I really appreciate what you said about jefree star and shane dawson. I don’t get why suddenly people are soo into jeffree star. I don’t even keep up with his drama but he seems overall an awful person to support. I feel like a lot of youtubers, even ones I used to really enjoy (jen luvs reviews is a clear example) have too many double standards, and now that everyone is on the jefree star train, they are ok with reviewing hid stuff while they refuse to showcase kat von d for example. I find it extremely hypocritical of them. They just support jefree star because everyone forgot about his shit and suddenly he’s cool. If suddenly kat von d gets cool again they’ll just forget all about their morals and get back on that train.

At the end, I stopped Purchasing from JS for the same reason I stopped purchasing from KVD lol. They both have a long history of attacking their followers and customers when they don’t agree with them, which I find very concerning. If you cannot handle customers, stay away from them. Even though customers are not always write, calling them out by name on your platform when you have millions of followers is never right

Jen rubs me the wrong way sometimes. Nothing serious, nothing to 'cancel' her over, but I don't trust her completely either. It's little things, nothing to invoke the wrath of cancel culture or something lile that. But I seldom watch her vids anymore
I'll never support him, couldn't pay me to. Everytime I turn around he's been so mean and backstabbing, just a repeat offender. There are so many other make-up lines that have integrity and excellent quality that do get my coins. How we treat each other matters and if you don't stand for something then you'll fall for anything!
I would love to see a duping the vive type video or series! I think it would fit your channel theme so very well and it would definitely inspire me to actually use what I have. Those two melts palettes are so beautiful, though!
I’m glad I didn’t buy the Tati palette! I don’t trust glitter on my eyes. I hate mattes with glitters and the colors are too similar for my taste. Also, I have those colors in my collection already so it wasn’t a good purchase for me personally.
I don't mind Tati. I got the palette since I don't have that many neutrals , and I'm really picky about my purchases, and objectively? It's really good. The sequins look really pretty on the eyes and I don't mind a little glitter fallout. It's a strange palette , sort of an acquired taste kind of thing. The more you use it the more you like it. Makeup tastes are different ofcourse, though
Lama Mer I was almost going to buy it, but told myself no because I wanted to buy another product more. Plus, I had the colors in my collection so it wouldn’t make sense for me. I’m happy that you enjoy the Tati palette! 😁I heard it’s good quality overall. I think how much we like a palette depends on our makeup style and if a product fills a void in our collection. I definitely have gone back to loving neutrals again in 2019, but I still use color. I feel most beautiful in barely there makeup, but I like to use pastels and colorful bright eyeshadow as artistic expression. 🌈
I love the outside but when they finally showed the inside i was like no way! The ugliest weirdest palette scheme. I didn’t like it at all. No way id ever buy it!
Tati was ok being friends with a racist because he was always nice to her so she just straight up sucks as a person. Mercury Retrograde is a beautiful palette, I’m quite glad I bought it. And UD Honey’s quality is so good, I wish all the others were as good. All the Norvina palettes looked like a mess. I’m glad I never got sucked into Natasha Denona and Pat McGrath. I refuse to pay those prices.
Do you have the Naked Heat palette from UD? If so, how would you compare that to the Honey? Or any other of the UD Naked palettes if you have those- just curious!

I like the Naked Heat mattes better than the the Honey ones, which seem to fade after a few hours, nevertheless the shimmers in the Honey palette are stunning, especially gold and honey, and I also like the Honey palette color range better than the Heat one. I had a few doubts about picking up the Honey palette, so I decided to buy it only when it would be on sale and that's what I did. Now I'm happy with my decision. I also own Naked, Naked2, Naked3 and Naked reloaded. Matte colors are the best in these palettes, but I'm not happy anymore with the original Naked, because of its color story. I like the Naked Reloaded very much for both mattes and shimmers, except for that greysh shimmery eyeshadow (I don't remember its name) which always ends up crumbling in a mess
@@shadowsmoked88 I have all the Naked palettes except Reloaded and Naked 2. I find Honey is a vast improvement in the formula. I love Heat but if I apply it in the morning, it's gone by late afternoon. The dark colours are patchy and just don't have staying power. Honey is smooth and buttery (I know people hate that word but it fits here), very blendable and has great lasting power.
can you do a video on products that didn’t age well? the most disappointing thing is when i buy something(like liquid shadows, for example) and it doesn’t last or the quality changes or it develops hardpan too quickly.
I loved what you said about how if someone compliments your eye look, and asks what's in your eyes, they aren't going to be disappointed by your answer. Weirdly enough, my looks that get any compliments at all are always colourpop palettes. Works for me lol.

