I upgraded from the 2400G to the R7 2700, and then to the 5600X and finally the 5600X3D with my PowerColor Fighter RX6800 overclocked to 2450MHz. AM4 is an awesome platform and is probably the best PC gaming decision I ever made in 2018.
It’s crazy how good AMD made this socket generation and it’s why I’m probably going to be on it for a little longer by getting a 5700X3D, how are you finding the 5600X3D? I would’ve got one but them being a Microcenter exclusive stopped that 😅
Why'd you bother going from a 5600x to a 5600x3d do you just like burning money? I mean if your going to burn your money at least add a couple cores make it actually substantial.
@@jordanderr6963 I built a new machine with the 5600X and the B550 motherboard and 16GB of memory I got with the MicroCenter combo. Only $160usd all together. And extra cores do nothing for gaming performance. L3 Cache is the key to gaming performance, not cores.
@@MrTitanFTW I have a MicroCenter 10 minutes from my house here in Houston. I picked up the combo deal for $160usd. 5600X3D, Asus B550 Tuf Gaming motherboard, and 2x8GB of 3200MHz memory. Was able to piece together a second machine with what I had laying around.
$160 USD for that??? No wonder you upgraded! You could've probably managed to sell the 5600X for around $100 at the time too, but fair play making a second system with what was left over haha, very lucky I must say so myself!
I am using the same configuration more than 2 years and I am still very satisfied. It is energy efficient and reletively powerfull. I am playing single player games 1440p high/ultra details +-75 fps
Last I checked, the RX 6800 was going for about 370 USD (480 CAD) here in Canada. It's easily one of the best value graphics card options available right now. Keep in mind also that the build quality of even the cheapest RX 6800s is often a lot higher than a lot of cards which are only 50-100 USD cheaper, because it was originally a high-end card. The 6800 XT and 7800 XT are also likely a good value, depending on the price you can find, and the 7700 XT has been as low as 350 USD, which is also a pretty good deal, though having less memory is definitely a drawback.
Yup, the value of this card is insane. Shocked more people haven't caught on especially with how well it does when undervolted and overclocked and how little power it sips from the wall even with default settings compared to other cards. I think the one big selling point for me would be AV1 encoding on the 7000 series, especially for people into livestreaming on Twitch or UA-cam, AV1 is supported and has much better image clarity than HEVC that the 6000 series has. I've found myself from time to time looking to possibly get a 7900 GRE but I'm very happy with the 6800 for now!
I may have gotten lucky with mine as the coil whine on my GPU isn't that bad at least for me anyways even with open back headphones. Undervolting your GPU and locking your framerate generally tends to help with that though. Optimum Tech released a video about 3 years ago going over some things you can do to reduce coil whine: ua-cam.com/video/GUzCXF3oMD0/v-deo.html
@@MrTitanFTW I'm surprised it's still in stock for such a competitive price in late 2024. I would have expected them to have sold out long before now at those prices.
Great video, cool to see result for stock and tuned systems. Wish to have more games tested. this setup should be great for competitive games, like COD, Delta Force, ect.
Really appreciate it thank you very much! I'd love to test more games on this setup, when I have more time I'm sure I'll come back and get more results for a second video perhaps.
I gave my little brother my 3070 TI and we built a pc system around it based on a 5600X and it’s a great combo. 3070 Ti and RX 6800 (non XT) are about even in graphics power. My current config is a 5800X and 4070 TI for reference.
Sounds great, the 3070 Ti was a lot more expensive at the time I got the RX 6800 + the extra VRAM won me over, although, I wouldn't mind Ray Tracing is something I would like to give a proper shot at, and NVIDIA excel in that + webcam effects like blurring my background when on call are something I actually quite liked when I had the RTX 2060.
Love the work Steve and Tim do! Making this video has made me respect them and others in the space so much more (Gamers Nexus, LTT, etc.) The amount of data you have to gather for each game, to then potentially re-testing a game if the data doesn't seem quite right is a painful process but it's key to make sure everything is accurate, and I'm sure it's the same for the likes of Hardware Unboxed and for that, massive respect has to be given to them, appreciate the compliment!
