Yana Y. Yes it’s one of the best palettes that launched this year I’m not very impressed with the Carly byble palette I never reach for it I need to give it to someone that will actually use it.
I'd have to agree with abh palette and also tatis were the best of 2019. Shane Dawson's was one that broke every record but I don't care for all the wild colors. He and Jeffree have a much younger following than myself. I'm 42. I'm guessing their demo is age 18 to 25. Jeffree would tap into a CD while new audience if he just released a nude palette.
I really wanted to try your 1st persona. Still do but I didnt see it anywhere. Everyone raved about it. I have only recently been a Mandy sub but her "looks" videos have caused me to buy palettes I never would have bought like the ABH Riviera palette. I never thought I would buy a bright palette like that but the use of the white made it wearable. I have never seen persona products in person and now with stores closed it's made it worse. The funds from not working has made it worse too but your 1st palette is on my list that i hope to buy somewhere. My luck is when i finally have the funds the product is no longer available. :(
I appreciate that you research before you buy! I will sit on something for at least a month or two before I spend my hard-earned beauty budget on it. Yesssss eyeshadow ranking is the video we've been waiting for! I especially appreciate how you describe the pros and cons of a palette and why you like/don't like it, but why someone else may like it. It takes a lot more effort and talent to do that than others who simply say 'I love this a lot, it's so great'. So thanks for putting in that effort! I finally got my hands on Identity 1 & 2 and, after Born to Run (which was new to me in 2019), those have been my favorite palettes of the year! I agree about the Elf New Classics - it's a great palette but I'm not drawn to using it as much as others - same with Douce.

Will just have to wait on the Huda minis and the ND Sunrise palettes, but they look amazing. Loved this video , and that baby at the end :). For some reason ... I have 10 eyeshadow palette now, plus 8 eyeshadow sticks lol. My latest love is a old HG , my Comfort Zone palette. It's a decent color dupe for a ABH Mario palette. That palette to me is almost perfection
I agree. The Jackie Aina palette is incredible and my #1 this year too. I was afraid of it at first thinking that the colors would be too bold. Though, once they went on the eye, I was thrilled with their effects. It is a very versatile palette.

I’m like you-I bought so many palettes this year. It is my favorite makeup item, and while I do want to slow down in 2020, I am happy with every one of my purchases. Even if there were a lot, I researched them, no impulse buys, and I truly enjoy them. I think my favorite has to be the Colourpop So Jaded palette, because the color story is like nothing else I own and it is just so versatile. But this is also the year I got into Natasha Denona, so the Star palette, my dream ND palette, is tied for the top spot. It is just so understated and gorgeous, and feels luxury for those reasons. It’s the palette that helped me realize I prefer unique textures over bold colors, and that sometimes a more sheer shimmer or a wash of bold color works better for me than a foiled metallic or an opaque bright shadow. I think this can be a fun way to think about my palettes-what did they help me learn, either about technique, about my preferences, etc.? I feel like if I can answer those questions, then the palette has contributed something to my collection. Happy New Year! Because of your 7 looks video I got Riviera and you’re right about the use of the matte white. Please do multiple looks with Soft Glam. I don’t care if it’s not new; it’s my favorite palette in half a century of playing with makeup. 😅

Great video! I love the Jackie Aina palette!! I think I have one ColourPop palette. They have an incredible formulation but the constant releases sends me in the opposite direction, it’s just overwhelming for me. I also love the Tati palette. I can’t wait to see what she releases next!! I’m excited for your January series!!!

I love the Elf New Classics palette! The third shade on the first row is beautiful on the lid and blown into the crease! It's my in in a hurry eye look! I think the shade is Truffle!
Such a fun video! I think my favorite palette this year is Tati's. I got the Jackie Aina ABH palette in an Ulta points reward spree this fall and I haven't used it yet. It's so pretty, but I purchased way too many palettes this fall. I need to slow it down and use what I have in 2020. I'm going to give it a try soon and review it on my blog. Hi, Lorena! I am looking into the Tati palette. I am a huge fan of Tati, but I have very fair skin, and even the brown is a bit intimidating for me. I don't want to just buy something because it's Tati, but I would also love something that Tati has created. The palette would be a big splurge for me, so, could you give me your opinion? Thanks!
@@lilap8868 Hi Lila! I'm fair as well. The shades are pretty rich and pigmented. They do blend out really nicely, though. If the darker brown is too deep for you, the lighter one, Soothe is nice. It comes off as a medium brown on me. It is a splurge, though. If you don't think the shades are right for you, you might want to pass on this one. She does have something new launching on January 10th (I think) and I'm sure she will have more amazing products coming in 2020!

