1977 Walt Disney World Resort - Restored 8mm Film

This one really does have it all from the 70s at Walt Disney World. We get some time in the Magic Kingdom, some amazing shots at the Polynesian, and lots of in-between things from their trip.
This runs just over 20 minutes so make sure you don't blink...You could miss a quick shot tucked in there. Enjoy!

Loved the scenes of the Poly! When it was a true resort - beaches, boats, and more. Started going to WDW and the Poly the following year, when I was 2 years old.

Thanks for the memories! I remember renting those boats outside the Poly with my dad in 1982ish when he started working at Epcot! Glad I took my own kids in 2020 right before the COVID closures - they're gone now and I fear may never return

RetroWDW: my family visited right around this same time - a bit earlier, actually, as I was born in late June 76 and am a baby in my dad’s similar (but shorter) home movies. Here’s the thing, though… he had an early sound camera. We have film of the skiffle banjo group, pearly band, parade band and steel drum group all shown here plus the firehouse saxophone quintet and a few snippets of stage shows in sound. I’d love to send it to you if you’re interested. The only downside is my dad’s excruciating narration.