@@MarcABrown-tt1fp Hey Marc, thanks for the comment. I fully agree with you on the captions and it's actually something I'm working to amend in my future uploads. I find it's always good to try new things and if it doesn't work, then hey, I can always try something else, appreciate the constructive criticism nonetheless!
Got a 5700x3d($160) and MSI 6800XT Gaming X Trio($320) both with 1yr warranty for my AM4 system as I plan on staying till the release of AM6. This combo trade blows with an AM5 7600+ any of the 7800xt/4070/3080ti which would cost me like another $350-450 if I factor in new MB and RAM kits for basically the same performance.
I just bit the bullet a few moments ago and snagged a 5700X3D for €150 so I'm looking forward to that! I'm in the same boat as you with waiting until AM6 I think, unless something outstanding happens with AM5!
Hey thank you! I actually just snagged a 5700X3D the other day for €150/$160ish and waiting for it to come in. I'd definitely keep my eye on their price though as with the lacklustre performance from 9000 Series I feel like the 5700X3D might soon go up in price like the 5800X3D and 7800X3D, but I wish you well on your bargain hunt!
You might want to buy it sooner rather than later because they will definitely not go down to 100 bucks. The 5800x3d just skyrocketed in price and the 5700x3d will too. Just get it before you regret it.
I have the 6800 paired with an 5800x3d and am always surprised by what it can handle. I pretty exclusively play single player games, and my monitor is only 75hz anyways, so high refresh rates aren't what I'm aiming for - but had played Horizon Forbidden West all maxed out at 1440p when that released and never dipped below that refresh rate, very solid. Can even handle some raytracing titles with this combo (like Jedi Survivor, though the raytracing there is not as differential as some other titles like Cyberpunk). I *may* upgrade the GPU in a few years depending on what games come out and their hardware demands, don't feel the need to change platforms since at 1440p I'm within a 5-10% performance range of current AM5 platforms with the exception of raytracing; but don't feel raytracing is truly a big enough difference to spend money just to achieve that, right now I'm happy with what I have, still pretty much being able to play everything at the highest rasterized settings and still get 60+ fps. Also nice to see Ghost of Tsushima (which I hope to pick up in the future) also runs really well, but Nixxes usually always does a really great job on their PC ports.
That sounds amazing, I purchased a 5700X3D recently and am looking forward to that. I'd have ordered a 5800X3D but they've shot up in price since everyone is getting one haha. I'm the same with you on the raytracing part, sure it's nice, but I don't feel the need to splurge an extra few hundred quid to get a card capable of running it at a decent framerate, at least not now anyways, standard rasterisation performance is all I need for the moment!
WONDERFUL VIDEO! That must've been a lot of work and time invested into it, especially for a channel below 100 subs Btw, do you have plans on including the Power Consumption? It can even be the system as a whole through the wall with those "Power Meter Outlet" (unfortunately RDNA 2 GPU doesn't display the correct power consumption on software, so it has to be measure though something else =/)
That's very nice of you to say, thank you! Yeah this video took a lot of effort but I thoroughly enjoyed doing the testing. I was debating adding power consumption figures many times, and in fact I do have a smart socket somewhere in my house but just never plugged it into the wall 😂 I'm not home at the moment but when I do get a chance I'll plug it in and do a few tests and get back to you with numbers - I'd be interested in knowing what the numbers are myself!
@@MrTitanFTW Don't need to thank me, you did an awesome job But remember to not "overstress" yourself with a bunch of test every single time, only add the Power Consumption if you have time to do it! Anyway, I'll watch your "hardware" carrier with great interest 😄
Hey, I was meant to get back to you the other day but got a little distracted with life admin and making a new video. I just done a power consumption test there with PBO enabled along with the GPU overclocked and undervolted with a smart plug. I measured 110W idle (although I believe this is a little high due to my Memory Clock being locked on the GPU) I would say a more accurate figure is probably in the region of 50W idle, and I measured about 380W under full load when doing a benchmark of Cyberpunk 2077. I then tried the stability test available from OCCT and found the power consumption reach a maximum of 480W with an average of roughly 440W - 470W. Hope that's of help!