I don't own any Colourpop palettes, which ones are your favorites? I would love to get the So Jaded, because Kathleen is just one of my favorite UA-camrs. Unfortunately, I think Colourpop is coming out with too many palette's at once, and there are probably gems getting Sept under the rug. I wish they would slow down a bit.
I’m so so so IN LOVE with the Jackie Aina palette! I have it since it was launched and every time I use it, I fall in love again. In my opinion, was the best palette of the year and it’s a little bit sad that ABH didn’t work harder in it’s campaign. I think ABH has lost a great opportunity to position one of her best products in the market. I just adore it.
Was getting verrrrrry nervous at #3 when I hadnt seen any huda yet! Then my latest purchase made #2 and the only brand new release I've ever bought on release day landed at #1! Yayyyyy
I love the Magic Mini palette, too. It's so good! And I agree with you about Juvia's Place palette color stories--before I owned any I was concerned that I might get them and then never wear them because I wouldn't know what to do with them. After months of looking at them, I finally bought the Magic Mini, the Douce, and the Zulu because they were on a really good sale, and I have loved having them and using them. They have introduced me to more ways of wearing color, and they help me be creative. I never come away from a look created by any of my Juvia's Place palettes feeling just meh about it. I always am like, "YES! This looks so COOL." I now own The Saharan II, and my next purchases will probably be The Tribe and The Nomad. It was fun to see your ranked list! ColourPop So Jaded is still on my wishlist, and I am super excited to see what Tati comes out with next. I kind of wanted to get Textured Neutrals, and I might still get it once it's been out for long enough to actually go on sale, but I am itching to see her do more cool tones. The main reason I didn't get it is because I was only drawn to three of the six columns (the smokey one, the pinky one, and the cream one--I'm too lazy to look up all the names). I'd love it if she came out with palettes about half that size that had more narrow color stories but all the same finishes. I'm hoping she'll do some purples and some greens! I know she loves purple (and so do I!), so I've got my fingers crossed. :)

Hey, Mandy. I totally agree with you. The Jackie Ayna palette is goooorgeous. Pleeeease, do more looks for us. I never use the purples because I see them too purple or the tope, I think it is too dark and makes the look smokey. I loved this list! I start my year long no buy tomorrow but today I cashed in some Ulta points and bought the Jackie Aina palette. Making your #1, plus Sultry is my current favorite formula, tipped me over the edge. Justifying it since I won’t be acquiring any new palettes in 2020. I just bought the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk palette in the BF sale, and I got the Charlotte Tilbury starry eyes to hypnotise palette for Christmas, and I’m loving both, but the colors and textures in the Biba palette are perfect. I'm so happy to see you rank Focallure! It's quite unknown as a brand but their products are fabulous and affordable. Their older palettes like the Impressionism palettes pale in comparison to their newer ones like the Sunrise, Endless Possibilities palettes to name a few! Please try more of their products!

I'm with you on the Jackie Aina palette, it's my new favorite! Was worried it would be too intense on my fair skin, but it's amazing! All the shadows blend so effortlessly, I think the formula's even better than other ABH palettes :)
Hi, can I ask, if you have it, do you find the Soft Glam palette works on very fair skintone? I'm on the fence about buying it, worried I'll only use half the palette!
@@helencarter4902 Yes, the soft glam works very well on fair skin! I can comfortably use every single shade in the palette. As you long as you like warm tones I don't think you'll have an issue. I just go in with a light hand on a couple of the deepest shades, but I do that with any palette.

