I just have to repeat another's comment. Because it's a perfect point of view. "This song always made my heart ache and it still does. It's that indescribable longing and Chad and Jeremy captured it perfectly" WOW!

I remember listening to this song in the 70s on my transistor radio in my room while trying to look out my rain-soaked window with no place to go, and nothing to do. Those were the best of times. Classics like this never die.

I have watched their early rendition of this song hundreds of times, and just never get tired of it. It literally defined an era, and ranked as one of the very best songs of that era!

This white boy grew up with the Four Tops, The Temptations, Gladis Night and the Pips and the Friend of Distinction! I adore this group and fell in love with the two ladies---voices like silk, wonderful lyrics and a Spirit unmatched---Friends of Distinction---FOREVER!

This is a master class that all singers should watch, no matter the genre. Like Barbra Streisand, she learned to preserve the very BEST of her voice, long past her prime recording years. Drugs, alcohol and cigarette smoke affect professional singers in different ways, but Judy's remains as fresh and untouched as it was in 1961. If this is what Heaven sounds like, then those of us on Earth have truly seen the best of both sides now. This is magnificent.

My very first record album was theirs. I was 10. I still have it but it's so scratched up I can't play it anymore. Oh BTW, I'm now 68.

I'm 66 and this song sounds as beautiful as I first heard it as a kid , when relatives would hold " House parties" and the kids were stuck in the back bedrooms and all we could do was listen to the music playing !! " Git back in that room" !!! 😝 this new lead singer does the song justice !!! 🤘

I saw Gordon in Ft.Worth, Tx. He had such a strong, deep, low voice that I wondered for a bit if he was the same guy who sang with Peter Asher. He must have had to restrain himself an awful lot to sing harmony with anybody.

Elvis did this in Jailhouse Rock in 1957. And you can bet that is where Peter and Gordon first heard this!! Kinda' weird that Peter didn't know the words & needed a little bit of coaching from Gordon. Still a great effort!!!