It's a great combo for sure, I'm in the same boat as you - but thinking I might get the 5700X3D over the 5800X3D, as they seem a little cheaper at the moment in the EU!
You're likely going to have to buy used. Amazon and Newegg are out. I bought mine in May for $309. I saw them last week for $459 on Amazon and I knew they were running out. I'm running it with 32 gig of DDR4 3600 and an RX 6800. It is pretty decent.
My e5-2690v4 handles my Rx 6800 just fine. Zero bottleneck in brand new games. And I'm overclocked. Cyberpunk 2077 runs like a dream unless I turn on RT/PT
That's fantastic, I've always been curious how XEON's do for Gaming PC's - watched many videos on how cheap some of them are and how widely available they are on AliExpress!
Hey John, thanks for the support I really appreciate it. I have a new video out shortly and planning on creating some more videos around PC Components quite soon, excited to have them uploaded in the coming weeks.
I have a 5800x clocked to 5.05 with PBO with a Msi 6800xt X Gaming trio clockedband undervolt to 2700 and 32gb 3600mhz memory clocked to 3733 with tight timings and memory matching infinity fabric. It works awesome for a 3440 x 1440 resolution.
It's crazy how much you can tweak both AM4 and RDNA 2. I'm planning on getting an Ultrawide and probably the 5700X3D quite soon actually so this is good to know!
This gpu and most of rx 6000 overclock sooooo well, its shame as you and me both know this gpu is capable of more, they just artificially cap it. I have the same gpu in my boys pc, and it wont go past 2500mhz, i keep it at the same oc as you have. Anyway, shame we can't do as we pleas, but its still a fun gpu to oc.
Great video although I always find it weird when creators hold microphones like they're on location at a crime scene or preparing to walk around interviewing people.
I was lucky and snagged a rx6800 in early 2021 and have been loving it ever sense. I also play at 4k resolution most of the time. I turn FSR on for a higher refresh experience if I want 100 fps or more. Its kind of funny how little attention this graphics card got back when it released and now its pretty much the best Value in pc gaming cheaper than most other GPU and more performance/VRAM as well. I see it for 330-360$ pretty much all the time in the US new on amazon and newegg/other retailers. Honestly the 6800/xt are also a steal used often under 250$. This is a beast of a graphics card still and def still upper mid range in my opinion because it can stretch to 4k and high refresh 1440p in most titles. The titles it cant are titles a 4090 also struggles in or w/e other gpu you want to list off also struggles.
I fully agree with you, I am still stunned how this card went under the radar to so many people. I initially hesitated when purchasing it as everyone was going for the 6800 XT, but considering at the time that card was about €150 more expensive, it didn't make much sense to me. Luckily I play a lot of eSports games anyway so I'm not in the market for a super high end card like an RTX 4090 and I believe I'll be holding onto this card for a good while longer, unless I bite the bullet and get a smaller case (the XFX cards are massive).
I’ve been debating getting one myself a for a while - keep pricing up an ITX build with an 7800X3D, but when you get a new Mobo, RAM, Case and possibly PSU it starts to add up. How are you finding the 5700X3D?
Yeah for sure! I've tinkered with RAM overclocking and tightened timings in the past but it became such a hassle trying to stabilise it with the X370 board unfortunately, it is my favourite form of overclocking though, just so many settings that you can change. In addition to that my OS is fairly optimised, I was running ReviOS for the past while but have opted to making my own changes to the OS which work out very well, it's something I wish more people done as Windows 11 works flawlessly for me now!
rx 6800 is my favorite gpu. Previously it was 5700xt. Reason being, its got high bandwidth as its just a cut down 6900xt- and it draws perfect amount of power to be able to run completely silenty with a good big cooler. 16gb vram is more than nice too. Although, people see low vram as a problem today so now its more expensive than rtx 3070 used. So I sold mine, and went back to 5700xt, its enough.
