L&T FN 63, 63A AC 23A model SDF or switch disconnector fuses. Things take take care while purchasing SDF or any electrical equipment.
SDF is a disconnector that is a mechanical device that fulfils the requirements specified for the isolation function in the open position, as specified in IEC 60947-1. But the purpose of an isolator is to cut off the supply from all or a discrete section of the installation by separating the installation or section from every source of electrical energy for safety reasons. Switches are mechanical devices which are capable of making, carrying and breaking currents under normal circuit conditions and also specified time operating in overload conditions. Switch Disconnector Fuses is a combination of properties of load switches, disconnectors and also protection offered by fuses.

Ohms of earth and tripping of elcb does not have a direct relationship... ELCB trips when there is earth leakage above its rated (normally for domestic it is 30mA).

2. മെയിന്‍ സ്വിച്ച്, മീറ്റര്‍ മുതലായവ പുറത്ത് ഓപ്പണ്‍ ആക്കി വെക്കണം (wooden ബോര്‍ഡിന് മുകളില്‍ ) എന്നാണു ഇലക്ട്രിഷ്യന്‍ പറയുന്നത്. അത് ശെരിയാണോ? മീറ്റര്‍, മെയിന്‍ സ്വിച്ച്, നമുക്ക് ബോക്സ്‌നുള്ളില്‍ ആക്കാന്‍ പറ്റില്ലേ. ഇനി closed ബോക്സ്‌ ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും ഓപ്പണ്‍ ബോക്സ്‌ ആക്കാന്‍ പാടില്ലേ.
