Excellent setup. Great info too!!! They are looking GREAT! Oh man, there's SG logos all over the place. You are too kind to do these shoutouts.
Thank you! Both definitely grew compared to when I got them from you 😁
And Criz P is craaazy about food lol
Hey Bro! Wally is a great guy!
He sure is bro!
I great breeder and person
agreed
oh, that scared me when i thought my young female pictus gecko was developing eggs, i never found any eggs after that though.
It looks like it might be the same with mine, I don't see signs of eggs anymore. Either it was just a lot of poop lol or she absorbed the eggs. But we'll see what happens
Do you give your pictus geckos 24/7 heat? and when you say your seperating them in a 40 gallon, do you mean split it?
No, at the moment just at night. During the day it's already in the high 70s so I have the thermostat connected to a timer so it just turns on during the night.
And yeap, that what I meant 🙂
I'm thinking of using plexiglass to divide it
@@jpslizards Thank you, and im doing something similar right now with a 20 so ill see how it goes. and i know half of a 20 is smaller but it hopefully wont be for long. I cant wait to see how your enclosure turns out!
I probably won't be able to do it soon but at least it's in the plans. And thank you for watching!
How do you get your Pictus to be more comfortable with being around you? My dude is very skittish and will not even eat when I'm around him(he eats very well when in his cage). I'm okay with not handling him, but it's a pain when I'm trying to do tank maintenance or something as I don't want him freaking out.
I'm sorry to say this, but this is actually the reason as to why I don't have them anymore. They would normally grab the feeder from the tongs then hide.
@@jpslizards I'm more of a "look, not touch" person so I really only tong feed or handle my American toad who is missing an eye, so that is fine for me. I'll just try and time the maintenance around when my gecko is in his tunnels. Thanks though. 🙂
Then they will be perfect for you. Most keepers have them in very simple set ups with just a couple of hides to make maintenance and interaction easier
@@mpk6664did you ever get yours to calm down?