I only purchased 3 palettes this year. The Tati palette, Pat McGrath bronze seduction, and Charlotte Tillbury vintage vamp. Love them, and they are all I wear

I agree. I have two obsessions, makeup & paper crafting, of which I do not need anymore of. I’m actively searching no buy/low buy content. Elle does help to reinforce my stance on not buying in 2020.
I have never liked any of the ABH palettes either until the 3 Norvina Pro Pigment palettes - might just be me but the formula is so vibrant and seems totally different than regular ABH formula...enjoying your channel so much!

I love ABH shadows. I actually find their mattes to be really good! I've never had issues even with the subculture palette. And I haven't hit pan on any of them and use them quite a bit! I guess I'm not as heavy handed as others. But I totally agree with you on Tati. I don't trust her and would never support her. But her shadows didn't look interesting to me.
No to anything Tati. I kinda liked her channel pre Emily video. LOL Easy unsub after that and her other drama was atrocious and handled so very poorly, yikes. I will probably end up getting the Smoke Show before the new year. I have a few Anastasia palettes, but haven't purchased any in a good while. With you tube it's a lot easier to pass on palettes, and the fact I'm bursting at the seams with palettes already.
skylilly1 it was never anything to hurt Emily. Makeup Rev is hit & miss. And they’re one if my fav brands. As a sub to Tati & Emily, I’d have been disappointed if Tati said lied.
I got the smoke show set when it released. It was my first experience with colourpop palettes (or SSS, those were included in the set as well). I am very happy with the palette. I am a self described grey queen. I love the cool tones and I think the Smoke show is MY “neutral” palette and perfect for day to day wear. The greys have different undertones (purple/neutral/blue) and there is a true black and white which is perfect for creating a gradient with greys. It was a great purchase for me and my collection. Oh also I purchased the Lime Crime Venus Immortalis palette shortly before Smoke Show was released. Those two often get compared due to “similar” color stories. The LC palette is horrid and was twice the price of CP Smoke Show. I wish I would’ve saved my money.
Melt is my new urban decay. I think they do pretty colorful palettes. It’s where I thought urban decay would be today but instead they got on the naked train and forgot to get off. Back in the day the naked palettes were more companions to add some neutrals to go with all the bright fun but sadly they took over. Loved this! Also loved your vibe dupe for melt and you did say it correctly!
I’m glad I haven’t bought any Anastasia palettes either because it’s powdery and you’ll hit pan really fast. I’d still like that kvd palette on sale because I can’t afford $49 but I certainly don’t need it. I have an old flower beauty gray quad and it’s a great dupe for the smoke show. Tati is a grown woman but doesn’t handle things well. Many brand owners keep using social media to call people out and it’s just not professional imo.
I bought subculture almost two years ago and it was my only palette for almost a year and still haven’t pan any shade. I have 9 ABH palettes right now and they’re extremely pigmented so you can go light handed with em. Not my favorite formula but it’s definitely not that easy to pan.
I’m glad you mentioned you like the abh shimmer formula. I like the mattes but I agree that to me the shimmers stand out and I wish they added more shimmers in their palettes- especially subculture! I think cool toned eyeshadows actually would make your eyes stand out even more with your eye color! I feel the same with Tati I think she’s still a cool person but those two incidents seemed immature for someone like her! I do like her palette- I think the pink glitter shades are stand out shades! The viseart palette is so pretty but seems so expensive maybe when I’m rich!
I've been over Tati since she got on YT and accused JC for being a sexual predator. Those are serious unfounded allegations that can ruin someone's life. She looks 40 acts 16 and I'm tired of her and her drama.
I wish i had found and listened to you before. I would have saved a fortune! I do like the Abh formulas but I didn’t go for the Norvina Pro Palettes. I also didn’t go for the UD Honey palette either! I’m with you. I have so many golds smattered among many palettes so meh. Yes, we were on the same page in not buying the same palettes but for different reasons. 😉😊🎨 But I did purchase the Carli Bybel palette and the Norvina Vol 1 & 2 minis. Only of the palettes that you mentioned or alluded to. 😊😀 Love them.
Seriously agree on the Tati drama. It felt to me that she was willing to turn the other way on James Charles being inappropriate and creepy until she was mad about endorsements. That really bothered me and I do think she is smart enough to know what she's doing at all times with business and perception. I do still want to try the Melt eyeshadow formula though. But I know not to buy until I get more honest with myself about what colors I actually wear vs just what I find beautiful to look at.
I never wore orange eyeshadows until I got Tati’s palette. Something about the undertone of her orange is so flattering. Orange is one my favorite eyeshadow colors to incorporate now 🤗
I have about 40 palettes and still want to buy Tati’s palette. It’s the only one I want to buy this year. Otherwise I’m on a no n]buy for at least 6 months.
I agree with your no-buy choices. Have you seen the Berlin Underground palette by Nomad Cosmetics? It is so unique in neutral, grunge shades and nice texture.

