As a Latin person, I can confirm those Spanish songs in the list sound A LOT over here, I have never listened to them by myself cause I don't like them, but I still recognized every single one of them cause they sound in the streets, in the malls, in the school, at work, basically every public place.

Spanish person here: the genre of almost of all of the songs is reggaetón, as u said. Everyone here has heard all of the songs that appeared, wether wanting to or not. It’s quite a decisive thing, either u love it and stream the hell out of it, or absolutely hate it due to the fact that every single song has the same beat and quite sexist lyrics and videos
I’m on the side of hating it
I like the rythm, not the lyrics

Before Despacito was a thing, Enrique Iglesias dominated the latin music video list with "Bailando".
It was the first Spanish-language music video to reach 1 billion views in August 2015 and it was among the top overall with "Gangnam Style".
‘Tis true.
If UA-cam existed during the 80's and 90's, the TOP 5 (at least) would be Michael Jackson, that's for sure! =P
Omg I loooovveee Michael Jackson 🥰
👌👌nice
I can't agree more
Nah
Yeah definitely, Selena Quintanilla too. She would have blow these reggaeton artists out of the water.
Hispanic music is a whole new genre (Latino pal over here) a couple super famous songs in Latinoamerica and Spain are:
1. TUSA (Karol G/Niki Minaj)
2. Ay Dios Mío (Karol G - she's very popular tbh)
3. Miedito (Karol G)
4. Bebé (Camilo)
5. Hawaii (Maluma)
Tip: Call it hispanic music not Spanish, the songs are not actually from Spain, they tend to be from Latinoamerica (I understand you mean the music is in the spanish language but if you want to avoid ragging people say 'Hispanic' o7)
All of these songs are from Latin America though (aside from ROSALIA, but even then she's singing a reggaeton track). It's important to stress that because all those genres are from Latin American culture and does not include all "hispanic" countries like Spain.
These are the songs my mom plays everyday while doing chores 😂
It’s not anew genre 😂😂

I think UA-cam is used in a different way than Spotify. On Spotify, the songs need to be good. On UA-cam, the music video also needs to be interesting
You got it. That's why those spanish songs with fancy music videos and too many superstar collaborators are viewed so much
Yep, and that's why Gangnam style got so high up. It had a wild music video. Also maybe explains why the Havana music video didn't get as many because there was a lot of other things rather than the song in the video, so perhaps that's why the audio cover got so many views.
But then you have Baby Shark which has more views than there are people and it's the most annoying thing I've heard since Fred.

@@charlesm.2604 You're right, but then again I think that also a reason that is higher is the people that are also learning the language of spanish, and you kinda said it, Latinos do like this kind of songs and stuff and there is a lot of spanish (mostly mexican) influence in USA. However I also think it has to do with the fact that there isn't not only one country that speaks spanish, there are a lot too. And while I don't know a lot about India I do know (I'm probably wrong tho) that they use english too so that might be that. VIDEO IDEAS!:
• Songs that its title was not on the lyrics.
(What I mean is..."OBVIOUSLY" songs that its title wasn't mentioned on a song or on the song's lyrics)
• Multitasker singers. (singers who have other chores or stuffs other than making/producing music. Maybe Ariana Grande was a doctor...just kidding :>)
• Songs that are inspired by classical music or songs that sounds the same as classical musics.
(If you haven't seen or maybe you have seen/watched, Twosetviolin have already make a video/videos about this. But I wanted or maybe there are some people out there who also want to watch those kind of stuffs...so...why not to make a video like that..? I'm not forcing... I'm just saying. It was just that it was pretty interesting idea...but you can skip this if you want
(In beautiful in White's melody on the verse 1, it sounds the same as the intro of Canon in D but they were not on the same key...but still they sound the same... and memories's chorus part which was actually inspired on Pachelbel's Canon in D that's why they have similarities...
uhmm... Just saying -_-)
• Singers VS. Issues (heheh...)
• 16 levels of 'Never gonna give you up'
(totally not my original idea. Yeah...we know that it will took so much time and effort for this video but... We wanted to be rickrolled by Roomie Astley... Mweheheh. We will wait for this video...but you don't need to push yourself to do this if you don't have time for this thing...)
• Rapping Rap God backwards/Rap God but it's backwards. But not the whole song...just the fast rap part (then reverse it for the results...just like what you did on your song 'Numb' with Jonas but this is much...EPICO!... however, this will took forever! But pretty interesting...)
And lastly...
• Making a song with your wife (Davie504...or maybe...you have a wife other than Davie that is hiding on your basement...OMG!)
• You, being Dumb for 10+ minutes...
(just kidding...)
I promise this is the last one...
I miss your animation videos with Jonas and they were so really entertaining but I don't get how some of your viewers doesn't get it that interesting. Maybe they just want to see/watch music stuffs... But you and your team can make a plan to make a video that contains half animation video mixed with music thing...and also...you don't need to do this thing if you don't have time for this kind of topic. Just some of my suggestions and not forcing you/someone...(•ᴗ•)