The 5700 XT is a solid card and still does super well today, I was planning on getting one back in early 2020 and then Covid happened and the price shot up so I ended up getting an RTX 2060 instead. What you say about the power is bang on, it's crazy how little power the RX 6800 consumes for as much performance as it churns out!
Crazy! Yeah it's a fantastic setup but I'll be swapping to a 5700X3D and 32GB of RAM soon especially with the video editing I'm set out to do. The display on that RX 6800 looks so cool, being able to see your temps must be nice!
One of my several PCs is running a 5950X/128GB 3800MT DDR4/6950XT for over 3 years now and its great, still plenty fast for most things. My brother has a 5800X/64GB RAM/3080 12GB and it also runs everything great. Zen 3+ RDNA 2 is a great combo. Though I did just throw together a 9950X/192GB 7000MT RAM DDR5/7900XTX as I wanted to take advantage of 1440p 480hz.
A 9950X and 192GB of RAM is insane, here I am debating whether I’ll get 32GB or 64GB for a DDR5 build whenever I decide to take the leap 😅 For the monitor did you happen to get the new OLED ASUS just released? Think LTT done a video on it - looks good!
@@MrTitanFTW Yes I managed to snag one from a local retailer that had them on the floor but with the labels for a 240hz oled so I got it for only 799 as they honored the price. I like to max the ram on builds as that can be the biggest limiting factor to the PC in the future and I prefer not to want to worry about upgrading it later. I am upgrading from the alienware 500hz 1080p ips monitor from like 1 or 2 years ago. Its nice. I do like to have the ram though for messing around with side projects. I got basically by scavaging the local Best Buy for return items at huge discounted return items. The 4080 was gotten for 790 dollars a month after launch, was running hot...repasted it and its been great since. That build is running 4 2TB NVMEs. I did just throw together a build for my girl with a 7700X/64GB DDR5 7000/7800XT as well all pink and got for a good price. with a pixio 4k 160hz ips monitor.
That deal on the ASUS OLED is a steal, especially at $799, considering how insane those specs are. OLED 1440P at 480Hz must look insanely good, and I completely get your logic on maxing out the RAM, I'm very much noticing the negative effects of having only 16GB especially when editing videos in Premiere Pro. I'm imagining you're over in the states with deals like that - we get royally screwed in the EU when it comes to PC parts and I was very much lucky to get my RX 6800 for €490 back in November/December of 2021/2022 (forget the year), all other ones available at the time were €650+, so that's my best deal to date haha! Might have to check out that 4K 160Hz IPS from Pixio, didn't know they were still in the monitor game.
What do you guys think of the 5600X and RX 6800 combo? I've just caved and bought a 5700X3D and will be making a video on it soon, but nonetheless, curious to know your thoughts!
Good point! I'm surprised I've had this motherboard for more than 7 years now, and despite how old it is, it's still going strong. I'll either swap it out when I go to AM5/AM6, or when the motherboard dies. As for the differences between PCIe 3.0 Vs. PCIe 4.0, they perform very much the same, but you would see a 1-5% increase in performance when going to PCIe 4.0 I would say!
