Will the soft pastels and chalk pastels leave a ghosting effect or will it wipe of easy with a wet rag?

I think it depends on the brand but in my experience, soft pastels (the harder ones) leave their ghost on the surface. Chalk pastels don't have ghosts. :)

When I was just "practicing, " I simply ask the restaurants to feed me. 😂 Maybe check illustrator rates around your area, you can charge per square foot of the board. :)

I just use regular white chalks. For more vibrant colors, you can use soft pastels or chalk pastels. You can probably get it at your local bookstore/craft store. :)

In your case you leave it un-fixed, so let's say, by accident or intenition, some of it gets rubbed off, do you charge to get it retouched? I want to know how to deal with clients concerns, I'm thinking of taking a course, this is very appealing to me.

I haven't experienced a major retouch so I didn't charge. The restaurant feeds me sometimes. XD

You can use a fixative or hairspray but here, I didn't apply any.
