Chinese 250cc ATV clutch replacement

- So when I got this engine it didn't run and the clutches were toast. we got it running now time to fix the clutches. I don't really know the make of this engine, just that it is from some kind of Chinese atv. After hunting on the internet I found some that I thought may work. So we pulled the old ones to measure them and I decided it was close enough to order them and see if it works. Well they fit perfect and now we have a good 250cc engine for this go kart build. Next we gotta get it mounted to the frame and build the rear swingarm.

Bought a 250 cool sports atv it’s a Chinese brand whatever I need a clutch it’s so worn it barely takes off any owners manual says it’s a wet centrifugal slice any ideas what I’ll need
Would just remove the old clutches so you can take measurements and you may be able to find something that will work on ebay.
I put the new clutch back on it drive it everything perfect stop it to see it around go to the second try an is like punching forward little by little like something holding it in the clutch but it goes on reverse perfect I dont get it why
May just need adjusted to fully disengage.
Hi what were you measuring with the socket? I have a issue I select gear release the clutch and nothing do you have any ideads what it could be
I would guess they need adjusted or replaced. You adjust the clutch by how much the clutch lever needs to move to disengage the clutches. I wasn't measuring with the socket, i was marking it to cut so i could make a tool to remove the clutches.
Whats the motor reving in every gear because that's the problem I have

If you have the old one that has a part number on it you could try googling it. Other than that you would just have to try and find one that will work on ebay or something. Im not even sure the make of this engine i just happened to find some clutches that worked by measuring them.

Hi I have a 2005 Yamaha Bruin 250 it works starts right up everything is good the only thing is that it does not go fast at all it barely even has power to turn what could the problem be?
If it runs good but doesn't move it could be the brakes locked up or something like that. You can jack it up and try turning the wheels by hand to see if they spin. Any problem that would cause the engine to have no power would probably make it run bad.

@@juanrazo9173 could be the clutch. Does it just rev up when you hit the gas instead of moving?

I see them but not the one that goes on the middle there 6 of those an the 5 on the middle I need the hole kit
I have a vitacci pentora 250 2019 I was trying to get the hole kit I just thought that's what I need to fix the clutch
@@eduardofeliciano9990 i cleaned and reused the old steel plates from the old clutch on ours. If you dont a wanna do that you'll have to search for the kit online somewhere. Sorry i couldn't be of more help.

What is the model of ATV motor?
Honestly have no clue. There are no markings other than 249cc on the jug. It looks similar to the older style lifan engines, honda also made a similar looking engine. Thanks for watching Alex!

Hey Adam, im not even sure who the maker of this engine is. It is similar to the older 2 cylinder lifan engines so perhaps that would work. This one dosent have a good harness either, but it has enough that i can still make it run with my own wiring. Thanks for watching! 🔥

An how much oil I need
You just use the normal engine oil you would normally use. As for how much you will have to just add it until it reaches the full line on the dipstick. Should take around a quart id guess.