@@IrnMaiden304 Yeah mine's actually not to bad either, I just responded back to another comment there talking about the same thing and remembered a video Optimum Tech made going over how to reduce coil whine and one of those things was undervolting and locking your framerate, still though mine's not too bad luckily: ua-cam.com/video/GUzCXF3oMD0/v-deo.html

Hey there, I have power consumption numbers, but I sadly don't have temperature numbers right now, but temperature can vary depending on your room temperature, case, CPU cooler, case fans, and even the fan curves haha. But, I believe with the undervolt and overclock I don't go over 70 Degrees Celsius on the GPU, and the CPU reaches about 76 Degrees Celsius maximum, but, then again, I have my fans running at a lower speed than usual! As for power consumption I had PBO enabled along with the GPU overclocked and undervolted with a smart plug. thank you for the video. im curious about something and maybe it sounds weird. im using 5600x and 3080 10GB combo now, is it worth it if i change my 3080 to 6800? i just focus with gaming and maybe streaming (not that much)
I’d honestly stick with your 3080-it’s a great card! Switching to an RX 6800 wouldn’t give you much of an upgrade; it’s more of a side-grade, maybe even a slight downgrade in some areas. Plus, if you’re planning to stream, the 3080 is the better choice because NVIDIA’s NVENC codec is fantastic for streaming, and the RX 6800 doesn’t support AV1 encoding (that only came with the Radeon 7000 series). I’d recommend undervolting your 3080-it’ll give you excellent performance and help it stay reliable for years ahead!
I do have a video in mind for Overclocking the GPU, Undervolting the GPU/CPU, configuring PBO, and going over what settings to optimise and change in the BIOS. I'm not sure when I'll have it recorded but it is on my list of things to have uploaded to UA-cam, and seeing how this video hasn't done too bad, maybe I might put it further up on my list of priorities!
XFX definitely make some top quality cards and they’re nearly almost the cheapest models available - hard to beat for that, glad you’re enjoying the 6750 XT
That's a good plan especially if you're already on AM5, seeing as the 7800X3D has gone right up in price it's not a bad idea to wait around and see if you can get a 7600X3D for a good price or a 7700X3D if it get's released - still though the 7500F is a great budget CPU!
It really is, I'd say you can find used 5600's or 5600X's for under €100 on eBay and FB Marketplace. I've definitely seen them for sale on AliExpress for about €90. As for the 6700 XT you could definitely get some good deals for less than €275, probably cheaper in the USA as well I would say. For that price you can't go wrong!
Yup, its a fantastic setup especially considering how cheap you can get the 5600X and RX 6800 now. I really should have bit the bullet and bought a 7800X3D a few months ago when they were €330, prices have skyrocket since! So I’ve opted for a 5700X3D for the meantime.
@@michaelkoerner4578 My one dream in life is to visit a Microcenter 😂 place looks like Heaven for computer parts, even seen some Sim Racing stuff go for so cheap there!
How can you use 3600 MHZ memory when this processor has a 3200 MHZ memory limitation? I also thought of buying RX 6800 but since the prices are high in my country I am thinking of buying RX 6600 XT, your graphics card has high vRam capacity and PCIex 4.0 but the motherboard you are using is PCIex 3.0, the graphics card will work but it will run at 3.0 speed. I just changed my processor and memory, my processor and motherboard are the same as yours. I'm playing F1 22 at FHD high settings with 90fps, no overclocking or undervolting. My graphics card Msi Armor RX 580 8GB OC.
I believe the 3200MHz limitation is what AMD can 100% confirm will work with the 5600X however it can run at higher memory speeds as long as you can get it stable - the Ryzen 1000 series was notorious for having bad memory timings and some people could barely get past 2666MHz back in the day. Thankfully my 5600X and X370 board is able to happily run 3600MHz. I did mention in another comment that I do have PCIe 3 which is correct, so with any result in the video you can add an extra 1-5% of performance which should be roughly the performance you’d get with PCIe 4! I’ve had this motherboard for 7 years now and at this stage I’m just waiting for it to either die on me or wait til I get a good deal on a 7800X3D or for AMD to release AM6. The RX 6600 XT would be a great upgrade over the RX 580 👍
So on MSI Afterburner my Core Voltage (mV) is set at 900 (mV), my Core Clock is set at 2400 (MHz), and my Memory Clock is set at 2112 (MHz). For PBO I have it set at a positive offset of 200MHz!
