To be honest I wouldn't clean the algea in there, I wouldn't mind if there would be. It feeds on nitrates and would rather have algea there then in the aquarium. + you would remove most if not all beneficial bacteria that grow in it. If you realy want to clean it go with a sponge that hasn't seen detergent and for the intake they sell brushes to clean small tubes on Amazon (alsow easy for the hard to reach spots with a sponge). What ever you do no soap please!
Where are you from? If belgium or Nederlands, Bol.com you might find it on Amazon with a bit of luck. I bought mine in a local store. If I'm not mistaking it is a german brand...
@@juli8vdberg562 I ended up using it as extra bio filter with plants and pebbles in it. Wasn't to bad but was a drag to get it started again every time I did a water change
@@vertigoone-one-722 I unboxed it yesterday to use in my 80L guppy tank with some plants and wanted to also add purigen, but what a totally big disappointment that was! Ended up using the old hang-on filter and stored it away.. who knows one day when I am retired and have a big massive tank with stones and sand and wood and no animal in it, I use it. Worst ever product
Check out how I made the HOB filter in to a nitrate filter: ua-cam.com/video/QiD2at4NTsI/v-deo.html
I had one but upgraded to the three filters model and I think they are great but I do like the adjustments you have made and will try that next.
Great review! Can't wait to see how you make it a nitrate filter
It will be the next video to come. Thx for waching bro!

You are welkome and thank you for watching!
Awesome video, this type of filter might be good for my small quarantine tank. Think I'll have to check them out. Thanks for sharing 👍
You are welkome and thx for waching mate
Does it make a lot of noise?
It isn't the most silent one, wouldn't put it in a bedroom.
But for another room in the house it is ok
Hi! How do you clean this one if the alqae is in the filter ? ☺️

:)👍
I bought one and am extremely disappointed with this thing and had to buy sponges and cut holes in them to adjust the intake! Waste of money really