You look just gorgeous today! I have noticed that while I LOVE my Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes, they do really age poorly. The Tati palette is an interesting concept, but I don't need it at all. I love the Colourpop monochrome palettes that have purchased, and I will probably purchase the Smoke Show palette.As for the Friends palette...I LOVE Peachy Queen, but as Angelica Nyqvsit says, "the rainbow has already been curtated!" LOL!
I'm interested in your thoughts on the Pat McGrath Star Wars. I thought they were poorly done. She could have done SO much with that concept and it felt like a thrown together mis match cash grab to me.
I love ABH shadows (based on the one Jackie Aina palette i own), i used some last night without a base and it blended like a dream, i usually use conceler but i was rushing to get ready. I have smoke show but Im a bit intimidated to use cool tone shadows but I do love their formula so i know ill eventually get to it
I'd be interested in watching some kind of a Duping the vibe of the palette video/series. I try to do that with my palettes as well. I have 10 palettes and so far those have been enough to dupe all the other palettes I've wanted. P.S. I agree with everything you said about the Jeffree x Shane palettes.
I Sooo agree about the muerte palette! I thought it was gorgeous and still do but realistically i will never wear those shades enough to justify the purchase.

Viseart giant palettes sound like a bad idea and are way too expensive for the average consumer. The mercury retrograde was very pretty but also skipped on it.
They’re like 250 to 300$? I feel like that’s a lot to invest compared to a 50$ palette that you’d use everyday. Unless you’re a makeup artist doing very avante garde looks, when are going to use those bold colors on the daily?
Carlie Morgan the average makeup consumer is in their early to mid twenties, I don’t know that many 20 yr olds (especially in this massive debt climate) that can afford to drop almost hundreds on one makeup item. I might be wrong tho.

Either way, as someone who could afford $150-175 a palette I still wouldn’t because I don’t think it’s worth that much to me and I still think it’s too expensive for the average consumer who casually does makeup. Carlie Morgan that’s great and I’m happy you enjoy it. It’s true that they market them for consumers but as I said I don’t find them to be worth it for the price. I do go back and forth with wanting to get a ND and PM palette (most because of the allure of having one and the nice packaging) but the viseart palettes again just turn me off. Especially the last volume as it’s not practical. Like, I love wearing blue and purple eyeshadow and I only wear them on weekends since I can’t wear that to my super conservative office job. For me it’s a bad idea to spend that much money on something that doesn’t get daily use.

I was the opposite, LOL! As someone who has never been a big fan of gold eyeshadow (on me personally), something about it appealed to me. For some reason, the gold tones seem to work on me, whereas other golds I've tried don't...

Kat and Haley work very hard to collect all the information for weekly releases and all the details. if they happened to receive pr from shane doesn't mean it's something bad.
Beauty News is definitely not a drama channel and Shane sent them the palette for a Makeup Breakup segment because he loves that series on their channel. Nothing weird or weird "relationship" whatsoever with them going on.
Makeup Revolution duped the KVD palette if you're still interested or like their formula. Also....I will be shocked if KVD is still in sephora in 2021 lol, as many brands I've seen hit the door as soon as the first quarter in sales did poorly, I'm already surprised that she's still there. Ain't no way she's making sephora enough to sustain that aisle and advertising. The "sale" page and TJ max stores are filled up with her stuff....and i don't see any influencers promoting new releases....she had her chance to redeem, but instead publicly assured her stance. That was the end.