Hey I'm looking at the XFX website for your GPU, and the "Minimum Power Supply Requirement" is listed at 750W. I'm thinking of upgrading to similar components. Looking at your PSU, do you think this "requirement" is more of a recommendation? Thanks, and great video
Ah I was in a similar position to you actually - scoured Reddit and other places and everyone said that I’d need an 850W PSU for the 6800 XT, so I opted for the 6800. As long as you get a DECENT 650W PSU then everything runs smooth, haven’t had any power issues with mine!
it matters what else you use in your pc. A 14900k uses 400w in highest load, and an overclocked rx 6800 it can draw 260w under load. Then 650w is not enough and you need 750w if you will put both under 100% load at the same time. But if you have a 5600x which draws 65w and normal rx 6800 usually draws 220w, then even a 500w psu is enough.
Yup this is what I would have gone with but whenever I looked on Reddit everyone was freaking about "voltage spikes" at the time. I should have gone for the XT but I've been super happy with my 6800 and bought it for a great price back when GPU's were still a little tough to get for reasonable prices. Glad it's working well for you!
Hahaha, I won't lie, I very much agree. I knew if I didn't speak fast then the video would've extended to nearly 40 minutes long. Thank you for the compliment too, really appreciate it!
Absolutely, it’s great for video editing! I’ve been using this setup for all my recent editing and rendering work, and it’s been rock solid. I did upgrade to 32GB of RAM recently, which made things even smoother, and I’m planning to swap my 5600X for a 5700X3D soon. But even without those upgrades, this system is a solid choice for both gaming and productivity!
Well good news would be that AMD are going to release their 8000 series of GPUs possibly in early 2025. If that's the case then it should mean the 6750XT should go a bit cheaper (maybe not new), but definitely used and refurbished. So it might be a good idea to keep your eye out and hope a deal comes around 👍
If you want moore performance, don't overclock and burn out components, but instead buy more powerful components and run at stock settings for stability, reliability and longevity........
Not entirely true actually. Whilst extreme overclocking can decrease the lifespan of components, the type of overclocking which I feature in the video is a very safe overclock + with an undervolt applied it would actually prolong the lifespan of the component itself as not as much power is getting pushed to it also resulting in less heat!

@@псю For the same money you could get a 5700xt which is far better than a 3050. The 6600 outperforms it in all games and for over 100 dollars its a bad deal overall. If possible give it back
That's a very valid point and something I should have mentioned along with the fact that SAM / Resizable Bar is enabled. I still have an X370 motherboard so no PCIe Gen 4 just yet. I'm stuck between getting a 5700X3D and keeping with my current motherboard (until it dies) or completely swapping to AM5, but will probably do the former. So performance would be even greater with PCIe 4 in this case. It wouldn't be anything major, but would still be an improvement nonetheless!

Hey there! Thanks for the feedback! I tried something new with the subtitles to add some energy to the video, but I get that it might not be for everyone. I'll keep experimenting to find a style that works best for my videos. I'm honestly surprised you're the only that's said something about the subtitles so far, as I thought the same myself. Appreciate you watching either way!
The xfx swft has a bad coil whine issue that's why there's so much stock.
Less more isn't a issue
@@MrTitanFTW I got the 3070 Ti because it was the only 30 series I could get my hands on at launch.
yo, im so glad someone else talks about how good the pairing is between these two lmao
Yup, I was surprised how little people spoke about this pairing, and it's why I chose to make a video on it. Glad you think the same!
ur gonnna be the next hardware unboxed
Love the work Steve and Tim do! Making this video has made me respect them and others in the space so much more (Gamers Nexus, LTT, etc.) The amount of data you have to gather for each game, to then potentially re-testing a game if the data doesn't seem quite right is a painful process but it's key to make sure everything is accurate, and I'm sure it's the same for the likes of Hardware Unboxed and for that, massive respect has to be given to them, appreciate the compliment!

I've just bought the MSI 6800 Gaming Z Trio. Such a great card! Well pleased with it.
