One of the best I've seen on Dune so far, mate! I absolutely love what you've done here in capturing Paul's character. The story is so captivating, and great choice on the music with The Call! Well done my friend!
You have no idea how much this means to me, especially coming from you mate! Thank you so much, I really am so pleased to know you enjoyed it that much!
Masterful work here. Perfectly encapsulated the dense and rich beauty, world, and story of DUNE within a few minutes. This actually managed to slightly fill that enormous feeling of emptiness after leaving that cinema and returing to reality (which Im sure, most fans can attest to) so thank you for that. Cant wait for what you have in store for your main upcoming edit once part 2 release digitally.
Thank you so much for the beautiful words... The world of Dune is just so incredibly captivating, and I can't wait to explore it even further in my next tribute!
I never made sense of the line “you have more than one birthright, boy” by the reverend mother until now… that being Jessica’s son he was also heir to the Harkonnen house but that isn’t revealed until the second movie. 😮
I saw the 4DX presentation of Dune 2 recently. I have read the entire Dune saga by Frank Herbert. It's important to make distinctions between the source material presented in a multi book format versus a reinterpretation of the source material as a cinematic/theatric expression. Dune 1 & 2 represent an incredible cinematic achievement on a similar plane as Lord of The Ring. Paul's hero's journey from confused and immature adolescent to the new Duke and The One is powerfully presented with limitations due to vehicle. Frank Herbert's underlying theme of messianic leadership; its lure to oppressed peoples is more evident here than in previous treatments. Paul's struggle with destiny versus mass indoctrination culminates in a amazing performance of his speech at the Freemen's war council. But historically it was only a matter of time before the Freemen united behind a leader to secure their independence. Chani's idea that the Freemen's leader could only be of that group does not square with historical experience. Leaders of transformative movements are typically "outsiders" representing new ideas. In fact, Paul's leadership addressed a deeper historical question; the fate of the Freemen and Dune. I questioned Paul's choice of a bloody Holy War instead of a bloodless and more effective ascendancy to the throne through his absolute unquestioned control of the most precious substance in their universe... .SPICE.
Jason as Duncan ended up being one of my absolute favourite things about Part One. I think Christopher did a fine job though, especially considering he didn't have much screen time anyway
@HZEditsYT No knock against Christopher... he's an all time goat. I just think the part would have been better with someone who could hide their accent. Like a Mads Mikkelsen maybe. I hear Walkin talk and I think of the pulp fiction monolog.
@@seanmiller5460 This is true. I remember a line of his when he was entering a room and he was like, "What's going on here?", but in the most classic Walken-sounding delivery, I couldn't help but chuckle and was immediately taken out of the movie for a few seconds. Definitely got some Pulp Fiction flashbacks right there lol

Paul's love for his father drove his vengeance to the absolute core.....and he is not even close to done.
When you get the casting done right. Everyone playing their role so fucking well
Exactly, the worm cast is the best, I mean so sweet, hihi, in the original movie I hated theese worms but by Dennis Villeneuve, Mega!
The score by Hans Zimmer ist auch super
Absolutely right.
I was originally hesitant when I originally saw Timothee Chalamet as Paul but he was able to capture the growth of Paul very well
This is one of the best Paul Atreides Tributes I have ever seen!!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much! I couldn't agree more!

The epic movie event of the year ⭐️
As an Italian I can say that the "Adagio di Tomaso Albinoni" is one of the best musical choice for a video.

Is everyone here ready for dune missaiah , children of dune, and the God emperor?

No video has permission to go that hard, that was crazy
Happy to hear that :D
Good movie
G minor Adagio by Tomaso Albinoni
*"Lisan Al Gaib"*
where do u get your dune clips from
All Part One scenes are edited directly from the film, and all Part Two scenes are from the trailers, of which I got from The Digital Theatre
I was nervous about Jason Mamoa as Duncan Idaho, but he nailed it. Christopher Walkin? Not so much. Only casting that was a headscratcher for me.