latin songs: exists
roomie: ANOTHER SPANISH SONG
I know 60% spanish songs from this video and I'm from eastern Europe, there were big songs tho, US it's not THE ENTIRE WORLD so many of the songs deserved to be here, I have no words about the fact that you don't know some of them that are really iconic
dude this included international music the problem is if something gets big in America it will usually eclipse something that saw massive attention in European countries due to sheer population and the corroding capitalism of America the only countries that could actually eclipse America in views are China who basically doesn't allow access to UA-cam and India where most of the big channels aren't counted because people assume they used bots for views hence why American artists and some European artists who received the us populations approval dominated most of the list
He's Swedish not American lol
Video idea: "is this song in portuguese or spanish?"
kkkkkkkkk sim
Lol
KKKKKKKKKKKK pqp
@@Cacapopo7072 you do know that we speak portuguese in brazil, right? That "brazilian" is our nationality?
but yeah, it would be fun to watch him try to distinguish languages derived from Latin, since they sound similar for some people.
@@Cacapopo7072 do you actually think “Brazilian” is a language? lmao
Spanish is the SECOND most spoken language in the world, after Mandarin. Then it’s English
that’s only true if you’re talking the amount of people that naturally speak those languages, but when it comes to an universal language english beats thoses numbers
those*
@@evelynmendessantana2872 guess by 'naturally' you meant mother tongue. And that doesn't help your point btw.
Yeah English is the most spoken language with around a billion speakers but it only has around 400 million native speakers.
that's not true. Did u even google it? the most spoken language in the world is English then Mandarin then Hindi *then* Spanish
Joel: Spanish music
Me: spain? These are latin american lol
Spanish is the language
@@epoinen and south america speaks spanish
@@beans27_ actually, that part was brazilian. Not all south america speaks spanish
@@mykaella46 not brazilian tho its portuguese with a brazilian accent
I think that is what would happen if we had to differentiate between Swedish, Norwegian, and other Nordic languages. If you are not familiarized with them, they would all sound very similar.
Aside from most of the Daddy Yankee songs on here and maybe one or two others, I didn’t even know any of these Latin and Hispanic songs existed. I didn’t know the artists existed either. Daddy Yankee and Bad Bunny are like the only two who managed to be big in the English music world.
He didn’t find many “spanish songs” from the most liked because latin american people (like me) just listen to the song, but don’t give the video a like xd
I can't with the fact that he says "Spanish words" or "Spain" when all of the songs are from Latin America and yes, I neveeer click the like button 😂
But it’s about views not likes isn’t it?
It’s not about likes, it’s about views.
the worst is when he says Spanish song and it is a Brazilian song hahahahhaah, is not even in Spanish
all the views are from hispanic moms that play youtube music while working around the house
Curious when this list was made. Blackpink's "Ddu-du Ddu-du" has over 1.5 billion views.
That's a good song. The girls help sell it a bit as well :D
one of my guesses was blackpink's "how you like that"
Here for the same question
The video was made almost a year ago, in may 2020
yeah he should have looked at a more recent one
considering spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the world, it's not that surprising that there's so many songs on the list :p
But English is spoken even more than Spanish...
The fact that basically the only music videos ive ever watched on yt were katy perry songs (including bon appetit not knowing how weird it was) is insane.
I've heard a lot of these "spanish" songs, and I am from central europe. Most of them apart from just being good songs are cool to dance to, maybe that's why they are so popular
I am from Poland and I heard like maybe three songs. They are NOT THAT popular.

Well, it makes a lot of sense that many songs are in Spanish since Spanish is the second most spoken language
And english is third.
@@puertofcknrico4961 Well yeah but then again UA-cam is banned in china so, also another factor to consider is that English in a giant in second language speakers
oh ok
@@charlesm.2604 Yeah it is. But YT is banned in China, so basically Spanish is the most spoken language in terms of UA-cam. And after that is English.
IT'S A BIT LIKE STAR WARS AND HARRY POTTER! ®️™️
All I have to say is that the reason there is so many spanish songs has to do with the fact that alot of there songs are good at get togethers cause they have really good beats. I have partied with some of my friends that were from Brazil and Mexico and they always have really good vibes.
Brazil portugués bro
good beats? they all sound the same

Probably because every single Spanish song released nowadays has identical production and is basically kpop in a sexier-sounding language to the point that they’re kind of indistinguishable from each other?