Tons and tons of people on UA-cam said the EXACT same thing about the Emily palette. Tati got attacked because she is a large UA-camr. Nobody should be afraid to be honest about their thoughts.
I quit watching her after her perfectly timed James Charles fiasco then conveniently gained millions and released a new vitamin. I feel shes extremely narcissistic. The channel "without a crystal ball" has great videos with facts about her. She was then promptly sent a "cease and desist" letter threatening to sue. A few youtubers who spoke out saying she was wrong for what she did got copy write and C&D letters.

Still to this day, it's the one and only time I've ever seen her put a shimmer in her crease and she chose strange colors. Many got that vibe. She later said she was cramping and not feeling well so that could be part of it as well.

I will say that the Norvina palettes have a totally different formula from normal ABH. They remind me a lot more of when Too Faced is really good. More silky than velvety.
That melt Cosmetics palette is beautiful it was a mistake not buying it I have that palette in the performance is beautiful the colors are amazing and melts formula is beyond reproach
I don’t like the ABH formula either! Except for me the worst is the shimmers! I hate their shimmers. I can get the mattes to work ok. I’ve given away most of my ABH palettes because I got so sick of trying to make them work.
I have 2 very popular ABH palettes and never use either. Maybe the issue is also for me that I don’t do well with the formula even though I never realized that. It took me a stupidly long time (and a load of money) to figure out what eyeshadows I like and use.
Tati didn’t attack Kiki. Kiki put that video out using clips of Tati crying to make fun of her and those were of her crying because she couldn’t get pregnant. Kiki hit below the belt. I was glad tati have an honest review as it’s not just Emily’s palette as it’s also MUR and they are hit & miss. My Emily palette had mildew on the bottom shade. Ulta exchanged it. And as far as James goes, she was his mentor and leg stuff slide since they were so close and had finally had enough and blew up. Tati’s palette is really really good.

Oh my goodness! I didn't even know there was a Friends palette. I'm so glad I didn't know, because I would have bought it and not used it. My husband and I are the world's biggest Friends fans. We play all 10 seasons in order and then we watch all 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory in order(we know everything there is to know about that show too lol), and then go back to Friends. We know every bit of trivia about the show lol. I know that not only do I not wear pretty much ANY of the colors in that palette, I also know that those colors have almost nothing to do with that show. With the exception of a few of Phoebe's outfits, those colors were not in style back then. I already have a black sweatshirt with the word "Pivot" on it over a couch, printed in the colors and style of the Friends logo. It's the kind of memorabilia that only true Friends fans get lol.
I considered buying the Conspiracy palette when I first saw it but, as with most things, I slept on it because I don't want to spend money impulsively. I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't use it much because it's ugly. I did end up buying the Tati palette and do use it regularly. I might not get much use out of the glitter (used one once) but am getting a lot of use out of the rest of it. I think, at the end of the day, it's good to sleep on purchases and not fall for the FOMO.

I watched the first few Shane and J* episodes and was sucked in by their friendship and the sob story that they tried to depict. It’s rare that I react that way to Influencer stuff. I planned to get the palettes, but then pulled my head out of my ass and realized it was just a giant drawn out commercial. Neither of those people give a shit about me or how I feel about their friendship and boo hoo Shane could be more of a millionaire but nobody showed him how. They kept talking about how hard he worked on it, but that didn’t really come through for me in the series. It seemed more like he just came up with names and then J* already had some colors ready to go.
I hate the controversy palette! But I falled in love with the 2 yellow of the year honey UD and honey Colorpop, I started to use the UD and I love it really, for me it s the perfect palette to travel but I add the Dior rosy canvas to have a little more pink, for my next trip I will bring the dark Colorpop, I m blond with brown eyes so no problem... But I payed the real UD half price! Also the cherry... I don't like the other palettes that you show... Sorry for my English I'm French
I feel the same way about drama surrounding anything, girl! A palette I’m debating is jeffree’s highlighter palette based on Alaska. Buuuut I know all the drama surrounding him and I’m not even sure if the highlighters are worth it 🤷♀️ I’m already overwhelmed with the amount of palettes I have at the moment though haha
I was never interested in the Tati palette. I was only interested in the green shade on the Conspiracy palette but once it was taken out, I was no longer interested.
I love Jeffree Star products because they perform really good but I didn't buy the controversy one either because it had maybe 3 colors in it that I would use.So many people buy mystery boxes and new releases and certain brands just for the name on it and I don't understand why???I won't throw my money away on stuff I cannot use even if I could afford it.I would rather just pay for the colors I know I will wear instead of trying to throw my money away just because it is the it thing at the time💟
I really don’t like the Anastasia eyeshadow formula either. They’re patchy, hard to blend, and lackluster. I’ve used different eyeshadow primers, synthetic and natural hair brushes, set my shadow base, left it tacky. I just don’t like it. I never understood the hype and I’m so glad I don’t own any Anastasia shadows anymore. Also I believe Hannah’s last name is pronounced Pp- OOOH- st -en. Like a light post.

