It’s ironic that Tony spent the whole movie getting rewarded for doing the wrong things and when he finally does a good deed by sparing the kid it actually ends up being a fatal decision that kills him in the end.

I see Scarface as a character study of the obsession of pursuing the American Dream which to most people is wealth, power and status by any means necessary. Tony Montana is an example of someone who attains the American Dream the wrong way and ends up paying the price heavily. He loses his family, best friend, his wife, his empire and ultimately himself in one night. His rapid fall from grace symbolises how someone can lose it all in a quick second. If they make the wrong moves.
American dream= Money/Power , He got it the only way he seem he could being a immigrant

the intro to the game is also very cool, he turns around last second and kills that assassin, and the tiger makes an appearance as the hitmen and police have a shootout

I actually find Sosa to be a pretty cold villain when he tells Tony to kill the guy that was gonna do a speech but he doesn't realize he had kids in the car so seeing Tony actually letting the guy live gave me the impression that Tony doesn't just kill anyone without remorse

There were plenty of other women out there and if he just HAD to have Gina, he should have manned up and told Tony about it instead of disobeying him AND sneaking around behind his back.

Anyone watching this video has to watch the movie immediately. This video is an amazing plot summary, but it would have to be at least three hours long in itself to be able to break down every genius detail that this movie offers.

@tokensart if he lives that defeats the whole point of the movie. Frank forshadowed exactly what Tonys ambition would lead to and he didn't listen. There was nothing left for him at the end, he flew too close to the sun and got burned.

I watched this movie for the first time during the early days of the pandemic. Then I forgot about it. I remember liking the ending song so I tried looking for it on YT but here I am. Great summarization. I enjoyed it.

Angel didn't have his arm cut off. He took the chainsaw straight to the dome. In the original VHS it's shown, but you also need a wide-screen TV to see it as VHS's were formatted for whatever TV you are watching on. But unfortunately wide-screen TVs weren't prevalent in VHS' heyday.
Side-note: This is the same for a scene in Grease where they're throwing shave cream pies at people for charity. On a wide-screen TV you'll see every person who's lined up to get hit with the pies, but on a regular TV it only shows one student and that gym teacher.

You didn’t cover the scene where I think is the turning point of the movie. Jerry meets with Tony in his mansion to discuss the interest rate on his profits and Tony refuses to pay the interest to keep washing money.
That’s how he meets with the undercover cops in the scene where he gets busted
Big part of the movie IMO but this film is worth the 3 hour watch. Every scene is so smooth and paces the film well.
