I have a little take on how this song had happened : Plankton was desperate and running out of ideas and materials to steal the krabby patty formula, so he went to a junkyard to find scraps for another invention, but then he had seen an old machine of his. Originally, he deemed it too dangerous to be used due to its rouge AI and the fact that it could turn on him at any time, but this time he had no choice. He HAD to use it because even the junkyard was looking empty due to his scavenging efforts. So using what little scrap the junkyard had, and some computer parts he had managed to fix up the robot which he named "Toybob" At first, the robot was running fine, it was obeying plankton and such and plankton devised a plan, and that plan worked, it was a good one too! But plankton wanted more, he wanted revenge on bikini bottom due to everyone neglecting the chum bucket for so long, so he had rampaged bikini bottom, leaving no buildings in-tact and countless injured / killed. Spongebob was hiding due to the chaos, but was found by plankton and Toybob, and so the cover happens. Eventually plankton wins and sponge-bob is burnt alive.