I can't tell if my soft glam just got old and doesn't perform that well anymore (although it's just a bit over a year old) or I have been blind and it's never performed well. But for some reason I love this palette so much, I won't ever get rid of it. I've recently purchased modern renaissance and it performs much better than soft glam, I think ABH formula might just really be expiring very fast
Manon Lescaut i work at Sephora and we get nearly every new ABH release and I haven’t liked any of them, even with their formula being brand new and fresh. The only one I liked enough to keep was the Jackie Aina one. I just think they are always dry!

I'll never support him, couldn't pay me to. Everytime I turn around he's been so mean and backstabbing, just a repeat offender. There are so many other make-up lines that have integrity and excellent quality that do get my coins. How we treat each other matters and if you don't stand for something then you'll fall for anything!

I’m glad I didn’t buy the Tati palette! I don’t trust glitter on my eyes. I hate mattes with glitters and the colors are too similar for my taste. Also, I have those colors in my collection already so it wasn’t a good purchase for me personally.
I don't mind Tati. I got the palette since I don't have that many neutrals , and I'm really picky about my purchases, and objectively? It's really good. The sequins look really pretty on the eyes and I don't mind a little glitter fallout. It's a strange palette , sort of an acquired taste kind of thing. The more you use it the more you like it. Makeup tastes are different ofcourse, though
Lama Mer I was almost going to buy it, but told myself no because I wanted to buy another product more. Plus, I had the colors in my collection so it wouldn’t make sense for me. I’m happy that you enjoy the Tati palette! 😁I heard it’s good quality overall. I think how much we like a palette depends on our makeup style and if a product fills a void in our collection. I definitely have gone back to loving neutrals
again in 2019, but I still use color. I feel most beautiful in barely there makeup, but I like to use pastels and colorful bright eyeshadow as artistic expression. 🌈

I like the Naked Heat mattes better than the the Honey ones, which seem to fade after a few hours, nevertheless the shimmers in the Honey palette are stunning, especially gold and honey, and I also like the Honey palette color range better than the Heat one. I had a few doubts about picking up the Honey palette, so I decided to buy it only when it would be on sale and that's what I did. Now I'm happy with my decision.
I also own Naked, Naked2, Naked3 and Naked reloaded. Matte colors are the best in these palettes, but I'm not happy anymore with the original Naked, because of its color story. I like the Naked Reloaded very much for both mattes and shimmers, except for that greysh shimmery eyeshadow (I don't remember its name) which always ends up crumbling in a mess
@@shadowsmoked88 I have all the Naked palettes except Reloaded and Naked 2. I find Honey is a vast improvement in the formula. I love Heat but if I apply it in the morning, it's gone by late afternoon. The dark colours are patchy and just don't have staying power. Honey is smooth and buttery (I know people hate that word but it fits here), very blendable and has great lasting power.

I have never liked any of the ABH palettes either until the 3 Norvina Pro Pigment palettes - might just be me but the formula is so vibrant and seems totally different than regular ABH formula...enjoying your channel so much!

I love ABH shadows. I actually find their mattes to be really good! I've never had issues even with the subculture palette. And I haven't hit pan on any of them and use them quite a bit! I guess I'm not as heavy handed as others. But I totally agree with you on Tati. I don't trust her and would never support her. But her shadows didn't look interesting to me.
Subculture is one of the ABH palettes I have and I like it! But it's definitely the colours I like more than the formula.

