I understand that within the last five years, I must have accumulated at least one year (1,560 hours) of work experience in my main occupation. Currently, I am employed as a seafood processor (TEER 4) with an AIP-designated employer. However, my previous work experience includes 8 months as an accounts payable clerk (TEER 4) and 8 months as a parts clerk (TEER 4).
Given that my previous roles are not directly related to my current occupation, I’m unsure whether I can use this one-year work experience towards my AIP application.
Could you please confirm if my previous work experience would be considered valid for the program, or if I need to accumulate one year of experience specifically as a seafood processor?

I would like to clarry regarding the valid job offer aspect. For "NOC 0,A, or B skill type or level position, the job must be for at least 1 year" With this, a job with 1 year term Fulltime but contract based is eligible for AiP? Thank you.

Regarding the work experience of 1560hrs, what if I worked part-time in a NOC 0 jobs when I am studying and worked full time in a NOC 2 job after studying, will all my work hours add up? I plan to take only a 1 yr program and work through PGWP to get that 1560hrs. Thank you

There is no other way to find designated emloyer? On the list we can read just the company names and sometimes is not possible to know which kind of job they offer.

One of the drawbacks of AIP is that the job offer has to come from a company that is in the designated list of NB, I do not know about the other industry but in IT filed there are not many IT jobs when compared with another province such as Ontario or Alberta and the IT jobs from designated company are very very limit
yes Atlantic is not an IT hub, but there are jobs that are in demand here.Also Aip can be mostly beneficial to international students.

I want to know as an outland applicant ,if I have clear interview than how much time it will take to get offer letter ?
Do International students have to fulfill all four requirements to qualify or just one, cos I'm resuming for a 1year program fall 2023, will I qualify, since it isn't a 2yr program?
Can you move to other provinces after obtaining a PR via AIPP program within a year? Or will it issue PR renewal or citizenship applications?

@@adamlevine5579 yea np so first step on aip is to get a job offer on a TEER 4 job or higher and after that you get a temporary work permit online (takes about 4 months or less) and yeah then you arrive in canada Im not sure if employers will wait 4 months for an employee to come fill their position tho but it is Atlantic canada and they desperately need to fill it with more people so im pretty confident you can find an employer willing to wait for your arrival here, if you have any questions im here, also I personally dont live in Canada because I’m still 18 and im working to get my 1 year work experience to then immigrate using aip im from Morocco btw

Hi, is there any necessary to have a same job in AIP, for example before anyone is supervisor in food, but affer moving to pei, he gets job in (AIP - caregiver) second question how they count one year experience suppose now nov2022 is there so they will count from nov2021 to nov 2022 ? However, I do have a clarification and I hope you can enlighten me with this:
I have studied a 1-yr HR program here in Toronto. I had work experience outside Canada for the same field before coming here to study. Here in Canada, my only experience is my unpaid internship. Then I got a job offer in New Brunswick as HR (related to my program) Now my question is, will my overseas experience qualify me for the work experience requirement? Or do I need to fulfill the 1560 hrs first before I can be eligible to apply for AIP?

The experience requirement does not state that it should be in Canada only.The guideline says”must have 1560 hours of experience in related field”

I've been applying for jobs from nominated employers but I just keep getting rejection emails back, I thought that the idea of this program was that they couldn't fill the vacancies, so I'm confused as to why I say I will do the job and they say no.

you have to be qualified before you can be considered. Just because they need to hire people , anyone and everyone who will apply will be hired.

You have to do research on job openings of companies under aip. Thst how you start.

Hi Ricey, Thanks for this video. I checked those designated employers in PEI, NS but my problem is I'm going to study Accounting and there is no designated Accounting firms in that list🙄.And there is no demand for Accountants in PNP in Atlantic province. What are the option for me other than that?

NSNP is one of the most useless immigration programs. Almost none of the employers want to fill out the NSNP-200 form because they do not understand why they need to do it when the employee already has a contract. The same goes for AIP. It's not a program to find workers, it's a program that forces you to work for minimum wage to get PR. With the current severe housing shortage in the Atlantic province and prices for apartments or rooms almost the same as in Ontario, working for minimum wage puts a person on the brink of survival. And renting a room for five people is ridiculous.
Hence, we can conclude that in the current environment, none of the programs are intended to fill vacancies, but to help employers hire workers at minimum wage.
No employer will ever force you to work for them.If you receive an offer and you believe that it is not as per what you want in terms of responsibilities and salary,you absolutely have the prerogative to REFUSE the offer.No one will ever force you.
@@QuestCanada When a person needs to get PR, and the only option left is a designated employer, it's called being forced to work for minimum wage. The right solution would be to set the minimum wage at least at the level of $17 per hour as one of the criteria for obtaining the title of "designated employer" for immigration programs. Then a person would not work for a wage that does not even cover basic needs.
@@DenysAgeienko no, i certainly disagree with you. there are many PR options in Canada. YOu have to research and see for yourself which one is best for you.

Hi currently i received Job Offer for Tim Hortons New Brunswick then the immigration consultant want me to apply for AIP. i ask them if possible to apply for work permit since it is costly if i apply for AIP. i just want to know what will be the process? if work permit they will charge me 10K canadian dollar.
employers normally should pay for your application fees. Employees should not pay anything. This is only if the job offer is legitimate.

Hello Ricey, planning to take College Certificate-Client Services and Sales in NBCC in January 2024 its a one year course, due to my BPO 10 years experience, could i get a one year pgwp after that and would i be qualified for pr?
if you take a 1 yr course,you will get 1 yr pgwp.If you are qualified for PR,I dont know.Theres tonloads of reasons a person can qualify or not qualify for pr.

the new program for Atlantic region of Canada (Atlantic Immigration Programme) AIP only have 6300 approx PR slots for one year, now if the application comes for 10000 or 20000 then on what criteria they use to select the application for available slots?
And what is the duration getting an PR through AIP?

your eligibility plays an important role in being chosen. Plus how competitive you are i.e profession, education, location (inside or outside Canada). Each company decides who to employ.

I don't really understand what is the point of making such videos. You basically just read the list of requirements from the official website in front of a camera. The whole challenge is just in one phrase "to have a job offer" this is like 95% of the work. LMAO even explaining that settlement funds are increasing by 1000$ for each person, yeah right, I can read as well. 8 minutes of reading requriements from the website - well done! No personal hate tho, just straight facts.