I think my fav palette from the year is the original norvina palette with the velvet packaging I got it a couple months ago and haven't put it down since it's much more versatile than I thought I'm in love. Also my soft glam I've fallen back in love with it. And Natasha denona sunrise and biba and mini nude all so easy to use and beautiful. I'm going on a no buy for 2020 so I'm excited to fall back in love with old goodies. Honestly I regret the Carli palette I only really love a few shades it's a bummer I thought I'd love it.

I have many of the palettes you listed. I haven’t used my Jackie Aina palette hardly at all. I’m going to get it out and play with it! I love eyeshadow so much. I’ve been trying to be more mindful and selective of what I buy because I have so much. Great video.

Oh Mandy, I've been trying, desperately, to get hold of the So Jaded palette. Being in the UK, we don't have ColourPop. My top pallettes this year will be: 3. Lime crime Venus XXL 2 pallette: very spring-like pallette; 2. ABH Carli Byble and Jackei Aina pallettes: loved them both so so much! 1. Christine Dominique Berries and Cream Pallette: this pallette was a discovery for me. The formula of the matte eye-shadow is just stunning! The shimmers are maybe not so bold, however they look so elegant. I loved it! I highly recommend you to try it , Mandy. And the only pallette that stood out for me but it came out in 2018 - was Born to Run pallette by UD. Thank you, Mandy, for the recommendation: it's very beautiful! Love,love, love it!!!!

I never thought I would buy a bright palette like that but the use of the white made it wearable. I have never seen persona products in person and now with stores closed it's made it worse. The funds from not working has made it worse too but your 1st palette is on my list that i hope to buy somewhere. My luck is when i finally have the funds the product is no longer available. :(

Yesssss eyeshadow ranking is the video we've been waiting for! I especially appreciate how you describe the pros and cons of a palette and why you like/don't like it, but why someone else may like it. It takes a lot more effort and talent to do that than others who simply say 'I love this a lot, it's so great'. So thanks for putting in that effort! I finally got my hands on Identity 1 & 2 and, after Born to Run (which was new to me in 2019), those have been my favorite palettes of the year! I agree about the Elf New Classics - it's a great palette but I'm not drawn to using it as much as others - same with Douce.

I agree. The Jackie Aina palette is incredible and my #1 this year too. I was afraid of it at first thinking that the colors would be too bold. Though, once they went on the eye, I was thrilled with their effects. It is a very versatile palette.

I’m like you-I bought so many palettes this year. It is my favorite makeup item, and while I do want to slow down in 2020, I am happy with every one of my purchases. Even if there were a lot, I researched them, no impulse buys, and I truly enjoy them. I think my favorite has to be the Colourpop So Jaded palette, because the color story is like nothing else I own and it is just so versatile. But this is also the year I got into Natasha Denona, so the Star palette, my dream ND palette, is tied for the top spot. It is just so understated and gorgeous, and feels luxury for those reasons. It’s the palette that helped me realize I prefer unique textures over bold colors, and that sometimes a more sheer shimmer or a wash of bold color works better for me than a foiled metallic or an opaque bright shadow. I think this can be a fun way to think about my palettes-what did they help me learn, either about technique, about my preferences, etc.? I feel like if I can answer those questions, then the palette has contributed something to my collection.

I don't want to just buy something because it's Tati, but I would also love something that Tati has created. The palette would be a big splurge for me, so, could you give me your opinion? Thanks!
@@lilap8868 Hi Lila! I'm fair as well. The shades are pretty rich and pigmented. They do blend out really nicely, though. If the darker brown is too deep for you, the lighter one, Soothe is nice. It comes off as a medium brown on me. It is a splurge, though. If you don't think the shades are right for you, you might want to pass on this one. She does have something new launching on January 10th (I think) and I'm sure she will have more amazing products coming in 2020!

I’m so so so IN LOVE with the Jackie Aina palette! I have it since it was launched and every time I use it, I fall in love again. In my opinion, was the best palette of the year and it’s a little bit sad that ABH didn’t work harder in it’s campaign. I think ABH has lost a great opportunity to position one of her best products in the market. I just adore it.

