Love the way you do these videos- I sit through each one breathless, as if it was a murder mystery ("Will it work out? Will he finish in time? Stay tuned!!") A fun video and a great ornament too? What a deal! P.S. I just ordered my ornament - can't wait to sit it next to last year's. Mele Kalikimaka to you both!
I wish I had found you sooner! This is amazing! I can't wait to see what you come up with for 2023 Christmas! And hopefully I can add it to our tree this year!❤❤❤
Ooh Ooh! I gotta order this. I have last year's ornament displayed year-round with a mini purple Dollar-Store LED light strand inside of it. Love-Love-Love it! 💜
I came here because of my interest in slip casting. I work primarily in manufacturing. I design and build machines for forming sheet metal parts. I just finished a machine that dropped the cost from $1.05 to $.09 and we make 1600 of them a day. I want to marry my art with manufacturing, most efficiently.
I like your work-flow except what you do in AI. Have you ever tried convert path in Inkscape? It will give you a dxf in one click. I like placing geometry with positioning via hot-key's. I tried a pencil because I like drawing but the speed at which you can make stuff move with a few hot-keys and the mouse is unbeatable. Regardless, great work!
There are many ways to skin the vector cat, and Illustrator is my favorite. I’ve been using it since 2000 - and it integrates so well with my other daily apps (photoshop, Premiere, After Effects). My feeling is if it works for you and gets the result you need, go for it! 😄
Someday! I YEARN to return to fireball island. It has been sitting patiently in the studio waiting for me to find time to finish it. Hopefully in January I can find a weekend to do the final touches. ✨🤞✨
Do you have any recommendations for getting the rasterized engraved areas to look nice? I've had lots of trouble with it. Lasers are fun for sure! My makerspace has one with a 250W beam that can cut through a 2×4 haha
My partner Ms VanTiki (aka The Laser Queen) says you need to play with focus to adjust the quality of engraves. I’d love to try cutting with a 250w laser!

The movement with the eyes came out amazingly wow!!!
Thank you! It was a tricky challenge - but well worth it!
The ornament design reminds me of Olmec from Legends of the Hidden Temple on Nickelodeon.
Man! I wish I had known about this last year!
these videos are always so interesting
Thank you!
The eye mechanism works so well, great design!
Thank you! It was fun to figure out
Delightful as always.
Thanks!
Always love your videos, great stuff!
Thank you!

This years design will compliment last years nicely!
TTT time. Heck yes!
Apologies for the lack of episodes 😁
So so cool 😊
Nice trotec. It is the coolest!

Awesome!
So good 🖤
Thank you!
Also super curious about how you get such a nice effect on the cork coasters you do. Those look so amazingly black
It’s all about the laser settings. Mrs. VanTiki does lots and lots of tests to dial it in.
@@vantikistudio so no special treatment on the raw cork material?

I appreciate the many ways to get to an end result. Your work is quite remarkable. I found your videos very informative. Keep up the good work!
Not to bash your other videos, but do you have an idea when the last Fireball Island video will be posted?