I will probably end up getting the Smoke Show before the new year. I have a few Anastasia palettes, but haven't purchased any in a good while. With you tube it's a lot easier to pass on palettes, and the fact I'm bursting at the seams with palettes already.
skylilly1 it was never anything to hurt Emily. Makeup Rev is hit & miss. And they’re one if my fav brands. As a sub to Tati & Emily, I’d have been disappointed if Tati said lied.
It’s definitely easier to pass on palettes now that I know how long it takes to pan one. I’m probably not going to buy any for another year or two.

I got the smoke show set when it released. It was my first experience with colourpop palettes (or SSS, those were included in the set as well). I am very happy with the palette. I am a self described grey queen. I love the cool tones and I think the Smoke show is MY “neutral” palette and perfect for day to day wear. The greys have different undertones (purple/neutral/blue) and there is a true black and white which is perfect for creating a gradient with greys. It was a great purchase for me and my collection.
Oh also I purchased the Lime Crime Venus Immortalis palette shortly before Smoke Show was released. Those two often get compared due to “similar” color stories. The LC palette is horrid and was twice the price of CP Smoke Show. I wish I would’ve saved my money.
I like these videos. They help to reaffirm my resolve to not buy as much anymore.
Melt is my new urban decay. I think they do pretty colorful palettes. It’s where I thought urban decay would be today but instead they got on the naked train and forgot to get off. Back in the day the naked palettes were more companions to add some neutrals to go with all the bright fun but sadly they took over.

I’m glad I haven’t bought any Anastasia palettes either because it’s powdery and you’ll hit pan really fast. I’d still like that kvd palette on sale because I can’t afford $49 but I certainly don’t need it. I have an old flower beauty gray quad and it’s a great dupe for the smoke show. Tati is a grown woman but doesn’t handle things well. Many brand owners keep using social media to call people out and it’s just not professional imo.

I bought subculture almost two years ago and it was my only palette for almost a year and still haven’t pan any shade. I have 9 ABH palettes right now and they’re extremely pigmented so you can go light handed with em. Not my favorite formula but it’s definitely not that easy to pan.
Fati Machrou I’ve panned a abh palette in less than 6 months. You don’t get a lot of product in the pan and they’re powdery.
I’m glad you mentioned you like the abh shimmer formula. I like the mattes but I agree that to me the shimmers stand out and I wish they added more shimmers in their palettes- especially subculture! I think cool toned eyeshadows actually would make your eyes stand out even more with your eye color! I feel the same with Tati I think she’s still a cool person but those two incidents seemed immature for someone like her! I do like her palette- I think the pink glitter shades are stand out shades! The viseart palette is so pretty but seems so expensive maybe when I’m rich!

Seriously agree on the Tati drama. It felt to me that she was willing to turn the other way on James Charles being inappropriate and creepy until she was mad about endorsements. That really bothered me and I do think she is smart enough to know what she's doing at all times with business and perception. I do still want to try the Melt eyeshadow formula though. But I know not to buy until I get more honest with myself about what colors I actually wear vs just what I find beautiful to look at.

I never wore orange eyeshadows until I got Tati’s palette. Something about the undertone of her orange is so flattering. Orange is one my favorite eyeshadow colors to incorporate now 🤗

You look just gorgeous today! I have noticed that while I LOVE my Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes, they do really age poorly. The Tati palette is an interesting concept, but I don't need it at all. I love the Colourpop monochrome palettes that have purchased, and I will probably purchase the Smoke Show palette.As for the Friends palette...I LOVE Peachy Queen, but as Angelica Nyqvsit says, "the rainbow has already been curtated!" LOL!

I really like the ABH singles, but HATE the palette formula. I have gotten rid of all mine except the Soft Glam... and i've only used it twice.
I love ABH shadows (based on the one Jackie Aina palette i own), i used some last night without a base and it blended like a dream, i usually use conceler but i was rushing to get ready. I have smoke show but Im a bit intimidated to use cool tone shadows but I do love their formula so i know ill eventually get to it
I'd be interested in watching some kind of a Duping the vibe of the palette video/series. I try to do that with my palettes as well. I have 10 palettes and so far those have been enough to dupe all the other palettes I've wanted.

