    People in my area tend to bs about the condition of the vehicle. One lady said her car was dirty but not real bad. I looked at it and it made your detail in this video look spotless!

      had a quick valet for 50 euros. It was a Mini (the old one with 2 seats). That detail was far far far worse than the vehicle in this video. Candy stuck on the shifter, glue on the dashboard, dogpoo below the passenger seat, dog hair EVERYWHERE, stains on the seat that were beyond extracting. (i extracted those seats 4 times and gave up afterwards)

    When I first started I used to do these atleast once a week, now 3 years in - I dont like these jobs.

      Laura Martinez that’s what I’ve been doing however theres a sort of awkward unexpected feeling saying interior starts at X and ends up costing X. Most of my customers probably want to here the high number first and then me tell them it’s cheaper later on. Honestly I’m not too sure but I’m excited to see Luke’s opinion on this topic.

    Yup, there are many types of headlines, I think the best way is a foam degreaser. I enjoy tuff stuff. Its really efficient and effective. You pick up the dirt in tbe foam with your microfiber. If you do spray again, you will see less dirt and you wipe it way. You should try it. Its very uniqhue.

    Actually had one yesterday. A BMW 5 series, white paint, leased. Customer said they took it on a few road trips with "some" road grime and bugs and wanted an interior/exterior detail. I made the rookie mistake of, after explaining the expectations, over promising, because when I washed the car, the wall of shame hit me. The amount of bug, tar, grit, and grime always so bad that I was unable to do the interior in the allotted time frame as it take 2 hours alone to clay the car. That was after a chemical Decon after the wash. The exterior turned out spectacular but the job left a bad taste for me because I had to reset from my combo pricing to just the price for an ext detail

But I think he does the dirties parts first and later breeze through the rest of the detail but it depends of the condition of the car that's why he doesn't follow one patter for every detail.

    I've had a similar type of vehicle to tackle. I charge the same price no matter what and told the lady it would require multiples consultations to get the car completely "refurbished"(ties into the name of my business).
    Also I'm very new to detailing and didn't have all the equipment to get her vehicle in tip top shape. She gladly took my business and we have a second consultation. What do you think of this approach and profit model? I ended up making a long time customer, and she got a decently cleaned vehicle (carpet stains were almost impossible to remove with my current setup, still some discoloring). She avoided paying $300 one time, but I see myself collecting on that at least three times, which I'm ok with. It's meant to be affordable auto detailing targeted towards lower income earning individuals.

    "impossible carpeting", couldnt have said it better. i use the rotating vacuum attachment from a house upright vacuum on carpets like this.. it'll rotate the bristles over the carpet while sucking which is better than just using a wand rubbing over the carpet.

    • @alantolentino7072
      @alantolentino7072 4 роки тому +1

      Try to increase the distance that you’re using the steamer at to whatever you’re cleaning, I’m not sure what steamer you have or how you literally use it. But if you were to just tap the tripper like your spurting the steamer instead of holding down this could potentially help as well. Overall as well just don’t spend a lot of time in one area using it. Luke has said this in a couple of videos I’ve seen explaining the cautions of using steamers.