Hey....this is my combo! Nice! Glad I selected well. I will snag a 5700x3d when they hit around 100$
That must've been a lot of work and time invested into it, especially for a channel below 100 subs
Btw, do you have plans on including the Power Consumption? It can even be the system as a whole through the wall with those "Power Meter Outlet" (unfortunately RDNA 2 GPU doesn't display the correct power consumption on software, so it has to be measure though something else =/)
That's very nice of you to say, thank you! Yeah this video took a lot of effort but I thoroughly enjoyed doing the testing.
I was debating adding power consumption figures many times, and in fact I do have a smart socket somewhere in my house but just never plugged it into the wall 😂
I'm not home at the moment but when I do get a chance I'll plug it in and do a few tests and get back to you with numbers - I'd be interested in knowing what the numbers are myself!
@@MrTitanFTW Don't need to thank me, you did an awesome job
But remember to not "overstress" yourself with a bunch of test every single time, only add the Power Consumption if you have time to do it!
I used a 6800 in a PC for my son paired with a i5 12600K with 32GB DDR5. It's a killer combo for the money!
That is indeed an incredible combo for the money, sure your son is very happy!!!
I have same config and thinking upgrade to 5800x3d it will be ready next years! Perfect combo!

It is indeed, thinking of getting a 5700X3D soon though!

@@MrTitanFTW hahaha bro I'm just playing, you do your thing, it's your awesome content that matters, not the mic
@@MrTitanFTWi always recommend the rx 6800 for people

I had this combo for almost 2 years until I bought a 5700x3d recently as I decided that I wanted to increase the longevity of my system
I’ve been debating getting one myself a for a while - keep pricing up an ITX build with an 7800X3D, but when you get a new Mobo, RAM, Case and possibly PSU it starts to add up. How are you finding the 5700X3D?
TBH if you add RAM manual OC there will be huge improvement in terms of performance, additionally you can also tweak OS for better latency.
Dude, I has the exact setup with Aorus RX6800 with the display!
The build is on a Gigabyte Pro Ice X870E with 4x 4TB NVMEs Gen 4. Its a nice build for sure. I never imagined Id have no need for sata ssds. My 5950X rig is running 2x 2tb nvmes and 3x 2tb sata ssds with an 8tb hdd. On an Asus X570 Pro.

Hi, nice tests and gains, but about heat and consumption you have some info ? thanks in advance
I measured 110W idle (although I believe this is a little high due to my Memory Clock being locked on the GPU) I would say a more accurate figure is probably in the region of 50W idle, and I measured about 380W under full load when doing a benchmark of Cyberpunk 2077.
Do u have a video for overclocking, undervolt and PBO. It would be nice. I have same combo but never done much tweking.
I do have a video in mind for Overclocking the GPU, Undervolting the GPU/CPU, configuring PBO, and going over what settings to optimise and change in the BIOS. @MrTitanFTW I ended up getting a 7900xt and the 5600 was bottlenecking it and I had a bit of cash from winter overtime. Plus I lived by microcenter
Can you show us the settings that you did for Pbo+uv+oc ?
I can indeed, I’m not at home at the moment but can send you on the exact configuration I applied when I’m back later on!
Its showed no ?
So on MSI Afterburner my Core Voltage (mV) is set at 900 (mV), my Core Clock is set at 2400 (MHz), and my Memory Clock is set at 2112 (MHz). For PBO I have it set at a positive offset of 200MHz!
Ah, I just remembered I had, but it's all good 👍
Hey I'm looking at the XFX website for your GPU, and the "Minimum Power Supply Requirement" is listed at 750W.
I use a r5 7600 and 6800xt and it works fine with a corsair 650w
Yup this is what I would have gone with but whenever I looked on Reddit everyone was freaking about "voltage spikes" at the time. I should have gone for the XT but I've been super happy with my 6800 and bought it for a great price back when GPU's were still a little tough to get for reasonable prices. Glad it's working well for you!
