Got to love how Costello seems to operate on that great false pretense that he somehow was the reason the Australian Economy grew as much as it did during the late 90s through the 00s.

@@geoffpayne8130 Personally, I respect Howard for the gun laws, for managing to win four elections, and for the way he had the balls to do controversial things. But the only Howard policy I agree with is the gun control.
Zero respect and exactly what Keating said about him…..a man who never had any policies or direction for our country. His legacy is a country that has the highest cost of living and a gap as big as house prices between the rich and poor. He deserved every criticism Keating threw at him and can thank Keating for the enormously prosperous country him and Hawke handed him

@@matthewanderson7779 corruption is a point of criticism only mountable against a government in complete ignorance of the irrelevance of such a factor on the proper performance of government. Corruption has no retrospective bearing on the evaluation of an administration. Consequentially viewed, there is no difference between a government corrupted to achieve righteous and beneficial ends and one which does so of its own pure accord. What a horrible party.
Labour keeps losing to them though.
@johnnotrealname8168 because Australia is naturally a conservative country, the the Liberals are at an advantage.
John Howard changed Australia for the worse. He made us more unequal than ever. I respect him, but I hate everything he stood for.
He doesn't deserve respect. The only good thing he did were the gun laws

Howard era policy has led directly to the very shit Australia in which we now live.
