and enjoying them immensely. Keep up the great work on the channel!
You may not be the most . . err. . ."Macho" of space horror heros, but to be honest, others seem to just play this to show how good they are at games like this. This isn't your style, but that adds a lot to the play through, your reactions seem more natural, and as a fan of the films, the extra details and information you keep throwing at us in between the screaming terror make this the best to watch. Many internets to you Sir!
Some of us pointed one important thing in previous video. When you save, you have to "Yes" it every time. It makes new save over older one, but it keeps one old save too for you. So you can try to change some mistakes, when you notice those. So just press "YES" every time mate. :)
I have to say Jingles I love scary movie's and games but watching you play this game, I'm getting contact fear, you’re freaking me out man!! However I can’t wait to get the game myself. Again I still like the way you mix it up for all of us, thanks and game-on.
Oh god how i love this series! I hope you got the courage to play threw the whole game! When you can't take it no more, just get your manpants on, they are shitproof!
Just a few tips from someone who has played many games like this. I noticed that things (lockers, containers, etc.) with green lights are accessible and will more than likely have items you can use for weapons health etc. Try not to run if can avoid it, running is loud and brings unwanted attention unless you're heavily armed lol. Don't get hung up about being freaked out or how scared you look or are, embrace the fear and use it as fuel to unwind the story. Good Luck,
You know the best part of watching Alien: Isolation Let's Plays is that you can almost expect different things to happen because of how the AI are programmed.

18:20 Jingles, everybody else ive watched tryed to fake it and i have to say i didnt like it and i was a bit offended by it, dont know why. you on the other hand seem to be genuine :D so yeah im sticking with yours, this is pure gold :D
Jingles you need to hide in lockers more often. It keeps you safe and gives you time to think and let the threat pass by making it think you're not there.
what makes your vids on this game fun to watch is you buy into the circumstances , so your reactions are genuine , to many gamers just play with out being actually involved . so their vids are boring alot of the time,( just go do this or that)way more fun to get into the game ,
Dont worry Jingles, when it comes to horror comes im just as bad as you. Loved the video by the way jingles, always have a good time watching your videos.
"Has anyone been such a massive pansy as me while playing this" No, Jingles, it's called caution. You've also survived longer than most of the other people i've watched.

A hilarious moment from another guy playing this game. Pay attention to his channel name when watching this, pretty good. WHAT THE ACTUAL F-- (Alien: Isolation)

It was just a completely fine time to start talking, pure coincidence there was a door he made a point not to cross!

Just want to say, Jingles this is the best series i am currently watching on UA-cam. No joke i had your channel page open and was refreshing every 20 minutes until this was uploaded. Love the series!
Me to!
Yea
I really like the way Jingles plays this, like he's actually there.
Love it. Keep the series going, mate! These vids got you a sub from me. Not like I'm a huge deal, though.
Extra minions for the salt mines are always welcome!
BohemianEagle Your the best, pls never stop making vids :D
BohemianEagle Any new "why you heff to be mad" soon? :) btw the facecam works fine
BohemianEagle Bad Jingles ;)
BohemianEagle Hold on a second, LIAR YOU SAID IF WE SUBBED WE DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK *unsubs*

It took me ages to get past that elevator part, Jingles is a stealth master!
I think the thing that makes the Xenomorph terrifying is that it's unknown and unknowable. It's intelligent, although slightly inferior to humans, but cannot be reasoned with. It kill everything, but no one knows why, so you cannot placate it. It is death incarnate.

Jingles, please start exploring more man! You're missing picking up lots of stuff from what I've seen so far, but I love the series so far and I've gotten some good laughs so far. Keep up the fantastic entertainment!
The scariest moment in this video.
The moment when Jingles had to cough.
I was like what the fuck my ears while almost shitting my pants.

you didnt angle your armor enough when you got shot
+Commissar_Dan Gold spam noob
Scouts didn't do their job
Violet stet pedder

This is some of your best content Jingles, keep it up mayne

25:12
I was tabbed away and that was more terrifying than any alien noise I'd ever heard.
Jingles, out of the whole vid, that sound at 25:14 sacred me
*scared*
No, it made you holy. You are now a sacred object.
I watched you walk past the save point and thought "this video will end in about a minute because Jingles is going to panic when the alien is attacking those guys, die, and realize he has ten minutes of gameplay to redo" and I was totally right lol.

I'm loving this series. Please finish it!
I love how you start spouting trivia to stall for time
lol I love how jingles reacts as if hes really in the situation as the game character its awesome. Really shows you how immersed hes into the game.
I tried to watch a few other play throughs of this game by others and so far they are either jaded survival horror gamers or CoD adrenaline junkies with itchy trigger fingers. i like how from like 23:00 in he gets so scared he starts distracting us by talking about the movie and stops playing haha!
I love how much of a 'safety blanket' the revolver is
When you "interupt" your self in a meaning, you remind me of Dallas in the airducts, just Before his... demise? Great scray fun to Watch, keep it up! (Don't forget to save though!)
your face at the end when your hiding next to the stairs is priceless lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O
i was more scared by your cough at 25.30 mins than the alien
LOL
You know, every time an Alien game has come out in the UK it really tops the charts. Is there just a really dedicated Alien community over there?
Good to see that the Mighty Gnome Overlord is afraid of something, we still have hope... Keep up the series Jingles, this is funny as hell :)
To answer your question Jingles the one I'm watching is getting more paranoid than scarred, but it's so fun to wach :D
Loving this series so much! Congratulations on your first of many deaths! Remember that flares and other gadgets, like a flashbang, can be used to distract the alien. "Jingles i wan't to go back to the salt mines, jingles?? JINGLES!?. Oh god"
Jingles, you were facing off against a bad guy around a corner, and I was yelling "Sidescrape, Jingles, sidescrape!"
Great series so far! New sub from me. As a huge fan of the alien series I highly encourage you to keep going! There is so much in this game that is an homage to the original Alien movie, particularly a mission up ahead a ways. You will really appreciate it! Enjoy hacking that door with the Xeno right behind you, Jingles. Make sure you're quick, or it might turn around. No pressure or anything. ;)
Absolutely loved Jingles reaction at 28:56 xD
That cough or sneeze at about 25:13 scared the shit out of me
+The Mighty Jingles I loved the 1st and second films and was exposed to them at way to young of an age, (like 6 years old LOL). The thing in the thing was horrible...you sooo silly jingles! Great video! You made a scary noise when you blew your nose... :)
Some of us pointed one important thing in previous video. When you save, you have to "Yes" it every time. It makes new save over older one, but it keeps one old save too for you. So you can try to change some mistakes, when you notice those. So just press "YES" every time mate. :)

