Another wonderful vlog. The boys are slowly becoming walking encyclopaedias. So good to see. These experiences are going to enrich their lives so much they’ll surely turn into wonderful adults. Pity Sarah couldn’t go inside the mosque. In Turkey they allow all visitors to go inside the mosques, not sure why they don’t allow that here in Pakistan. Anyway, continue to enjoy guys. Will eagerly await your next upload. By the way, please do upload some videos of your homeland if you can, we know how incredibly beautiful New Zealand is. I’m certainly going to visit sometime in future when am able to. God bless you all…
You guys should visit Multan also you would love there because there are some beautiful historical places to enjoy and Multan is 5th biggest city pakistan.
Greetings from Pakistan. Excellent vlog which was a complete package of learning and entertainment. The way the parents guide their kids and transfer the knowledge to them along with the response of the kids was simply incredible. Best wishes for the channel. With warm regards
Lahore Fort شاہی قلعہ Built 1566 Architectural style(s) Mughal, Indo-Islamic Owner Mughal Empire (1566-1761) Maratha Empire (1757-1759) Sikh Confederacy (1761-1799) Sikh Empire (1799-1849) British East India Company (1849-1858) British Empire (1858-1947) Federal Government of Pakistan (1947-present)
Actually , Lahore fort is much older , a mud structure with wooden stockade probably stood on this site in the B.C. era; and that was further fortified later , it was first mentioned in some detail in 1015 AD when the Afghan invader Mahmud of Ghazni attacked Lahore. The Mughals of course later developed and expanded it ; Akbar the Great gave it its present shape circa 1566 and later both Jahangir and Shah Jahan embellished it and beautified it. After the downfall of the Mughals the fort and the nearby Badshahi Mosque (built by Aurangzeb) suffered and declined under the Marhatas , Afghans and Sikhs , though the British after 1849 (annexation of the Punjab) fixed up the fort a bit and garrisoned it and handed the mosque back to the Muslims of Lahore. The mosque underwent some initial renovation in the 1930s and 1940s when Sir Sikandar Hayat Khan became the Premier of Punjab , he's buried right in front of the mosque , the other side from the poet Iqbal. Meanwhile , the fort was excavated also by the British resulting in several interesting archaeological finds. After 1947 both fort and mosque came under the government of independent Pakistan . They've recently undergone some further renovation.
Nice vlog guys 👍. Not complaining just concerned, your energy seemed a bit down today. Maybe you were just tired walking all day in the fort. Nevertheless an enjoyable vlog✌