Since I have the Uh Huh Honey palette from Colourpop, I am not purchasing Naked Honey yet. I need to use up more of my Colourpop or finish it before I go spend $54 on a palette. Not a moment sooner :)

Viseart giant palettes sound like a bad idea and are way too expensive for the average consumer. The mercury retrograde was very pretty but also skipped on it.
They’re like 250 to 300$? I feel like that’s a lot to invest compared to a 50$ palette that you’d use everyday. Unless you’re a makeup artist doing very avante garde looks, when are going to use those bold colors on the daily?
Carlie Morgan the average makeup consumer is in their early to mid twenties, I don’t know that many 20 yr olds (especially in this massive debt climate) that can afford to drop almost hundreds on one makeup item. I might be wrong tho.

Either way, as someone who could afford $150-175 a palette I still wouldn’t because I don’t think it’s worth that much to me and I still think it’s too expensive for the average consumer who casually does makeup. Carlie Morgan that’s great and I’m happy you enjoy it. It’s true that they market them for consumers but as I said I don’t find them to be worth it for the price. I do go back and forth with wanting to get a ND and PM palette (most because of the allure of having one and the nice packaging) but the viseart palettes again just turn me off. Especially the last volume as it’s not practical. Like, I love wearing blue and purple eyeshadow and I only wear them on weekends since I can’t wear that to my super conservative office job. For me it’s a bad idea to spend that much money on something that doesn’t get daily use.
Carlie Morgan the heaviest makeup buyers are 18-24 yr olds. Middle aged women use makeup more frequently but they aren’t the demographic that buys it the most. And the demographic of middle class consumers purchasing makeup are on the rise but the late teens to mid twenties, as well as minorities make up the people who buy it the most.

not sure if this is relevant but Hispanic and African American women by faaaar outspend their white counterparts multiple times over when it comes to makeup and the beauty industry in general. And on a macro level, if you’re looking at income disparities between groups of people, what I’ve seen says that for the people who’re actually buying the most makeup I don’t think it’s accurate to say the average makeup consumer can afford to pay $130-$200+ for a single palette.

Beauty News is more than a drama channel. Kat and Haley work very hard to collect all the information for weekly releases and all the details. if they happened to receive pr from shane doesn't mean it's something bad.
Beauty News is definitely not a drama channel and Shane sent them the palette for a Makeup Breakup segment because he loves that series on their channel. Nothing weird or weird "relationship" whatsoever with them going on.

Also....I will be shocked if KVD is still in sephora in 2021 lol, as many brands I've seen hit the door as soon as the first quarter in sales did poorly, I'm already surprised that she's still there. Ain't no way she's making sephora enough to sustain that aisle and advertising. The "sale" page and TJ max stores are filled up with her stuff....and i don't see any influencers promoting new releases....she had her chance to redeem, but instead publicly assured her stance. That was the end.

Tati was an easy pass for me. After story with Emily Noel, I did not watch here. And I am not interested in here brand period.
You're mad about her being honest about a low quality palette? I love Emily, but after testing her palette, I thought it was bad quality and not super great colors.
Tons and tons of people on UA-cam said the EXACT same thing about the Emily palette. Tati got attacked because she is a large UA-camr. Nobody should be afraid to be honest about their thoughts.
I quit watching her after her perfectly timed James Charles fiasco then conveniently gained millions and released a new vitamin. I feel shes extremely narcissistic. The channel "without a crystal ball" has great videos with facts about her. She was then promptly sent a "cease and desist" letter threatening to sue. A few youtubers who spoke out saying she was wrong for what she did got copy write and C&D letters.

Still to this day, it's the one and only time I've ever seen her put a shimmer in her crease and she chose strange colors. Many got that vibe. She later said she was cramping and not feeling well so that could be part of it as well.

I will say that the Norvina palettes have a totally different formula from normal ABH. They remind me a lot more of when Too Faced is really good. More silky than velvety.

I don’t like the ABH formula either! Except for me the worst is the shimmers! I hate their shimmers. I can get the mattes to work ok. I’ve given away most of my ABH palettes because I got so sick of trying to make them work.
I have 2 very popular ABH palettes and never use either. Maybe the issue is also for me that I don’t do well with the formula even though I never realized that. It took me a stupidly long time (and a load of money) to figure out what eyeshadows I like and use.
Tati didn’t attack Kiki. Kiki put that video out using clips of Tati crying to make fun of her and those were of her crying because she couldn’t get pregnant. Kiki hit below the belt. I was glad tati have an honest review as it’s not just Emily’s palette as it’s also MUR and they are hit & miss. My Emily palette had mildew on the bottom shade. Ulta exchanged it. And as far as James goes, she was his mentor and leg stuff slide since they were so close and had finally had enough and blew up. Tati’s palette is really really good.

