    Thanks for the video. Helped me to install my eibach's in a 2018. For the rear I was able to drop the subframe with the car on jack stands. Had to loosen all 4 and remove only one side at a time. The forward bolt partially blocked by the plastic I found you could put a socket on from the side then attach and extender from below to turn it with just a minimal of flex to the plastic. Then use a socket torx bit for the small bolts. If you don't have the torx socket it would probably be easier to take the plastic off. No need to remove it. Also the lower suspension arm has 2 bolts on the large arm (the one the spring sits in) and the third bolt on the small tubular arm that bolts in the middle can be left on and the spring will still come out.

      That’s why I love the Steeda springs. They only lower it about an inch. For me that’s perfect, and I’ve been going back and forth between black or gunmetal wheels. I think both would look good.

      Ik im a year late but i just did mine with H&R sport springs which drop the car between .75” to 1.25” and i have the stock 18” rims for my titanium awd and its fine. The fusion comes with 19 stock for the sport trim , the base model/lower trims have 17’s. 20’s are the aftermarket ones but even that isnt too large of an issue. Anything bigger is a little wack tho

    • @RvaJay
      @RvaJay  4 роки тому

      The pressure from the new spring pushing on the top hat/nut is enough to keep it in place while you tighten it. I used the Allen key in the first step because I compressed the spring.

    Why did he lower the subframe? Can you not disconnect the lower control arm from the knuckle and pry the LCA down? 🤔

    • @RvaJay
      @RvaJay  4 роки тому

      If I remember correctly, you have have to lower it because the springs sit in buckets, and you need the extra clearance to pull the stockers out. It’s also what steeds recommends

    • @davidhouk7454
      @davidhouk7454 4 роки тому +1

      Yep. I found out that you can only pry down the LCA so much and then it hits the subframe. Lowering the subframe is a have to.