"I probaly should go across that door...but i'm talking here!"
Hey, jingles, those are excuses, we both know it. ;P
Nice videos! keep them coming!
So while shitting my pants with you Jingles, i'm going to eat some spaghetti...hopefully i wont die.
Nice
Love these Jingles, keep it up. Don't have the stones to play myself, so I'll watch you. ;)
at 25:13, that sound Jingles made scared me more than the actual video.
Jingles this series is great. Two thumbs up.
THE COUGH SCARED THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME.
I've seen a little of this with other youtubers and they got scared just like you Mighty Jingles. I am enjoying this.
I love the intro lmao. "*dies* oh bollocks."

Good Luck,
You know the best part of watching Alien: Isolation Let's Plays is that you can almost expect different things to happen because of how the AI are programmed.
Hey Jingles, LOVE the videos, I get to see what I'm like during these games, LOL. Cheers.
jingles...ehm I mean m'lord...please continue this series! ill be off to the salt mines now..
Jingles your vids are really entertaining, you deserve more subs
Jingles you are my hero love these alien videos and WoT videos you are the only reason youtube was invented keep up the good work
From a fan in Norway :)
I honestly enjoyed your reactions to the thing that happen in this game over the others that did their videos. .
Thanks Jingles!!! I love watching this.
Jingles, just dont die during this series
Alex Lybäck What?
Alex Lybäck He meant in real life
Alex Lybäck i think hes concerned about Jingles, not Ripley :D
Yes, im talking about Jingles
He's probably going to poop himself inside out
I tried it with headphones this time around and it gets scary. Also you can hear and smell the genuine fear from mr Jingles and his cat. It's easy to judge when listening comfortably on laptop speakers...
I've got a new nickname for you Jingles. I'm caling you Mighty ScardyPants for these Isolation series.
Within the 301 club, yay! Perfect upload timing for my dinner. ^^
33:21
*Music goes silent*
*omg realization face*
"How long has it been since I saved the game?!?"
I love how you whisper. Like the game can hear you.
Jingles, the ambient is scarrying you more than the alien itself ! watahell.
THAT FUCKING MIC NOISE AT 25 mins SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!!
Jingles presents walking sim 2014. The game ends when your face becomes a human happy meal, or you get mugged.
Ahh the sound effects are so sweet in this game :)
25:13 ffs Jingles was reading the comments and you scared the crap out of me!!!!
The scariest part of the vid was your sneeze....it scared me so much XD
Jingles, your forgetting Syd Mead! He did the spaceships and and more... My dad worked with Syd Mead at Philips in Eindhoven and he is still a good friend of the family. Brilliant futurist! (Blade Runner was only one of his works).
I love your WOT vids but these are even better! Cant stop laughing! Keep them coming Jingles
what makes your vids on this game fun to watch is you buy into the circumstances , so your reactions are genuine , to many gamers just play with out being actually involved . so their vids are boring alot of the time,( just go do this or that)way more fun to get into the game ,
Dont worry Jingles, when it comes to horror comes im just as bad as you.
Loved the video by the way jingles, always have a good time watching your videos.
I feel your fear Jingles. I started this game the other day. The atmosphere itself was enough to freak me out even after I've seen it on youtube.
What's really cool is that the lighting on your game/screen also affects the face cam.
pretty neat, it's like you're actually there. RUN.
"Has anyone been such a massive pansy as me while playing this"
No, Jingles, it's called caution. You've also survived longer than most of the other people i've watched.
Jingles, NEVER assume there is only ONE alien!
I was reading comments at 24:00 and you cough scared the shit out of me!
Me the entire time: "HIDE JINGLES!!! NO, STOP PLS!!! HIDDDEEEEEEEE!!! (and in a whispering voice) it's right behind you..."
Jingles, that sneeze sounded like a scream from the alien movies
Hi Jingles,
My first ever reaction on any youtube vid! You are doing great! Cant wait for the next one!
Realy like the way you make it fun to wach you. Wached this vid right before i got to bed.
Dont going to do it with your next vid. Din't get fast in to sleep.!
From Holland!
Greetz!!!
at 18:50 I just imagine Jingles shouting: 'I WANT MY MOMMY.'
I noticed that you kept hitting no when saving in the last video, but alas I thought it too funny to tell you :P Does that make me a bad person?
So did I. He did chose yes on some saves so let's hope he don't have to start to far back. My guess he was to scared to think about what he's doing :D
I noticed the same thing in earlier videos. Was waiting for this moment :D
Rezobly
As was I :)
A hilarious moment from another guy playing this game. Pay attention to his channel name when watching this, pretty good.
