Yeah !!! I'm repeating myself, but I find those basses really really beautiful and balanced in the designs. They have this look of a solid high end "studious" instrument but there is alway a little thing kinda "special" highlighting the craziness bass players themselves can have. Modern against vintage....what a serie !!
This is such an amazing video! So happy for the guy's at Spector that got to design a inspiring bass for the masses. This shows true growth for a very creative and solid company!! Forever a Spector player, and supporter, I I do hope and believe that this Sparks innovation within a very strong company!!
These are gorgeous. It’s amazing to see what the Spector guys think up. I’d love to have a Spector with a satin neck and the dimarzio relentless pickups with the Sheehan style setup. I love the Spector ergonomics and the Yamaha Attitude sound and marrying the two would be amazing.
Incredible, beautiful and very interesting instruments!I'm glad, that Spector company does not afraid of some new experiments. But why most of that wonderful basses are so....classic?When i saw this video,i really hoped to see some modern features as well.Such as multiscale,5-7 pieced necks, unstandart pickups placement and configuration e.t.c.
Epic Spector bass porn ftw! Ian does such fantastic reviews. And that Tony Franklin harmonic slide... so money! Those basses are all so awesome but I'm loving the classic sounding ones. The Northern lights one was stunning. The fretless to fretted bass with the brass inserts was a fantastic idea. I'd take all of them but I'm shy a few bucks lol.
I had an original spector ns2ja from 80 with a case. when I was very young, I got it in some kind of exchange and sold it for a small amount of money because I had no money for living and obligations in life. today after 20+ years later I'm trying to find that bass and buy it back. unfortunately, I don't have pictures or anything like that because we didn't have mobile phones then, but home phones, it was a luxury for us to have a home computer. it was the war of 90 and difficult times. I came to the bass guitar through my good friend, a bassist from the neighborhood who worked in adam in zagreb and he was the owner of a coffee bar. adam lives in australia and then moved to croatia, he then owned 5 spector bass guitars that were bought directly from the usa and brooklyn era. I remember it well, as well as the inscription on the electronics board, where an American hand-engraved the name that he was the first owner. which means that I was then the 3rd hand, the owner. bolt on, 4 wires, black color, emg jazz, badass and schaller keys. deep bolt on construction, I remember that bass and miss it very much. here's a little story about the Spector bass guitar that could be like a movie. because it is 100% true.. I apologize if I filled it with too many words. thank you and good luck, the search continues or one day I will buy a new one that will overcome the love and pain of that old Spector.❤
the pink one with the thunderbird pickup looks super intereseting, whats the deal with that tone control? I thought you could only cut the high end not the midrange, it's super crazy, I love it
Specter NS's are beautiful to look at,but they're weird to play.I guess that curved top throws me off,harder to slap on too(for me).I have a 5 string(neck thru/2hums,MIK),and I've owned a 4 string MIJ.
Ian has a such a great way of describing the idioms about different basses. Great stuff!
💯

Love the blue one with the Hipshot and the last one. 🙌
Team favorite for sure!
I’m loving the classic Walnut and maple models. My wallet is wishing something simple and beautiful like that will come from the Korean factory!
Hyper Blue looks incredible
Love Spector basses, I'm still playing my Spector NS2JA from 1983.
Great demo’s 👏. My fave was the Jeff special - the “Northern Lights”….. man, that tone👌❣️🔥🤩🤘 tasty finish too.
🔥🔥 Bonus points for dropping the word “tasty”
Really happy to see Spector doing awesome stuff, even with Stuart retiring. I want that fretless!
Glad you dig the direction!
Frettless sou is incredible ❤
FINALLY!! somebody thought about an interchangeable neck that would also make traveling a breeze. God bless that guy.

@@OfficialSpector an answer to such a question would be why the hell not!! although I do believe that your question was rhetorical in nature

Amazing Spectors!!! So stoked to see this video!!!
👊
That Hyper Blue is about the sexiest effin bass, I've ever seen. I want to take that bass to Vegas and elope with it.
that first bass is wicked.
Real beauty
Can’t pick which one I like. All of them look nice😊
Thanks for spending some time with us!

The 5 string spalted and ebony is sick😫
Now i'm convinced i like bolt on and not neck through basses...the white bass is just phenomenal
Advantages to both but… interchangeable necks, fretted/ fretless🤌
That one w ToneStyler in it seems cool. Wonder what they want for that?

Agreed! it's a 10-step Stellartone switch. It uses miniature capacitors to shape the tone. Think of it almost like presets.
@@OfficialSpector that's super awesome, congrants on your creation!
Wow, all fantastic instruments, great job guys! Rob Venneri & Jeff Shreiner win the show though. Are those for sale? :) Cheers!
Thanks for checking us out! Yes these are for sale at reverb.com/news/one-of-a-kind-spector-basses-pop-up-on-reverb
WOW!
🤜🤛
What happened to the tone pump? I always thought that was dope.
What's the song at about @4:30 he plays?
My uncle Rich picked up a Spector years ago, without a doubt it almost played itself, the virus got Rich last Feb.
Could you please also let Ian introduce Euro Spectors?
Necessary 💪
Has someone been listening to guitar nerds podcast? Burghundy mist bass. I love the look of that bass the most.
we're always listening 😜
Take my money for the Spector NS-4 - Hyper Blue! Where can I obtain such a beautiful bass
Thanks for checking us out! This one sold, but you can custom order one through any authorized Spector USA dealer. Hit us up if interested. 🔥

Sting & The Police 2022 edition!
Why do they put the bridge so far forward on the body? It pushes the nut way too far away! Bass feels waaaay too long!
We need a bass with swappable fingerboards held on with magnets.
Drool
Dusty Hill gold P is awsome

🤘 which models do you have?
hammer some iron maiden out on the p-bass
Sounds awful
Awfully good… or awfully bad? 😂😂
