The flip side of gentrification is putting everyone getting pushed out, as well as the homeless, in Meadowview. In order for some communities to gentrify, other communities have to take on those residents. Most Often those communities are black and brown and under resourced. That’s the other side to this. The only solution is BUY a house. I know too many people baying apartment rents that are twice my mortgage. If you rent you always be only a guest in your home. It can be taken away from you at the end of your lease.
The prices are very very misleading. There is an area, next to one of the nicest parks, a prestigious law school and a lively urban district, that is expensive. You can easily rent a larger house in oak park for ~1500.
You obviously ain't from Sacramento bruh out here there's every race Black, Mexicans, Asians, Whites Samoans/Tongans etc. all living in the same hood maybe not in Maryland but this is Northern Cali our hoods aren't all black it isn't a race issue here it's a money issue and white people especially from the Bay Area and Silicon Valley have more of it than people of color in Oak Park

Close to UC Davis what they consider "North Oak Park" near the Broadway triangle is nice but the rest of Oak Park is ratchet af still