Had to comment because a) the video resonated with me as to why you didn't buy these palettes and b) everything I am uncomfortable with concerning Tati you spoke about.
Oh my goodness! I didn't even know there was a Friends palette. I'm so glad I didn't know, because I would have bought it and not used it. My husband and I are the world's biggest Friends fans. We play all 10 seasons in order and then we watch all 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory in order(we know everything there is to know about that show too lol), and then go back to Friends. We know every bit of trivia about the show lol. I know that not only do I not wear pretty much ANY of the colors in that palette, I also know that those colors have almost nothing to do with that show. With the exception of a few of Phoebe's outfits, those colors were not in style back then. I already have a black sweatshirt with the word "Pivot" on it over a couch, printed in the colors and style of the Friends logo. It's the kind of memorabilia that only true Friends fans get lol.

I considered buying the Conspiracy palette when I first saw it but, as with most things, I slept on it because I don't want to spend money impulsively. I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't use it much because it's ugly. I did end up buying the Tati palette and do use it regularly. I might not get much use out of the glitter (used one once) but am getting a lot of use out of the rest of it. I think, at the end of the day, it's good to sleep on purchases and not fall for the FOMO.
I love these types of videos. Even though we have different opinions on some things, I respect your opinion and your respect mine. I like that you share your opinions.

I watched the first few Shane and J* episodes and was sucked in by their friendship and the sob story that they tried to depict. It’s rare that I react that way to Influencer stuff. I planned to get the palettes, but then pulled my head out of my ass and realized it was just a giant drawn out commercial. Neither of those people give a shit about me or how I feel about their friendship and boo hoo Shane could be more of a millionaire but nobody showed him how. They kept talking about how hard he worked on it, but that didn’t really come through for me in the series. It seemed more like he just came up with names and then J* already had some colors ready to go.
I hate the controversy palette! But I falled in love with the 2 yellow of the year honey UD and honey Colorpop, I started to use the UD and I love it really, for me it s the perfect palette to travel but I add the Dior rosy canvas to have a little more pink, for my next trip I will bring the dark Colorpop, I m blond with brown eyes so no problem... But I payed the real UD half price! Also the cherry... I don't like the other palettes that you show...

I think the Jackie Aina ABH palette is a superior formula to the other ABH formulas, I think you wouldn’t be disappointed if you gave it a try

A palette I’m debating is jeffree’s highlighter palette based on Alaska. Buuuut I know all the drama surrounding him and I’m not even sure if the highlighters are worth it 🤷♀️

The controversy palette is hideous.
I was never interested in the Tati palette. I was only interested in the green shade on the Conspiracy palette but once it was taken out, I was no longer interested.
I love Jeffree Star products because they perform really good but I didn't buy the controversy one either because it had maybe 3 colors in it that I would use.So many people buy mystery boxes and new releases and certain brands just for the name on it and I don't understand why???I won't throw my money away on stuff I cannot use even if I could afford it.I would rather just pay for the colors I know I will wear instead of trying to throw my money away just because it is the it thing at the time💟

I really don’t like the Anastasia eyeshadow formula either. They’re patchy, hard to blend, and lackluster. I’ve used different eyeshadow primers, synthetic and natural hair brushes, set my shadow base, left it tacky. I just don’t like it. I never understood the hype and I’m so glad I don’t own any Anastasia shadows anymore.
Also I believe Hannah’s last name is pronounced Pp- OOOH- st -en. Like a light post.
I seriously thought I was the only person on the planet who didnt like the ABH formula. The only palette I've kept is Subculture, oddly enough. I'm not sure why I cant declutter it.

I can't tell if my soft glam just got old and doesn't perform that well anymore (although it's just a bit over a year old) or I have been blind and it's never performed well. But for some reason I love this palette so much, I won't ever get rid of it. I've recently purchased modern renaissance and it performs much better than soft glam, I think ABH formula might just really be expiring very fast
Manon Lescaut i work at Sephora and we get nearly every new ABH release and I haven’t liked any of them, even with their formula being brand new and fresh. The only one I liked enough to keep was the Jackie Aina one. I just think they are always dry!
