Iron Gwazi is a RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) roller coaster that finally opened in 2022. It replaced Gwazi, the classic duelling GCI wooden coaster which had closed both sides by 2015. Iron Gwazi utilises some of the same structure of the original duelling coaster and obviously part of its name is recycled too. Gwazi is a mythical creature featuring a tiger's head on a lion's body.
However, Iron Gwazi is more loosely themed around the crocodile. Featuring 2 inversions and a top speed of 76mph (122kmh) from a 206ft (63m) beyond vertical drop and some serious ejector airtime. Iron Gwazi is not only a significant upgrade on the original coaster, but also one of the world's premier roller coasters.
