I still don’t understand how/where Athena found Themis’ soul/memories/etc to reconstruct him. He “died” on the First, using the remainder of himself to send you through time. If he was wrong about his calculations, and his soul wasn’t completely spent, it wouldn’t have been in the Source’s Aetherial Sea for Athena to use. It’s not like she has access to his memories, and it seems unlikely she’d bother or have the ability to ferry souls like Hydealyn did. It all seems too convenient. Someone give me a magic stone, I gotta go run back down to Haurchefant’s floating shield and bring him back home.
Good summary, but the time travel isn't that hard. It's closed loop time travel. The crystal was sent into the future because he'd met you in the past. You met him in the past because he sent the crystal to the future. There's no beginning or end to it, everything happens because it's already happened before or must happen.
