I like the Forest harnes! When business are going better some day after covid 19 , i'm going to buy one ! Stay save and buissy my friend ! Here in germany we pray for an end of the Pandemie, to keep the Company alive....
Great to see your both going to do flying, a great way to convert money to noise for sure, and a great thing to do together, problem will be, you will both want your own plane, 2 RV6a's in the Hunickie Hanger :) hehe, good stuff indeed.
Very nice! Perfect Field goal man. No bounce and kick over. That fallers belt is cool. I like bucken Billy ray's axe 🪓 holder better though. Somehow I would cut myself the way your friends axe holders position. Great work and techniqe. Liked how you thanked the lord too! Men of skill certainly still want him to have our back! Joe Newman
I used the cut a lot fire wood when I was in my late teens. Fell a lot trees in the woods, I also played with leaning trees, even had them go the total wrong way. Didn’t matter because nothing was hurt...was 24 years ago. You had me riveted the whole time!!! Heart rate went up! Then I had to tell myself this is August, Relax!!! Great job 👏 👍👍👍
Nice shot! I always learn something from you August. I had a tree very similar to this that I could have done like this yesterday. Thank you again for all you do brother.
Used this technique ( more thickness on one end of the hinge ) today on a huge 8' across pine down in NZ with a 880 and a long bar. otherwise it would have blocked a road. Still owe you for this hint ... shame I can't post a photo. Keep up the good work August. I'm a fat bastard with a 40" waist ... do you make those harnesses in that size ?
Great video content as always but I do have a question. a home owner that's not going to be doing huge trees but there are quite a few evergreens so some of the limbs will be 5,6,7" round at best what would you recommend for a brand of chipper
Cool driving plane. I don't know if you got 1 of the video to long of a comment. You do good work. Good 1st fell, I have a bad shoulder, wear I broke collar bone and dislocated twice so I can't throw a baseball like 50%, so do you have a cheap good idea to throw a bag over limb. I seen G.O.T. with a slingshot contraption. Do you have a better way since my arms bad?
I've never felled trees in a high stress environment. The most stress I encounter is trying to keep the tree from hanging up in the tops of nearby trees. I only cut in the woods. Flying is fun..as long as your pilot isn't a maniac lol.
wow. what a shot! The little short video doesn't do it justice at all! :) Great explanations and diagrams. * Question please? ........ where would the tree have landed if you had *not* continue to cut after the tree started to fall? thanks. cool about your 12 year old son flying. all the best.
2:34 that angle really shows how much Hez takes after his dad :-) 3:00 What is going on with the tree behind you off your left shoulder , with what looks like balls of foliage throughout the branches ? 7:17 "That's the August I know" You got that right Damien , good on you :-D
I don’t know if you noticed but the little evergreen balls of ivy in that tree. behind the red barn. they look like they’re floating. what are those? I’ve seen them where I live
Good looking belt , what are the benefits of this belt over say a Weaver for the price point .Weaver is 189.00 depending on where you get it from. #IT MORE FUN IF THERE ARE RISKS
I know this is the way you want to do it. But wouldn’t it be easier to set it all up with a fat hinge and pull it with your truck. Well that’s how I’d do it 👍😉
At bosses farm doing some cleanup work 1990s he asked me can i drop a big old pine tree 🤔 i think i can ive watched dad & others do it . it was on a hill slop , i walked down put an Old bucket where i,m gunna try drop it . 10ms L8tr the boss was dam u hit it :) watching this 1st tree drop i had $10 bucks on the Green Lay shadow winner gee i still calculate ok 👍
The game of winning and losing towards the end is interesting. In Japan he is called JYANKEN. Did you win on the right? In Japan it's called "choki scissors"
What's the deal with the tree in the background of some shots that has all the clumps of stuff? It's over your left shoulder at 11:06 among other places.
August, I love this video. The arrows tell a great story and your tutorial brings the whole picture into focus, thank you.

YES "YOU" are 'that good'! The hand of the Lord is on yours for sure! Thanks for sharing. Sonny (CT)
I knew you could do it August ! And it was perfect !
I have and continue to learn from each of your videos! Thanks!
I really can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge on this stuff. It’s really helped me be more confident in my own abilities.
Great to see your both going to do flying, a great way to convert money to noise for sure, and a great thing to do together, problem will be, you will both want your own plane, 2 RV6a's in the Hunickie Hanger :) hehe, good stuff indeed.
How did I miss this video? First time seeing the falling setup. Love that axe holder.

