Unfortunately this video been banned because of official XYZ release on vinyl in Peel Session series by Warp. Thankfully this video still avaliable and you are always welcome to enjoy it as usual ^^
This is my preferred ‘rpm’ for this song, no question. All other BOC rpm-shift songs are very interesting, and very enjoyable, but I’ve always felt the original rpm versions of the BOC tracks are best… except ‘XYZ at 33rpm’.
There were some Peel Session albums that had XYZ on it before XYZ got copyrighted and removed from the album. So there's a CD quality version of XYZ out there somewhere, I believe.
@@canadajointops Because Warp reissued it on the vinyl in "peel session series" for the first time a few years ago and so the copyrights detected my video :D
the foundation of computer graphic animation. late 70s and early 1980s. congruent with pop culture as MTV introduced a lot of this media in its early years.
In all these years I have only just started to like the broadcast version's second half, but I like the slowed down version (of this part of the track) right away. I wonder if XYZ will ever see official release. Maybe the business with the sample might be resolved, one day.
Are we just going to ignore the Hitler-sounding rant at 2:55?? I can’t find anyone mentioning it anywhere, but it is clear as day in this 33rpm version.
@@Ludamage - No one mentions this German speech/yelling anywhere… it is not “screaming” per se… I don’t know if it’s Hitler, but it sure sounds like one of his beer hall/rally speeches. and that audio clip is certainly not from an American film. If you can identify the audio sample from “Shipwreck”, please point it out.. but I’m sure it’s not this Hitler-yelling.
@@SongJLikes No - it's US movie and speech here is like the same wiki describes: "Well, what are you going to do?" "Stick with the boat 'til it reaches China, then I'm gonna be a pirate and get lots of money!" & "Sam, lunch is ready!"
@@Ludamage - Then that’s not the audio sample that I am referencing… is this ‘hidden,’ and no one has noticed it!?? @@BizarreBeebu the art...i guess
Jesus Christ, that one metronome tick in the first second of this track just demonstrates the attention to detail of these two guys.
Right )
I think that's an accidental sound in the background of the original broadcast ... maybe even John Peel pressing play : )
It's great at this speed!
Thanks, just played early in digital and noticed it sounds way differently if it were on vinyl so NOW it's officially on vinyl and thats grate! )
This track went from being an old head scratcher for me to now being a masterpiece. Thanks for this!
You are welcome )

Utter brilliance!

there is. There was a variant only made by Music70 that included XYZ (though it also neglected Happy Cycling (Bad Day))
I wonder if they approached Dave Gilmour and co re sample clearance?
Nevermind they released it lol
Beautiful. Reminds me of Lateralus-era Tool.
This sounds better than the recent digital release.
it's like it was supposed to be played like at 33RPM
You can see the video? Wow! I thought it was banned on youtube for some time ago )
@@Ludamage can still it! and it still rocks! Did you make the video? why was it banned in the first place

Yep Neat visuals on a dope tune.
Ha, I was about to type these very words!

As you see bud, XYZ got official edition on vinyl but simply banned my video for some time because of copyrights lol, thankfully it's still here )
cool

Speech is from the 1978 film Shipwreck! aka Sea Gypsies as wiki says so no it's not Hitler at all XD

This sounds like something off of Tri Repete amazinh

at 3am . Thanks UA-cam for finding this gem.
!
I like the original better but at 33 rpm the song is cool and laidback.
Patryk do you do drugs? Do ya Pat.
Yes man! It called imagination and practice mixture. Comes with weird visions in dreams and full of obscured ideas. Try some! It's priceless :3
