Oh WOW, my favorite song when I was younger, I am 75 now, I still love it and they are still AWESOME... God bless them , their voices were incredible when this was done,a few years ago
I'm quickly approaching 74 yrs. of age, this was a fave as a kid. The Cascades came to Vietnam to entertain the troops and did this song along with covers of The Four Seasons (Sherry) and Diana Ross, (The Happening}. They Did snippets of those songs to the "T" and provided me and I'm sure many others with a great time and fond memory. Thanks guys.
Love this song, and love that it was written and sung by an alumnus of my high school who graduated 10 years ahead of me, John Claude Gummoe, Collinwood High School, Cleveland, Ohio Class of 1958. Thanks for the memories from Collinwood, Class of 1968.
They obviously didn't meet the criteria, do I hear you say they should change to let them in? I see people on here say that all the time. If they did what everyone says about changing the criteria, then they may wellnot have it at all.
I've enjoyed this tune since it was first released but one pleasant tune shouldn't make an artist RRHOF material. Then again, considering the acts that have been inducted, maybe that one pleasant tune from the Cascades should get them inducted. Consider who and what could come next, though..."Billy, Don't Be A Hero" by Bo Donaldson?
one of the first if not the very first concerts I went to this group performed at, and this song was current, playing daily on Seattle radio stations, one of my fondest memories of 1960 or so, I wasnt even old enough to drive,
I remember when I was about 5-8 years old that I has this one song I really love to hear and that's thanks to my father who influenced me to it but as time goes by I'm almost 20yo now I really forgotten that there was that song I really loved to hear until just this days ago someone(i think he's a guest) sing this song in a TV show then little did I know that this was the song I really love to hear when I was a kid, it sure brings back my memories and I'm thankful that I found it once more❤️. I just want to tell all of you who reads this that I will not type this long if I'm not telling the truth, I typed it cause I wanted to share this story of mine.
Definitely a song worth remembering (I would put in in my top 10 of all time). I had a song I liked, which had the mysterious ability for whomever was the DJ playing it, to not only not tell you the name of the song, but not the group as well. Back in 2016, my mother was in a hospital, and I even heard the damn thing in an elevator. this song had been taunting me for over three decades! I knew then I just absolutely had to know the name of it and who sang it. I think the only reason I ever found out, is I recalled some of the lyrics and typed them into youtube's search engine, and there it was. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/nu_qFzsPOzg/v-deo.html