Good job August and you too Damian. Take care and have a blessed week.
THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!! I laughed out loud at the fall. God Bless.
Well planned and executed... Loved it..
Nice shot, field goal is good! I really liked when Damien hit the wedge unexpectedly and you jumped like the tree was starting to pop.
He clipped me in the elbow 😁
@@AugustHunicke ow! I hurt my elbow!
Just amazing!! August you have taught me sooooo much! I appreciate your channel, your passion and dedication to your craft.
Great shooting August.
The trees shadow pretty much painted the layout picture on the ground for you. Nicely done. 👍
It's pretty awesome that you AND your son are going after the pilot's license.
Outstanding job!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing Hez!
Can’t wait to see some flying videos.
Only flying advice I remember is to aviate first, navigate second and then communicate. 👍

I have to admit, I was quietly skeptical on that fall but you nailed it. Nice one!
Excellent! I have to fall a tree this week that’s doing the same thing. Thanks for the tips!
Careful. It’s tricky 🤠
@@AugustHunicke yes it is. And I’ve looked at it more closely, and my tree is in baaaad shape. I need to rethink it.
Nice shot! I always learn something from you August. I had a tree very similar to this that I could have done like this yesterday. Thank you again for all you do brother.
curling with trees...lol
NICE!
Love it especially when I’m learning that’s what I like about your videos I’ve learned a lot from you and the other guys
Did you miss the rose bush too?
Good.😆 shooting parker!!!! Thanks my lady 😂😂😆👌👌👌👍👍😆.💪

6:37 looks like Damien gave you a good startle! bad timing for that whack on the wedge.
Gets the blood flowing great work👏
Shehoooobis! You GREASED that landing! Doh!!!!
Ever use any "sizwheel" "sizwell" techniques? Good for a swing in the woods, but not accurate enough for residential?
Seen it done but I haven’t.
Never doubted it for a second! You still could have done it if it was leaning towards the house haha. You are a legend!!!
Great video content as always but I do have a question. a home owner that's not going to be doing huge trees but there are quite a few evergreens so some of the limbs will be 5,6,7" round at best what would you recommend for a brand of chipper

@@AugustHunicke thanks.

APTA from TreeStuff (air cannon)
August have you ever used the triple cut to fall a leaner? Could you demo it?
I've never felled trees in a high stress environment.
The most stress I encounter is trying to keep the tree from hanging up in the tops of nearby trees.
I only cut in the woods.
Flying is fun..as long as your pilot isn't a maniac lol.
Understanding how,and what your doing in this video comes only with experience. Love it guys.🌳💚🌳🌳💚👍👊
the tree full of mistletoe in the way background was a little distracting LOL ..
What kind of axe head is that in the rig?
Reons going to be happy camper 😁

Mistletoe
I was wondering - why not drop it in the direction it wants to fall. Space enough it seems. Or is it the sport? Worked great though.
Nice shot love it when guys know what to do an do it flawless ✊👊
Experience counts men, great job 👍
Nicely done
Looks like you really enjoy the challenge.
August: "im worried the lawn may get disturbed when this 100' tree falls on it so i'm going to pick what blades of grass it will fall between"
Much respect for your skills!

As someone who loves shooting long range I totally understand the “aiming over here 👈 to hit over there 👉”thing😅
rt at 7 min, I'm totally feeling the nail bitting ! just watching ..
Nice video amigo
That was Way cool, crazy Skills yall have, thanks.
Awesome video brother
UA-cam's auto subtitles thinks your chainsaw is *[Music]*
It's smarter than we give it credit.
😂
Great Video. The suspense was getting me haha
We need to see a video on you getting it totally wrong and wrecking something 😂
Long waits there. Just not in August's DNA.

That is some pecision there. Wow!
Seems like you are really liking that 500i.
I love the thing
I fear for your back cramped in that pilot seat but I wish you and your son well in your lessons.
August Nice Shot
Yay was one big “YEAH!”
Nice shootin, an yer 400 still seems good for that harness.
Damien is like a caddy you should go with the wedge.
What's up august bro Nice.😆 mate
Ooh, I'm nice and early... lovely.
Good shot.
Out here like Patrick Mahomes with those no look passes
Dang, you're good!!!
"Some times you have to turn left to go right." Henry Ford (probably)
Would be nice to see wedge placement next time. Nice drop though.
The game of winning and losing towards the end is interesting.

Glad I stayed up!
good shot cool
Stunning,great.
That property owner needs to get the mistletoe out of that tree in the background before it kills the tree.
What's the deal with the tree in the background of some shots that has all the clumps of stuff? It's over your left shoulder at 11:06 among other places.
Mistletoe
I only like leaners when they are leaning right where I want them to fall.
Why not tip it first?
Why not put it on the ground whole because you know you can 🤠
Praise The LORD indeed 🙏
cool cut
...WOW!
nice shootin August
stay safe stay healthy
Wow!
Amazing ability.
Lucky shot 😂
Oh hum an other tree video. Then like clock work August dose it to me like always The boy flying a plane. Back to the bent tree witch way will it go.
