@@douglasdickinson1877 Ds1 isn't just about the boss fights like ds3. The level design, world, lore, and build variety are what make it better in my opinion.
All elitists have been in your position bro, there is always one maybe two boss fights that are just pain and they will be different for everyone based on their particular play style. Damn I didn't realize that the view of O&S has twisted from "hardest fight foir new players in ds1" to "the worst fight in ds1" when did that happen? Makes no sense to me, the fight is great.
@@yusted1no, people just realising after all this time that o&s i extremely bad fight gameplay and mechanicly wise. Insanely cool for first playthrough for sure tho.
The fact that he plays a heavy, slow strength weapon is great, no better way to get used to movesets. Oh, and also because it is incredibly based of course.
On the staircase switchback below the archer, there is a summon sign for Solaire, but you have to reverse hollowing to see it. Should make the Ornstein and Smough fight more manageable. If Solaire takes damage fighting the two giant sentinels before the fog gate, you can restore him to full health by releasing him with the Black Separation Crystal, then exit the game, and when you continue the game, Solaire's summon sign will reappear so you can summon him again at full health.
Try baiting ornstein away from smogh. If you cannot see both of them at the same time, do not attack. Try to get Smogh stuck behind a pillar while you bait Ornstein out. When Smogh does the charge, do not lock on, and sprint to the left of him (his right), or sprint away. Also, just memorize their moves and dodge timings. It may take a while, but having those down will make this fight more than winnable.
Ornstein is small and fast but can hit you multiple times without killing you while Smough is large and slow and hits like a truck. That balance forces you to truly learn and win with skill rather than get lucky. Ditch the lock on and learn to throw hands against two opponents, Chosen Undead.
Why is it so red , WHY????????????? , its either that or my eyes are giving up, the bridge gargoyle was supposed to be golden , but its all red , also great content
this has been one of the playthroughs that has resonated so well with my own experience. You think ds1 is bad.... wait till you play demon souls. demon souls is all about level difficulty in a way i havent seen since up until shadow of the erd. I swear, every swamp since swamp of sorrows (including blight town) has been an apology and an explanation why miyazaki isnt allowed to develop level unsupervised since. lol
Depends on how you play the game, used to think the same until i found out you can basically just stay under Ornstein's legs the entire time without taking damage unless he decides to use you as a human B-plug
Such a good boss fight!!!! But for anyone in the future you need the back flip ring. I think I it’s the dark wood grain ring. Makes the whole game a breeze and is fun as hell.
smoked both of them on my first playthrough dark souls being my first souls like game and did it 1st try too idk how i pulled that off because on my second run i died like 9 times
Watching him get cooked in Anor Londo actually was unlocking memories dude 🤣 The pain is shared trust.
Literally one of the most legendary FS fights of all time
'Let me heal!!!'
Ornstein: Nope. (Poke)
One of the best boss fights in all of gaming.
It’s literally the only decent fight in ds1 not counting the dlc lmao

well put
the reason it doesn’t register is cause you hitting his hammer 🔨

I agree. Hated it when I did it first time, now I enjoy it quite a lot
I have just finished it…strangely it was kinda easy 2nd try…..but the area kicked my ass so hard 😂 so thats a trad
Alot more people play this game after another instead of first so that probably plays a role

@@yusted1 Picked this up at 30 under Lockdown as my first single-player experience since Rayman 2 back in the early 2000s. I LOVE it!
Speaking of brute force fights, thank goodness you have the Black Knight Greatsword

Goddamn he putting these out fast after the streams, respect the climb rob🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿

O&S's auras say "You might have been lucky to get here, now it's time to prove you weren't, you pass this test, you're worthy" or some shih
I love that black knight greatsword so much. Got it tattooed on my index finger
Also got “you died” tattooed on my left wrist so when shit hits the fan I can just check the time 🤣🗿
I keep thinking bro will finally figure out how busted the 2h heavy attack is with his weapon
You're lucky you have that sword, otherwise you would've suffered so much more
He's not lucky. It was chat helping him
@nanach6276 that sword is rare drop...so yeah luck is involved, unless someone dropped it for him 😅
It’s funny when it’s not happening to me😂
tip: big smough may be easier for u than big ornstein
Really I though big smough was always just considered harder in general
Secret bridge: falls 😂
Your cutaways get me laughing out loud. That quick cut after you smacked your insolent chair was classic.
Wonderful ending, perfect
Always fight near a pillar. If smough does his charge attack you can use the pillar as a blocker!

31:50 same case here

no ornstein and smough is the best boss in souls
BloodBorne Aggresive/dodge playstyle > DS hide behind shield/block playstyle
What are you talking about? You very easily can go hyper aggressive in DS.
I didn’t use a shield my first DS1 playthrough

Hey bro if u haven’t killed them yet take out the oreinstein the one with the spear first cause fat boy a lot slower n easier to deal with alone
Kill Ornstein first . Makes 2nd phase easier
Do it again level 1.
How many deaths is he at in stream
110 I think by the end of the stream