Set speed to 0.75 thank me later. Love the content brotha, slow down tho.
Hahaha, I won't lie, I very much agree. I knew if I didn't speak fast then the video would've extended to nearly 40 minutes long. Thank you for the compliment too, really appreciate it!
@MrTitanFTW don't worry about the +40mins we'll still watch it. 😉
Is it good for video editing?
Absolutely, it’s great for video editing! I’ve been using this setup for all my recent editing and rendering work, and it’s been rock solid. I did upgrade to 32GB of RAM recently, which made things even smoother, and I’m planning to swap my 5600X for a 5700X3D soon. But even without those upgrades, this system is a solid choice for both gaming and productivity!
@@MrTitanFTW That's great, thanks for advice!
Man I wish my psu could handle a rx 6800 xt. I'm thinking about getting a rx 6750 xt instead, to upgrade from my rx 5700 xt.
Sounds like an upgrade worth doing! Especially if you can get the 6750XT for a good price nowadays :)
@@MrTitanFTW I'm debating it once finances get better, part me wants to wait for the rx 8XXX xt series. But not sure its worth the wait.
@MrTitanFTW Yeah right now I'm just gonna keep a eye on things
If you want moore performance, don't overclock and burn out components, but instead buy more powerful components and run at stock settings for stability, reliability and longevity........
Not entirely true actually. Whilst extreme overclocking can decrease the lifespan of components, the type of overclocking which I feature in the video is a very safe overclock + with an undervolt applied it would actually prolong the lifespan of the component itself as not as much power is getting pushed to it also resulting in less heat!
What a really nice video
UA-cam recommending this to me is already a W for you mate
Keep it up
Can you try the 3050 if you. Own it ?
Space marine 2

Are the games i want to play
Haha thank you mate! Unfortunately, I don't have an RTX 3050 on hand to do testing on these games but I appreciate the compliment on the video, it's very appreciated!
@@MrTitanFTW its not even a compliment
You deserve way more
Thats some dope high quality content
Never ever buy the 3050
@@pietruszek1998 i got it for 130 dollars mate
cheaper than 1660TIs in my country
and even cheper than 6gb 2060
its a great deal
@@псю For the same money you could get a 5700xt which is far better than a 3050. The 6600 outperforms it in all games and for over 100 dollars its a bad deal overall.
If possible give it back
Hear me out. 5800X3D + RX 6800
Indeed, that’s the current plan for me except I believe I’d be going for the 5700X3D as they seem a little cheaper and more available in the EU atm!
PCIE gen 3 MB with a PCIE gen 4 GPU ?
That's a very valid point and something I should have mentioned along with the fact that SAM / Resizable Bar is enabled. I still have an X370 motherboard so no PCIe Gen 4 just yet.
I'm stuck between getting a 5700X3D and keeping with my current motherboard (until it dies) or completely swapping to AM5, but will probably do the former.
So performance would be even greater with PCIe 4 in this case. It wouldn't be anything major, but would still be an improvement nonetheless!
@@MrTitanFTW Thats great im rocking 5700x3d and a rx 6950 xt tho mobo is on service due a faulty ram slot.
@@CityExpertenElonLjudBildKramfo I wouldn't be surprised if my motherboard dies soon, 1 of the USB ports at the back are gone and 1 at the front of my case is also gone, wanting to go ITX next but there aren't many cases that support the card I have, it's just wayyy too big.
How are you finding the 5700X3D so far? Did you happen to get it on Amazon or AliExpress by any chance?
waaatt ... the 5600X can get 400fps on CS2???? what did you use??
Yup you can indeed! Then again I did use a Benchmark Map which is available on the Steam Workshop: steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3240880604
2x8GB RAM in dual channel?
Yup, sticks are ran in Dual Channel at 3600MHz CL16!
My brother has this combo
It's a cracking combo especially given the parts are quite affordable!
What’s with the deranged subtitles bouncing at the bottom of the screen. It’s like watching a TokTok.