I love the Magic Mini palette, too. It's so good! And I agree with you about Juvia's Place palette color stories--before I owned any I was concerned that I might get them and then never wear them because I wouldn't know what to do with them. After months of looking at them, I finally bought the Magic Mini, the Douce, and the Zulu because they were on a really good sale, and I have loved having them and using them. They have introduced me to more ways of wearing color, and they help me be creative. I never come away from a look created by any of my Juvia's Place palettes feeling just meh about it. I always am like, "YES! This looks so COOL." I now own The Saharan II, and my next purchases will probably be The Tribe and The Nomad.
It was fun to see your ranked list! ColourPop So Jaded is still on my wishlist, and I am super excited to see what Tati comes out with next. I kind of wanted to get Textured Neutrals, and I might still get it once it's been out for long enough to actually go on sale, but I am itching to see her do more cool tones. The main reason I didn't get it is because I was only drawn to three of the six columns (the smokey one, the pinky one, and the cream one--I'm too lazy to look up all the names). I'd love it if she came out with palettes about half that size that had more narrow color stories but all the same finishes. I'm hoping she'll do some purples and some greens! I know she loves purple (and so do I!), so I've got my fingers crossed. :)

I never use the purples because I see them too purple or the tope, I think it is too dark and makes the look smokey. My favourite palette this year was the Natasha Denona Biba palette. I just bought the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk palette in the BF sale, and I got the Charlotte Tilbury starry eyes to hypnotise palette for Christmas, and I’m loving both, but the colors and textures in the Biba palette are perfect. I ordered the ND mini nude palette which should arrive today. I can’t stop buying eyeshadows!!! 😍

Their older palettes like the Impressionism palettes pale in comparison to their newer ones like the Sunrise, Endless Possibilities palettes to name a few! Please try more of their products!

I'm with you on the Jackie Aina palette, it's my new favorite! Was worried it would be too intense on my fair skin, but it's amazing! All the shadows blend so effortlessly, I think the formula's even better than other ABH palettes :)

@@helencarter4902 Yes, the soft glam works very well on fair skin! I can comfortably use every single shade in the palette. As you long as you like warm tones I don't think you'll have an issue. I just go in with a light hand on a couple of the deepest shades, but I do that with any palette.

I think my fav palette from the year is the original norvina palette with the velvet packaging I got it a couple months ago and haven't put it down since it's much more versatile than I thought I'm in love. Also my soft glam I've fallen back in love with it. And Natasha denona sunrise and biba and mini nude all so easy to use and beautiful. I'm going on a no buy for 2020 so I'm excited to fall back in love with old goodies. Honestly I regret the Carli palette I only really love a few shades it's a bummer I thought I'd love it.

Thank you for this amazing video. I love this Jackie Aina palette too, just amazing, super color story. The only colour I have a little trouble to use is the red one. Except this, I LOVE THIS PALETTE. I make lots of researchs before buying it and your videos and your opinion really helps me. I only have 5 palettes but this is clearly my favorite. The red works nice as liner with a basic neutral eye look.

I have many of the palettes you listed. I haven’t used my Jackie Aina palette hardly at all. I’m going to get it out and play with it! I love eyeshadow so much. I’ve been trying to be more mindful and selective of what I buy because I have so much. Great video.
I love the focallure sweet as honey palette and colourpops going coconuts for a less pricey options. I loved zoeva Melody palette, it's amazing. There are so many good palettes out there. So hard to choose. Loved this. You look stunning as usual 😍. Happy New years early 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉!!!

3. Lime crime Venus XXL 2 pallette: very spring-like pallette;
2. ABH Carli Byble and Jackei Aina pallettes: loved them both so so much!
1. Christine Dominique Berries and Cream Pallette: this pallette was a discovery for me. The formula of the matte eye-shadow is just stunning! The shimmers are maybe not so bold, however they look so elegant. I loved it! I highly recommend you to try it , Mandy.
And the only pallette that stood out for me but it came out in 2018 - was Born to Run pallette by UD. Thank you, Mandy, for the recommendation: it's very beautiful! Love,love, love it!!!!

Dior 647 Undress 5 color palette! I bought it on Mercari unused and less than half of the retail price. I can't stop staring at my eyes every time I use it!!! GORGEOUS! I love the Colour Pop Going Coconuts palette too!!! So excited for Nothing New in January!!!! Love that idea!!!
