Lovely work! I think it's amazing that this effect is created simply by using strips of different widths. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset UK
Super cool great video, keep ‘em coming! Can’t wait to see a few more sets. I have a pic of one done in low volume whites and creams, and fairly dark blues and navy’s. Now the lighter ones are made of a lot,of feedsack bags where u fussy cut the part of the bag with writing on it and use those to mix in with the white cream low volume ones, as feedsacks one they used were cream with writing on it,
Love this and I think I might give it a try using white and black on the inside not sure about the outside. I might also be cool using green on the inside and red on the outside to make a Christmas wreath
I wasn't sure of your choices when you started however, w the darker fabrics and the yellows & oranges, takes on a theatrical vibe..Beautiful Can't wait to see more.🇨🇦
The starting square is 1.5 inches. The light colours are 1.5 inches by width of the previous block (so the first 2 are 1.5 and then 2.5). The dark colours are 1 inch by width of the previous block (so the first two are 2.5 and then 3). Hope that helped. I love the math behind the patterns 😂
Your colors look like a full moon. What if you made 4 blocks starting with a small bright section And had the bright section get large until there is a full moon. 😊
I’m not sure I understand why you’re making the strips longer than you need? It seems wasteful, but if there’s a reason for it, then it would make sense. It’s so cool how it makes the circle!
I think she’s making them just a tiny bit bigger so that she can square up the block after each round. I like to do that too because I don’t want any corners being too skimpy - I want them perfectly square.
These blocks are a great idea. I love the way the circle forms. I think this four-block configuration would make a great pillow. I have some Valentine’s Day fabric left from last year that would look great. I’d have to switch my lights and darks though because I’d want my reds to be the circle. Also wanted to say that I have two of the fabrics you used in the circle in my stash. It’s always fun to see some of the older prints in my stash show up in someone else’s project.
Thank you! I always wanted to learn make this block
Love this block! Good to see you again. Happy New Year ❤️😁🌹

Very beautiful. Can you please share the measurements that you used - sometimes it is easier for me to read than to learn by watching. Thank you.
Unfortunately Nora never replies to comments 🤷🏼♀️. I do enjoy her videos though
